How do you make a cutout of your sack?
Archive: 7 posts
Actually, CAN you make a cutout of your sackboy? What I mean is, your sackboy is on material that is exactly/roughly the same shape.... All I can think of doing is taking a photo of the sackboy, pasting it onto a huge block of material and then cutting the corners...Which for me, does not result particularly well... Does anybody have any ideas? ![]() | 2010-04-01 22:22:00 Author: RadioPaint ![]() Posts: 61 |

Use the corner editing tool instead of trying to cut with other material, and it should go pretty quickly for you. | 2010-04-01 22:24:00 Author: RoharDragontamer ![]() Posts: 397 |
No, that's what I mean. I am using the corner editing tool. ![]() | 2010-04-01 22:25:00 Author: RadioPaint ![]() Posts: 61 |
I think when cutting out pictures it's easier to just use delete (when you've got a shape out but not put down press triangle) to cut out parts of it. The corner editing tool is not really for cutting things out, more for adding points to shapes. | 2010-04-01 22:47:00 Author: Doopz ![]() Posts: 5592 |
You're doing the right thing but you need to make the cutout much bigger and then use the corner edit tool. You'll find it much easier that way. Then when you're done shrink it back down again and it will look very smooth, assuming you did a reasonably neat job to start with. | 2010-04-01 23:32:00 Author: mistervista ![]() Posts: 2210 |
First off, take your pic on one solid backround, black or green. Have you notice that green screens are green, it is esey to pick out the object its trying to put in the backround. Then, get in front view. then put it on a materal that does not deform when you would shrink it. like wood. Place the pic VERY BIG then do a rough cut useing triangle, witch DOES not need to be even near the edge, just soo you dont need to go far to get to the edge. then if the pic is big enough and it has a solid backround, it should be easer | 2010-04-01 23:41:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Have you notice that green screens are green, it is esey to pick out the object its trying to put in the backround. And bluescreens are blue. ![]() The choice of screen color in chroma keying (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_key) depends on the predominant colors in the foreground and background you intend to use for compositing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compositing), which doesn't really apply to LBP. To assist in cutting out in LBP, you should more likely consider the predominant colors around the edges of your foreground object, which, for a sackperson, may well depend on what costume you're wearing. However, mistervista's tip is probably the most useful: edit an enlarged copy, then shrink it down when you're done. | 2010-04-02 18:08:00 Author: Aya042 ![]() Posts: 2870 |
