For a reason I wont mention Sack will be asked to head to the Forsaken Mines.. Sack must be carefull though as the entrance is guarded by a faul beast called Morbidallia...

Note:
This my "Ode" to "Vera Bee" the person who created the "Original Vera Bee Sticker set"
She created the best sticker set in LBP so far, or at least the most important one of my series,
My levels would not look as good without them..
I therefore thank you, Vera Bee for these awesome stickers!

I would like to thank my friends and family for putting up with my endlessly endless timespending in the LBP editor.
I would also like to thank Adipose for having some patience and letting me finish this massive beast called STl 5.
But I wont forget Thegide who helped me come up with some gameplay elements for the level.
I only used one or two.. but I will most certainly use the others in another challenge level I am designing.

Also lots of thanks to everyone who helped me test the levels..
Shuluu, Fred, Judy, Draakje, Ladylynn and many many more.
Thank you for making my endless hours in the editor less dull,
and all of your anthousiasm every time one of you entered the editor gave me a huge smile on my face.

Enjoy!
Any comments, reviews and head-up's for problems in-game are appreciated!
I would also like to know what you people think of the conversations in-game.

Extra's
My biggest level so far.. but what do you expect if its 2 parts.
Best lighting Ive created so far, I have spend so much time getting it right.
I have never seen a Beehive theme on lbp before, so I would say Original theme!
Visually my best/most original work yet.
Good and fun placement of score-bubbles.
Lots of Prize-bubbles.
Every object you will see in the level is original and self created.
Lots of cool/funny characters.
Boss Battle.

Build time level 5 part 1: 2.5 weeks.
Writing mouths/timing mouths/retiming mouths/improving grammar/re-improving logic: 1 week.
Build time level 5 part 2: 1.5 week. (minus boss)
Build time boss: 4 weeks.
Build time boss level: 1 day.

Please note:
Very important.
Part 2 is mostly gameplay besides the audience with Vera Bee,
But for the best feel of the levels I would suggest to play part 1 first..
Even better would be if you would start at level 1, unless you have played them all before.

For those of you who haven't played this level, it has one of the best boss battles I've ever seen. Everything about this level is spectacular, from creative visuals to fun gameplay, this level has it all. The only problem is the minor grammar mistakes in some of the speech bubbles, but other than that it is almost perfect. A must play for anyone who has ever heard of LittleBigPlanet. 5 stars and a heart.2010-04-04 22:50:00

You were right, the boss was brilliant and challenging. Beautiful scenery and well done on the Ignoria Gorge cave background. What other bosses have you got planned or would that spoil the story?2010-04-05 07:54:00

Very entertaining & beautifull level.

A very different visual look for the beehive.
Fantastic design on the Queen.
Liked the hazy background cave with the outbound bees.

Varied gameplay. I like the sense of backtracking (the way you pass the mine-acces right at he beginning, and loop back after meeting the Queen.)

The honeycombs are a rather tricky part to navigate through.
After blowing up the vines, it's rather hard to jump over the mist-filled gap, because of the vertical stump jutting up in the backlayer.

Great bossfight, the slowly recharging cannons really added a sense of drama. Great scenery, with the disintegrating platforms and the moving vines in the foreground.

Fantastic stuff.

Oh, pickle added me on psn, i thought the name was familiar but I just woke up so brain worked on half potential (10%).
Ill add you on psn pickle.

What other bosses have you got planned or would that spoil the story? Blarghh will be a boss obviously,
but I also got a huge spider-boss (gide helped me with movement, but still needs some love and care)
and the final boss..
what will happen.. i wont tell.. but if killing the spider is as epic as I dreamt it.. it would be awesome!
lol.

* added a small note at beginning to warn n00bs about the lots of speaking stuff.
* Improved logics at Amber/Morbid/Stephen cut-scene, Stephen will now no longer fly away without sackboys in his carriage.
(havent seen this myself, but I can believe people would go wtf lol)

Stop caring bout the darn stars and ratings lol.
I've allready told you that if you keep republishing, they will dump down.
The community will always rate (most) good levels down, because they don't like the fact that some people have skill and create good levels, so they rate low as a revenge.

As I said to you in-game, I won't play this level cause I've spent so much time seeing it be made, that I'm kind of tierd of it.
It's still a great level tho!

I played this level last night and loved it. Visually I think it's your best work yet (together with Part 1 which is also awesome - the gorge view is outstanding!). You created such a great atmosphere for the inside of the hive ? all mellow and golden ? and the lighting was beautiful. I liked all the intricate interconnectedness of the hive and there were some great camera angles there which allowed you see vistas of areas you?d already been in with bees flying around in the distance. It gave a great sense of scale and depth to the hive. The area where Sack has his audience with Vera Bee was simply lovely (as was Vera Bee herself!) and again beautifully lit.

I very much enjoyed the dialogue and the story too. The characters are like old friends by now! The game play was good as well, both fun and challenging in parts. It took me a few goes to get the hang of the bees flying over the green gas, lol! Then to add to it all, there's the boss fight which was just excellent. As pickled-punk said, having to wait for the cannons to re-load added a whole lot of extra tension!

Great level - both beautiful and fun to play. 5 stars and hearted!

I played both parts 1 and 2 of this story driven level and it was a visual masterpiece and fun challenge. The design of the insects looked fantastic and the level design itself is outstanding. Now I see why this level has been spotlighted. I'm a bit confused on the story because I haven't play the other 4 of your levels yet but the gameplay is good. I also liked the usage of the Vera Bee stickers in this level and it's funny that you named the queen bee after her. The boss battle is great too. Good work.2010-04-19 00:41:00

Excellence. You know what's my favorite DonkeyKong Country 2 level? The Beehive.

I always thought this was an amazing and original setting and now you just pulled that off in LBP. It's really, really, really freaking cool. I LOVED it.
The characters and little story also keeps you interested so now I am looking forward entering those mines!

Keep up the great work

Ok, I played this a few days back, it was probably one of the BEST levels that I've played in weeks. I have to say that this is your second most visually stunning level (First is your cave level). I also agree that the beehive theme is very original, because I haven't seen that done on LBP ever before. The characters were great as always, Vera Bee was my favorite. I can tell that you are a master stickerist. You also picked your materials very nicely.

The gameplay in the level was great too, it was nice to actually interact with the characters as they helped you get through the hive. It was also nice that before the boss fight you came back to the door at the beginning that was closed before. The boss fight was epic too, but I'll save the feedback for that on you other thread. You are great with story-telling, the dialogue actually interested me.

I rated it :star::star::star::star::star: and hearted it.

For some reason I was not able to load this level anymore (when published) even overwriting it with a previous backed up level 5-2 did not work..So I had to delete it and republish.

For that reason I spend about 2 hours adding some extra scorebubbles and a few extra other details before publishing on a clean spot.
