How to get only the head of the hammer object

Hello!
I ust have found a way to separate the head from the body of the hammer object
Note: the head is INVISIBLE

1 - Place 3 hammer at the same place, each in each layer

2 - Place darkmatter in the head of the 3 hammers (one darkmatter block for all the 3, not one for each one)

3 - Make a knife that is WAAAAAAY bigger than the 3 hammers and put it in the most back layer

4 - Close the popit then open again and select the knife

5 - Be sure that you arent in pause mode

6 - Now start hitting the hammers! (note: Is NOT easy to break only the body.)

7 - When you see you broke the hammer, you, dont really broke it, you broked the BODY of it. As i sayed at the top of this post, the head of it is invisible.

There's a lot of things like this. I never knew about the hammer, but I've got an invisible knife blade, an invisible fist (from the male doll arm), and invisible spikes. You can't get the invisible blade anymore, but back when you could, it was done by tearing all the pieces off the terrible Oni (though I haven't tried your specific method on the knife, so it may be possible). The invisible spikes come from turning all the parts of the spike wheel from the potc pack into dissolve: the spikes will fall down, but they'll become separated from the actual sharp part. Move one aside and smash the rest and then you can capture it. I'm not really sure how I got the fist. I glued dark matter to the shoulder and then attached a string from the fist to another piece of dark matter. Then I pulled it around and the forearm broke, leaving the fist and the shoulder. Click X on the fist, then L3 and then paste it, and the pasted one will be invisible. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a solid visible fist without the rest of the arm.

If you do the opposite: smash the hammer's head; you can get a thack layer handle. The head still shows, but it's collisionless. Not especially useful, but eh. You can smash the blade and handguard of the knife, too, and end up with just the handle (which is also thack), but again, the blade still shows: it's just collision-less.

[edit] It's also possible to smash only the sharp edge of the knife blade, leaving a knife with a blade you can stand on, but it's tricky to do. I've been trying to smash everything except the sharp edge, but haven't been able to pull it off. If you make a knife really big and select it, you can see the outline of the sharp edge. It's really narrow, which is why the knife has to be really big to see it.

Yeah, I found a similar one where I once removed the foot from the Temples theme blue dancer leg. An easy enough useful one is seperating the thruster from the MGS missile, and if you're lucky, being able to keep the warhead.2010-04-04 23:43:00

I got the explosive part by crushing the tail. I think I got the tail by gluing a material to the missile and capturing it: it doesn't always work, but for some reason, it can make the tail indestructible (to explosion anyway). It might've happened when I unglued the missile, though. Not sure.

The explosive head has a lower yield than an impact explosive (if you resize them both to the same size, the impact one will make a bigger hole). It's also thack layer, so it can pass in front of checkpoints, unlike the impact explosive which is thick.

The next time I decide to do an update rollback, I'll have to see if I can separate the sharp edge from the knife blade. I was able to break it several times (so the knife still had a solid blade, but it wasn't sharp, so sackboy could walk on it) but none of my attempts ended with it just separated.

You can attach a switch to it, but it only blows up if it hasn't been "broken." If you break the head off of the missile, the tail won't be destroyed by explosives: even if the explosive is the head that originally came off the missile.

Incidentally, you can also hook a switch to the head of the missile that will trigger the explosive without needing it to hit anything.

I got the missile tail by accident. I was abusing rtm's emitter blocking theories to emit 99 missiles into the same spot in pause and then I unpaused. After the endless explosion and lag, there stood a lone missile tail, covered in explosion stickers.2010-05-25 08:37:00
