| A few days ago I recieved a random add request from PSN BlAk_HaWKK_0831 wanting help with his level. I told him I didn't have time to add and help him directly and instead directed him to the Logic Packs and other various tutorials. The rest of the day I was bombarded with messages requesting that I give him my elevator and other objects from my level, which I refused. Today I logged on to find mulitple abusive messages sent a few hours earlier from BlAk_HaWKK_0831 and 3 other users, who I'm assuming are friends of his, threatening to repeatedly 1 Star and negatively tag my level unless I give him what he wants. Upon checking my level I noticed the rating had dropped by 2 stars and an abundance of negative tags had popped up. I had no other choice but to block, report them and lock my level. I'm highly effed off that this kind of BS is still rampant within the community. This is pretty much the reason I abandoned my old PSN account and started fresh. What do I do. Can't tell if this is rhetorical or not, but I'd say you're gonna have to put up with it, unfortunately. | Bah, other idiots that join the game eh? Sigh... Sadly, the most effective way to fight these kind of idiots ois by backfiring and back threathening everyone of the people thatsent you hateful PMs (sometimes they just think they can do whatever because they're not the main threat, so thretening them usually stops their action) to stop with same penalties if not done, overpowering them, tho its not 100% safe as it might start a "war" oer say, but if extremely overpowered, the other party usually stops very quickly. Also a lot of times they do whatever they want because people think they'll stand there and take the threats, that's another why back threathening them might work as well. | The sad thing about that though is that if the person had even tried the slightest he could of easily done what he wanted. I mean an elevator, 1. there not that difficult to do and 2. You directed him to the logic pack and did I make this up or is on of the logic pack tutorials, How to make an elevator. I feel sorry for you that you took the brunt of this but seriously, if these guys are such Aholes like that then they are playing the wrong game. They should go play gears of war or something and just give them players abuse, it would be pretty funny seeing them getting chainsawed in half every 5 minutes. Anybody want to open up calculate and find out 30% of this active community. | I think you need to call in someone who can give you a little "favour". Someone who loathes idiots.....well, all excluding himself... Someone who knows how to plague people who H4H and kill off LBP players like Cluck Donalds, AKA Jeriko (I suggest barbecue flavour, just incase you feel peckish...). Dont worry. The red stains wear off after a while. BUT... On a more serious note, if i was being attacked by someone, i would ignore him. I wouldn't be too bothered about it to be completely honest, as my levels only have 20 plays or so, and they arent that good. But still, i do try to make good levels, and i'd pretty much do all of the above to pillage whoever did it. If you ever feel extremely down, i can cheer you up. I know the way to the fun. | I've never been the victim of this kind of behavior, but LBP is plagued with immature individuals. It really does irritate me. But I am not going to go rate his levels low, even though one part of me wants to. The side of me that says that is not a healthy/mature resolve is winning. | I'm not sure whether anyone has mentioned this, but you can't spam rate. You can spam TAG (play over and over again and choose different tags), but each person can only rate a level once - so unless you rate someone's level when it has very few plays, a few people can't really do much damage to a rating. | I've heard that from a few people too (but never heard of any tests) that it only records your last rating. Easy to test if you have two PSN accounts. Build a locked level on one account, send a key to the other, and see how the overall rating changes each time you re-rate it. I'd guess it probably only remembers your last rating, but that's just speculation. Did a LOT of testing on it. Each person can only rate once per PSN, so it's virtually impossible for a single person to destroy a rating once there are a substancial amount of plays. I've just revisited this thread since my last post, and it looks like I've instigated a hate-campaign of sorts, which really wasn't my intention. :blush: Just because I got a little hot under the collar and down-rated this idiot's levels, that doesn't mean you all need to follow suit and form a lynch mob. Yeah sure, I'm 35 years old...but I don't always conduct myself with impeccable maturity. It was a knee-jerk reaction that in retrospect could have potentially caused more problems than it solved. That conversation was amusing but once he realizes he's in no danger, he will continue doing the same behavior. I'm not sure what the best solution is at this time but ignoring/blocking him is a start. To avoid difficult situations like this in the future, I'd advise not to accept random friend requests. | Hmm... seems as though I'm not needed this time around. That's good ^_^. This sorta reminds me of when Icey's levels were copied (which also started an uproar). Thankfully, the copy-cat faded into obscurity and nothingness. All went back to normal. If he was just bombarding you with messages, just send him back a nasty letter. I remember doing this on MW2 a few days ago (it was about noob-tubing or something), and the lil' whiner hasn't lashed back yet .Don't worry, I'm sure he'll get bored and bother someone else (or Josh scared him out of it) soon enough so you don't have to do anything drastic.
