Shrink a hammer?

If the idea is to give the impression that sackboy has shrunk, then you'll need to use one of the many 'teleportation' techniques to move either sackboy, or the background such that everything appears larger afterwards.

Aya has a great idea! However if you are only looking to shrink the hammer then you might queue up special effects to obscure the original hammer such as bright foggy lights and smoke from some rockets. At the same time de-emit the original hammer as well as emit in a new smaller hammer in it's place.2010-03-31 15:10:00

If the small hammer is simply a shrunken version of the large one, then do something like this...

Build your hammer in the small size and capture it.
Set an emitter to emit the hammer where you wish the small one to appear.
Set the emitter's max emitted at once to 1, lifetime to infinity, and attach a one-shot switch.
Trigger the emitter once to emit the small hammer.
Now resize that small hammer to make it larger, and put it where you want it, making sure it doesn't block the emitter.
The next time you trigger the emitter in-game, the large hammer will vanish, and the small one will take its place.

Yes. How else would you be able to subsequently resize it?

But if you emit during create it doesn't (or didn't) count against the total emitted at once. Doesn't the first have to be emitted during play to achieve the demit effect?2010-04-01 14:00:00

Not anymore. This was 'fixed' at some point, since it's the same principle that allows my thermo-cheating technique to work.
