I have a PS3 Eye, just keep that in mind.

I was wondering, I have played a levels and there are really good images of Mario chracters etc...
My question is, How do you get really good images?
I want to know becuase I want to get some images offline and put them on levels. Thanks.

Don't use a PS Eye.

Depends which levels you're referring to. Generally they're not single images, but made of many seperate pieces of material, each stickered with a different solid color. You can use the Sticker & Decoration Edit Tool while playing a level to work out how it was done in each case.

No, I've seen them. There was a level that had just a white square with a koopa troopa on it (One Sticker). They cut around it so you couldn't see the white square.2010-04-04 12:26:00

You can actually pull off some pretty darn good stickers using a ps eye or eyetoy (both give the same resolution, but the eyetoy has a manual focus so it's easier to work with, plus you can pick them up used for a few bucks). I believe the ps3 also supports some webcams, but I'm not sure how you'd go about finding out which ones are and aren't supported (of course Sony will probably disable support for non-ps eye cameras in a future firmware cuz that's how they roll).

If you want to see an example of a really well made level using an eyetoy, check out Kiminski's "Lara Cloth Tomb Raider: Helgardh." (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=21790-Lara-Cloth-Tomb-Raider-Helgardh&highlight=helgardh) I bought an eyetoy just because of that level.

And here's a guide on how to take decent pictures with it. (http://www.littlebigplanetoid.com/feature/how_to_capture_the_best_quality_images_with_eyetoy )
