Hello ali985.
Nice job man, i like your puzzles and your platforming elements, but I think that your corner edit is a little simple in some parts, like in that saqure platforms above the gas.
And the biggest problem is that you don't use any camera sections in the whole level. And I died many times in your level because of this issue.
Sometimes, the trees blocked my vision and I fell down to the gas, and when I was solving some of the puzzles, I don't know what exactly were I doing because I had not vision of the whole plane.
However, nice work and I gave you :star::star::star::star:,
See you ali985.

thanks for taking the time to give me feedback
so i should make the platforms more like rocks?
oh i see! yea it was originally all square and all wood.
very simple. and i added in the environment later on. do u think i shouldve used less trees?

and yea ill add in more camera angles to assist

Just played it,

Okay so I liked the feel and style of this level, but I expected more of a creepy and dark type of swamp. Even though it wasn't what I expected it is still a swamp, right? So as I progressed through your level, I had the same problem with the trees. It was blocking the way, so yes I fell into the gas. You shouldn't use less trees but instead move them somewhere else. If you remove some trees, it'll feel a bit empty. Make the skinnier or corner edit hole in them so you can see yourself. There was also the part with the rotating platform. You had to rotate it to press the button, but I could not see if it was at the correct angle. So I went up to check and it wasn't right. I tried going back down, but it was hard since the rotating platformed that I just moved is now blocking the way to the lever that rotates it. I tried using the ramp you're suppose to use to go up and back down, but I could not see because of the tree. So basically, the only problem with your levels is the camera angles and the trees that block the players vision of things.

Your level was excellent though. I gave it 4 stars. I'll give you 5 once you have fixed the angles and trees up okay?

Hi there here is my feedback:

As for v1.0

1-Right at the beginning when you grab the sponge ball to come up and get out of the hole with the creepy green eyes when you grab the ball it should start working up and down instead of only going up when grabbed and and down when not grabbed be cause when i balanced my sack against the wall i let the ball go to soon and felled down to the same hole but the sponge ball stayed up there and I had to restart the level!

2- Great use of all the tools specialy 3 way switches!

3-The green gas worked great and it gave your level a very realistic touch!

4-Rated 5 stars +heart for the complexity of the engines and the use of tools

As for v1.1:

1- Good distribution of the new bubble points

2-Better corner editing

3-one of the point bubbles on the bar that is attched to a plus sign by a motor that we make work by changing the position of the 3 way switch.

4-still rating 5 star + heart

Everything is okay for me. The trees were positioned out of the way and also one had a hole in, it which I liked. The camera angles were positioned right also, so now I can see things clearly. So I gave your level 5 stars and a heart.2010-04-04 09:14:00

I finally got some time to play more levels and I have to say, this one is my favorite so far. The environments are just plain fantastic and the puzzles are simple and elegant. The only thing that could use a little work is on the final puzzle, I think the doorway that leads to the tree should be a little bit bigger since it is hard to get the rotating platform just level enough to enter it, the same with the doorway atop the tree, I think it needs to be slightly larger since you are jumping off of the chain knob.

Keep up the great work! :-)

So I have to say this was a real treat to play. This is actually the first swamp level I have played on littlebigplanet so you get a big plus for creativity. Now one of my favorite things is how you captured the way you captured a swamp and your use of materials and gas was fantastic. I really liked the puzzles and little platforming you had in the level. One thing that was a little underwhelming was the length. Overall I gave 4 stars and a heart. I look forward to more of your work. Also by any chance could you check out Target (1.1)?2010-04-05 21:56:00

Great level Ali! Like the Tominator said, you really captured the essence of a swamp, I loved the snake skin trees.

Your mechanics are great, everything worked very well and I was impressed with the layout and your level design.

No story, is no problem when you have great atmosphere, cool puzzles, and sweet platforming.

I gave you 5 stars and a heart as creator.

thanks alot
believe lt or not i actually constructed the whole level using just a square brush in wood material. then i had to decide on a theme. and it took me AGEEES. in the end i did a swamp cos in LBPC's logic pack they showed u how to make a swamp on the ps3 version.
i had alot of fun making the swamp except that the timed staircase part broke so many times!

HI ali985
I just played your level. I think that you did a quite entertaining level, you did an excellent job with the environment, with the art design and the music selection I felt a kind of relaxation when I was playing it, the puzzles were quite pleasant, very good level I gave you 5:star:

Hey Ali! I played your level a long time ago and I forgot to give you some feedback. It's not going to be long to my lazy nature.
Well your level was fantastic. The environment was great and detailed. The puzzles were also great. Although I did have trouble with one of them...
The corner editing is also great.
I gave you 5 :star: and a heart.
Keep up the good work.

Hi there. I just played your level. I found it really great. You been working hard on this, and it's pretty decent. I love the way your background, scenery and music suited each other perfect. And there's many decent gameplay ideas too. I found the motor bolt puzzle as a good idea. The one with you having to hit the switch, and the platform needs to be crossed, and not vertical.

Would you like to try my level? F4F

I had the high score on this, then Memorex had it, now I just got it back, but he'll probably get it again because I missed the last bubble chain before the scoreboard and I didn't ace the level.

Once again Ali, this level is great!!

Well I know how good at creating ali985 is, so I will more than likely check this out. Looks good, (that lever picture bit looks a bit frustrating, but fun too!)
anyway, I'll go check this out. Should be good from what I've heard and seen. And from what I HAVE heard, this level is something special (I know that ryhmes when you say it in your head dosen't it? - funny that)

enough babbling, my sackperson is eager to get cracking.... "Sackboy! move it! we've got levels to check out!" LOL, just trying to persuade my sackboy to come adventuring.

Thanks ali985, I have never played many of your levels, but the ones I have played blew me away, literally! so, I'll get going....

Hey ali985,

Congratulations for making it to the Community Spotlight! This level had some unique and quirky gameplay, and the atmosphere was spot on. I would've never expected a swamp to be aesthetically pleasing, but you miraculously did it with this one. Awesome job, and keep those levels coming!

Hidy Ho ali! Now that I am done with the craziness of finishing A Dingo Down Under for the competition and finishing Destiny (which I was in middle of when I started A Dingo Down Under), I finally have time to leave some well deserved feedback for others

-Wow, the beginning of this level looks great, has great sound effects, and great choice for music. Definitely set the mood well

-When you go down the hole at the start the front layer peels away. I like that :-) However, I'm wondering why you allow the player to see outside the level there? It sort of takes away from the awesome atmosphere that you are setting. Why not just place a camera there so that the player can only see inside the hole?

-I just fell down to the first section with the poisonous gas and pressed the button. That was all very well done. Good stuff

-Holy crap! The platforms were timed! Nice touch! They went down while I was typing my last message :-P

-I had a bit of a rough time with the part where you take the sponge up and have to climb along the platforms. For some reason I just couldn't grab that sponge. I have a theory. I've had this problem in the past with other levels, and seeing your level, I wonder if it is because you have sponge in the background as well. Perhaps this makes it so that it is hard to grab the sponge in the foreground. Sure, it makes no sense, but it still might be the case. Either way, it's not your fault :-)

-The color block challenge was fun and looked very nice!

-I can see outside the level again Hmm... I'm starting to wonder if you intentionally do this to make it look like a swamp. Can you layer multiple layers of green smoke to make it so it is less see-through. As it is, it is just too see through to give the feeling that it is a swamp.

-I love how the stairs moved up to make a flat walkway, and the sound effect was awesome!

-I love the sticker behind the switch that makes it looks like it has been rubbing up against the wall!

-The challenge with the tilting platform where you need to get up to the button was a lot of fun.

Okey Dokey, I just finished the level. Man, this level looked so good. Once I understood that you were trying to make the green smoke look like the swamp water I understood what was going on. I still think that a camera may have helped at the start though since you do kind of see outside of the level.

The gameplay/mechanics of the lever were great and I had an absolute blast! I really mean it! This level was a lot of fun :-) Keep up the awesome work!

What a great level this was! I really enjoyed all of it, even if there were some flaws. You managed to create a moody environment, it looked like a real swamp. I loved your timed puzzles, and the color puzzles was awesome, although it felt out of place. Maybe if you had placed some industrial ruins in the middle of the swamp... I don't know. Some parts of the level could have benefited from further work with the corner editor tool, but like I said, the environment looked fantastic anyway. 4 stars and hearted to help you with promotion. Good stuff! I can't wait to play your next level.2010-04-18 11:10:00

I played this earlier, here's a review.

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay was great in this level, I saw a bunch of good old classic gameplay elements. There was also some very nice puzzles, such as the one where you had to pull the switches, and adjust it to where the color is the same as the one below it, that was a good idea.

VISUALS

I loved the visuals in this level, from the beginning to the end. The level had a great, gritty swamp feel throughout it, and I liked your choice of materials.

Overall, this level is really worth giving a play.

:star::star::star::star::star: and a heart.

Hey. That Pok?mon edition gives the level a nice touch. You've really designed the Mart and Center good. But when it is a Pok?mon edition, I thought that there would be some Pok?mon's in it, but there weren't. It's a shame, because Pok?mon's such as Grimer and Koffing would have suited the level well.

Would you try my newest level? It's called Find the Four Eggs. It's a bit out-of-season, but I think it's better than my past ones. (find it in my creations)
