The Bunker 2poms ?You?re back in THE BUNKER, but your way out seems to be locked?? Hi there! I?m posting to let you know I have published a sequel to my most successful level: The Bunker. The title can?t be more original: The Bunker 2. To be honest, when I was making the teleporters I use in the level, I was thinking on a level called ?The Doors?, and the description was going to be ?Break on through to the other side?? that would have been funny This is a level I had to do long ago, but for different circumstances I've been delaying it month after month. And during some periods, I thought I probably never make it? But this last month I knew I was going to have a lot of free time, so I thought it was ?now or never?. Ok? I hope you like this one. I know it's not my best work, but at least it will make you spend some entertained minutes? Thanks! | 2010-03-30 09:15:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

Thanks to all of you for your feedback! And... sorry, sorry, sorry to all the people in my friendlist who suddenly discovered the level finished and published  I was supposed to work hard on it during the weekend, but I didn't do a lot, and I thought I'd still be working on it another week. But sunday night I made a "final sprint" and I just finished it... Yesterday I was messing around adding some decorations, but nothing left to do with it... so I pressed the "publish" button Thank you all anyway for playing those boring-unfinished-nonworking versions of the level. I hope you like the final result | 2010-03-30 16:27:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
"The Bunker" is one of the best levels I've ever played and the sequel has pretty much everything I remembered in the first installment. The first Bunker has explosive puzzles, volcanic enemies, amazing architecture [especially the underwater with the ruins], and awesome gameplay. "The Bunker 2" is the same except with newly added stuff like the teleporters where you hear an awesome explosion before you go to another place, the use of jetpack for more puzzle solving, and an disgusting but clever opening where you escaped the room using a toilet. Although the enemies are not as original as the first installment, you managed to surprise us with more explosive puzzles, and cool usage of teleporting, jetpack, real water, and a sweet submarine ride. Brilliant level! | 2010-03-30 18:25:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
Really un level! I just played it and the bunker 1 (i think i was one of the few who've never played it lol,) and they were great fun! I really liked the teleporters. The sound effects and synchronization were bang on, and really made it feel like you weren't dying, just moving The vehicle parts were really cool too, especially the sub under the water. awesome level! | 2010-03-30 18:57:00 Author: Duffluc Posts: 402 |
WOW! It was fantastic! Not your best work?? I think it just might be... or at least equal to that of your other work, which is all best work anyways! ^_^ | 2010-03-30 18:59:00 Author: miltonTPS Posts: 126 |
Great level mate! Played it last night and loved everything about it, especially those teleporters, they were a nice touch I messaged you on the PSN to let you know about a visible speaker, i was just guessing you missed that one out | 2010-03-30 19:01:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
Thank you all for your good feedback! @tonytwogunz: I saw your message, and made it invisible. Still have to make invisible the ones that are emitted by the boss... I'll do it tonight Thanks! | 2010-03-30 20:29:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
Loved the level, only a couple of flaws: the boss was great, but sometimes the bombs just stopped moving and looked odd the enmies were also great, but a little too basic, even a coloured sticker would raise the visuals the teleporters, 3 types and there only needed to be 2; the third seemed a little unecessary 5 stars and a heart; loved the gameplay, you've just raised the bar. | 2010-03-30 21:00:00 Author: flamingemu Posts: 1872 |
Wow, I can't beleive I haven't noticed it was published yet. Definitely going to play. | 2010-03-30 21:42:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |
Awesome! This has to be a must play! I haven't even played it yet but I'm pretty sure it'll be a hearted, 5-star winner of a level | 2010-03-30 22:37:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Absolutely excellent poms! Simply a masterpiece of a level, gotta be one of my fave levels, it's one of those levels which you won't get bored of even if you played over and over. Wow what can I say about the teleporters they're so much fun lol great Idea and blends in well with the atmosphere of The Bunker. Remember you said once they had a bug but you've certainly worked that one out xD congratz | 2010-03-30 22:51:00 Author: XXGrEEn0Xx Posts: 75 |
You are an amazing creator, poms. Keep doing what you do. | 2010-03-30 23:20:00 Author: cdubb024 Posts: 247 |
Thanks to everyone for your feedback! Nice to hear that a sequel to the old Bunker lvl still gets some interest I'm specially glad many of you liked the teleporter thing. It's not anything I have invented, or anything too original, but I took my time to make it a bit credible and fun at the same time. Thank you all | 2010-03-31 01:46:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
Another amazing level to add your your list. I was wondering what you would use the teleporters for when you first showed me the concepts. I think the way you used them to incorporate the old gameplay mechanics, kept the feel from the original without it being too similar. I really enjoyed the floating bomb section where you need to dodge them going up the chamber and then grab them in mid air to explode the bombs blocking the way forward. I really liked the start where you jump dowm the toilet into the ... um ... crap . Im not a fan of water and I think how you blended it into the level was great. The last section used different vehicles to move the player much faster than the very slow swimming speeds and was very fun. Incredible work again. I always look forward to one of your levels as I know you always deliver. :star::star::star::star::star::star: and hearted. | 2010-03-31 04:05:00 Author: SteveBigGuns Posts: 423 |
Ok, here's a minute by minute: Zap! Kablam! Pow! Zap Zap! Sploosh! Bam!.... and so on and so forth. I walked into this one expecting (and looking forward to) a bunch of explosions, frenetic gameplay, and some nice paintinator action. You delivered on all accounts. This is definately, as was the original, a great twitch action blow-up-fest. Nice job! | 2010-03-31 04:28:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
@ SteveBigGuns: Thanks dude! Always nice to show you my work in progress and hear an expert opinion like yours. Glad you liked the floating bomb section, this is my favorite part too. I was going to make a randomizer for the floating bombs, but then I thought about Logic Pack's randomizer which is the best I've seen. So, thanks to Logic Pack! @ CCubbage: Glad your thirst of explosions and action was satisfied with this level Looking forward seeing your name in the high score soon! Great all round Poms, lots of fun and varied stuff to do. The teleporters have a fantastic and solid feel to them, you really feel like you're being munched up and spat out, heh heh! I really liked the bombs on balloons combo run too, I always love sections where you get a little more freedom of choice with how to play and maximize your reward. Excellent as always! | 2010-03-31 12:55:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Hmmm... I'm not quite sure this is your best level, poms. In my opinion, the Bunker seemed alot more realistic and gritty, while this one seemed to be a little bit too bright - you're in a cavern, so why should you have sunlight in there? Some of the decoration choices were a bit bland, and the materials should have been changed. I thought it was okay, but there good be more jazz in it - for example, the boss's explosive part doesn't seem very fluid, and just shooting the bombs as they rolled towards you destroyed them. The fireballs needed to be black-stickered golfballs on fire, and the teleporters had weird wooden bits. Stick to fewer materials so I'm not as distracted - it helps for your rating. Four stars! | 2010-03-31 17:10:00 Author: Richasackboy Posts: 619 |
^Not sure what he's on about... But this is brilliant. Everything that was happening in it was something new, which is what makes me prefer this over Spice and Co. 2 problems: The arm for throwing bombs isn't' needed as I could do it myself and save time. The 3d part where you used the temple stone to make a viaduct looking system, was under-decorated in the background. Everything else was wonderfully fine. 5 stars for the experience. | 2010-03-31 17:27:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
Just got around to playing it, plenty of fun bomb-filled puzzles to keep me occupied throughout the level. The teleporters were cool, and the beginning was good too. :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart. By the way, Ima try to get a highscore later on in the week. | 2010-03-31 20:18:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |

The 3d part where you used the temple stone to make a viaduct looking system, was under-decorated in the background. Everything else was wonderfully fine. 5 stars for the experience. Changed the viaduct background and added another decorating layer. Thanks! You're right about the arm-throwing bombs. But I'll leave it as it is now. The "puzzle" having 2 solutions is not an issue IMO. Hmmm... I'm not quite sure this is your best level, poms. Don't know what to tell you bud... Good idea about the golf balls, if it wasn't because they take 3 times more termo that a rounded piece of wood... and if the ball is on fire, it doesn't need to be stickered. About the global ilumination, It uses the same background as 1st Bunker, but this one is brighter because there are more switches and stuff that if the level was darker, would be hard to see. About bland decorations, I have no ideas what exactly are you referring, but I think it's one of the strong points in the level. In the boss fight you shot the bombs, but you have to shot the moving mechanism when it shows. So I think it's Ok The only think I will try to do, is to change the wooden material of the final teleporter, there you're probably right. Thanks anyway for your feedback, and for your suggestions Just one thing I would like to add And I'm not referring only to you; this is something that happens to a lot of people, seeing the in game comments that players leave in the level. I'm talking about the idea of "This is not your best work... 4 stars". This is totally wrong, and very unfair. If my PSN nick was "Mr.Potato", and I throw a level like this one, it would be judged very different by many people. But after publishing Spice CO, that apparently was better that my previous work, I have to make something better... or I get 4 stars. Nevermind, I think this is just human nature Thanks! Yeah.... I don't know... now that I've heard you COULD HAVE used golf balls in your level, I'm gonna have to change my rating to 4 stars. You should know better than to build a level without golf balls. you're in a cavern, so why should you have sunlight in there? I gotta agree with him on this one too.... I have yet to see a technology that can produce light in a cavern without direct sunlight, which means the concept of having light indoors is highly illogical.... at least until the invention of the light bulb. | 2010-03-31 21:30:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Agreed. Poms, based on your reply to this, I don't rate people based on their popularity, i.e. This level is not as good as the last, etc I would rate this level 4 stars even if it was made by Mr.potato I actually think you have it backwards. I see horrible levels made by well known creators that get 5 stars without a problem. I saw slight improvement over The Bunker, and it has been a long time since that came out. The teleports were good, but they didn't contribute to anything much more then my losing points. The balls of fire are understandable to save thermo. The enemies were quite lack-luster. Now don't get me wrong, it's a good level. It just doesn't have that wow factor that you need in a 5 star level. And cubage, you don't have to be an @sshole about it Sorry that the kid is trying to give advice rather then doting on him because he's Poms. | 2010-03-31 21:33:00 Author: nitewalker11 Posts: 222 |
And cubage, you don't have to be an @sshole about it Sorry that the kid is trying to give advice rather then doting on him because he's Poms. Sorry... it just sounded funny. Not trying to offend. I don't dote on anyone because they're anyone, and Poms knows that. But the truth is, his feedback was HIGHLY subjective and had a very unfriendly and judgemental feel to it. If you approach feedback negatively, you generally get a negative reaction. So, saying things such as "not your best work".... "you're in a cavern, so why should you have sunlight in there"..."stick to fewer materials so I'm not distracted", which are negative, subjective remarks that have very little to do with constructive critisism - will generally result in a poor reaction by the creator... who feels they have created their "art". This goes for giving feedback to ANY creator - if you want them to listen to you, use tact. Generally, this is what they do for fun - their not trying to develop commercial software here. Here's an edited version that may help for Richasackboy's future feedback: I enjoyed it. This was a fun level. However, there were some things I enjoyed about the original Bunker that I feel could improve it visually. For instance, maybe drop the lighting a bit and use some mood lighting so it FEELS like it's in a cave. Also, in "____" area I felt the "______" decoration would work better. The boss could use a bit more special effects when it "______"'s... and maybe use "______" as a boss weapon instead of simply shooting the bombs. It also occurred to me that fiery golf balls would look pretty cool as fireballs, and you could probably change the appearance of the teleporters and do "______" to them. Also in the "______" area there were quite a few materials. Seemed a bit busy. Just making a few suggestions, but I really enjoyed it! See? Positive. Check out the thread "Fair Feedback" for further info. | 2010-03-31 21:48:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Nevermind, I think this is just human nature I was going to mention this in my earlier post but i didn't want to de-rail the thread. I noticed a few in-game comments and it does seem a bit ungrateful to play a level as fun as this, only to comment that it's not as good as 'x' or 'y'. Its a valid opinion, but if thats all you can take away from playing the thing, then just go and flippin play 'x' or 'y' if you like em so much. It's an unfair and easy criticism of any creator. Who, you know, bothered to spend all that time to give you a new level to play. | 2010-03-31 22:17:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |

No offense here. Let's not take thing too serious pls! Well, I know there are many creators that get 5 stars with a crappy level... I just want to think I'm not one of them, but there will always be someone(s) that will say I am. I know a good example of a famous creator, who published a level under a new PSN nick, and he got the biggest success of his life making people believe he was a new and "innocent" creator. I saw slight improvement over The Bunker, and it has been a long time since that came out. The teleports were good, but they didn't contribute to anything much more then my losing points. The enemies were quite lack-luster. All of this is subjective. I think exactly the opposite to all of that. And if you think the enemies weren't good, pls tell me some examples of "good" enemies you've seen in the game, because I think they are not worse that any standard enemy I've seen. Now don't get me wrong, it's a good level. It just doesn't have that wow factor that you need in a 5 star level. Of course I don't get you wrong. As I said... let's not take this too serious pls! About that Wow factor, I have to disagree again with you. All the people who tested the level couldn't help to "wow" when they were teleported the 1st time. The ballon-bombs, the rolling fire stones, the boss... Once again, I'd ask you what do you consider a "wow" factored level? any examples? And please, let's not loose cordiality. I'm not here to promote any level. I just want my friends to tell me what they think about my new level, a level I made for fun during my free time, and hoping some fellows would enjoy. Thanks | 2010-03-31 22:18:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

I agree with this 100% People are thinking more about who has made the level rather than the level itself. It'd unfair that just because it may not be your best in their opinion, the lower the ranking they give it. I'm guessing that if you didn't make Spice & Co before this, everybody's opinion would go up. When I play a level I try to ignore the fact any creator has created other levels, so my opinion isn't swayed by other levels this person has made. But sometimes you can't help but compare. Just scrap the comparrisons when you make your final judgement, an there you have it. A fair opinion. | 2010-04-01 09:22:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
Some big updates were added yesterday: - An amazing Atlantis statue by Cortez72 was located by the boss. Thaks Cortez72! it looks awesome! - Lots of "screaming" sounds were added to the boss. Also an amazing explosion when it dies. - Changed several materials and ilumination in the temple before the water part. I'm quite shocked how this level jumped so quick to the top ranked position. Funny to see how hate comments multiplie x10 there. A level in that position is supposed to be the BEST level of the comunity... what a responsability! I bloddy know it's not the best level! lol. Same as all the predecesors weren't, but I never complained about Bora bora's island being the top ranked... We all know how the rate sistem works. I just hope I don't have to apologise for being there. Thanks! | 2010-04-02 11:18:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

Hey Poms I played this, after loving the first Bunker level (Which, although I hate to say, lives up to it's reputation as one of the best levels), and I wasn't expecting it to be as good as the first. But I was wrong. Although I feel that the monsters and bosses could have been improved somehow, the rest of the level made it up to me - especially with those teleporters! They were amazing. I really thoroughly enjoyed the level and when I finished it, I went back and played again. Was that good! Some original puzzles in there - especially with the bombs falling on parachute type things, and I love the use of the teleporters when running away from the firey boulders. I did have a slight problem with the submarine on my first play through - but I don't think there's anything you can really tweak about that (I managed to turn it upside down, and then spent ages trying to turn it right way up again so the door would open). Just wanted to let you know! Anyway, definatly a five star level, and worthy of a heart! Nice work! | 2010-04-02 17:22:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
I played this, how could you miss it when it's on the highest rated? I thought it was awesome! I loved the teleporters, they worked really well. :star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::s tar::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::sta r: Unfortunately I couldn't give it that, so I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: instead . | 2010-04-02 17:29:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
Hi Poms!! ...I know, I'm late to the party again!! First off.. really cool concept. I loved the popping all over the place, though perhaps the first time I played it I felt it was a bit much at the first transporter segment. However after just replaying a few more times, I have to admit it defines the concept in seeing them and understand why you did it. I liked all the variation to the level. I think my favorite bits were jet pack segment where you fly up avoiding the balloon bombs, the submarine, and the jet boat segments. Loved the use of the 3d glitch here and there. Very nicely done! I also liked the initial parts of avoiding the fiery logs. Most of them were expertly done that provided great cover to respawn in if you died. However a few nit picks.. There were a few of those same log rolling segments that if you got in a bad sequence you were toast upon spawning in, either by logs rolling over you or the last one with the moving platform just not being there. I think with some extra nifty logic you could make that only move when there is a sack person up there and remain to the right awaiting the spawn. I sorta wished for the enemies to be a bit more detailed. I thought they were clever, but being so so small, perhaps just some interesting stickering of some sort? The one with the spotlight was a cool one for sure, but it seemed a bit top heavy and sometimes felt like when going to pop him, it would move on me and treat me to a plasma ball. Not really a big deal though... Awesome job my friend! 5 stars and a heart! | 2010-04-02 18:37:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
hey poms, this was an awesome level kinda different from the first one. The game-play was simply amazing, very nice, i love the boss and the teleport because you did it very different from what people tend to do. Great job, keep up! | 2010-04-02 18:45:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |

Just wanted to let you know! Mmmmh... I'm reading too many complains about the enemies... Well they are not monsters, they are robots, androids... whatever you want to call them. I'm happy with the boss, but seems like I'll have to start to think on how could I improve the enemies. About you submarine issue... I knew it was possible to turn it upside down, because I did it when testing. But I found it quite hard to turn it... and it was a lot easier for me to turn it right way up... so I decided to leave it just in case someone decided to "play submarines" for a while. Thanks very much for your feedback! I know that if you die in the bad sequence, you get toasted twice... I tried to avoid that by emitting the boulders when sack was teleported there, but the game play didn't run as fluid and it was confusing if going right or left after being teleported. And there was a "strange pause" before the boulder was visible for the player... My idea here, is that before being teleported, you are able to see the upper boulders and you get the chance of being or not teleported. That's why I fitted those wide angle cameras in every teleporter. Same concept, with a "little twist" with the last moving platform. When you are in the lower part, you've got the chance to choose the right moment to be teleported and land on the moving platform. The fact that if you choose the wrong moment you fall, and probably die, was made totally in purpose. Ok... enough. I'll revisit the enemies tonight or tomorrow. I'll try to make them look better Thanks JWW! your feedback is always welcome (and needed) and don't worry for being late to the party! Yeah.... I don't know... now that I've heard you COULD HAVE used golf balls in your level, I'm gonna have to change my rating to 4 stars. You should know better than to build a level without golf balls. I gotta agree with him on this one too.... I have yet to see a technology that can produce light in a cavern without direct sunlight, which means the concept of having light indoors is highly illogical.... at least until the invention of the light bulb. No offence but your ego seems to be as big as your mouth, at least on here anyway. I'm sure this is an awesome level but everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if you have nothing good to say then keep it shut unless it's in a polite way. Geez. Edit: Sorry, didn't read the other posts. I think I'm having one of 'those' days. | 2010-04-03 11:17:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |

I thought it was better than the first ^^ Seriously, the first was good, but I only played it once it was already dated, so it never had that much wow on me, but this had some great touches and nice ideas. And visually it was so much better than the first. In particular, the part where you needed to perform timed teleports so you could come out and land on the platform that was moving - really nice gameplay dynamic there. The boss felt a little off to begin with (can't say exactly why, just felt generic), but I really liked when you reached stage 2 and it unfurls into a bigger version of the previous enemies | 2010-04-03 12:58:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Thanks dude! I've got nothing against someone to tell me the first was better, but if someone does I'd like him/her to be more explicit. I'm very critical with my own work, but I'm convinced this one laughs on the face of the first part. | 2010-04-03 13:14:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
I thought it was much better than the first, very tricky on the boss fight because of them creatures spawning and then the mouth opening and closing. I know that Anposteller will only give you an honest opinion... And I think it goes without saying that the levels such as '7 free trophies' are over rated. Remember you're a creator... not a n00b like the people who made those. Anyway, onto my comments: Teleporter idea was very good, works nicely with 1 player... although i did feel things got a little hectic with 4. Also it was nice to have to time the teleportations at certain sections. Tbh I wasn't too keen on the enemies, yes they were creative in terms of mechanics but I felt they could have been more polished visually... such as publishing with speakers on- I wouldn't expect that on a 5 star level. Perhaps some decorations and stickers would spice up their designs? As for the remainder of the gameplay it was mostly original. Relatively simple, but flowed nicely. I would have preferred more of a challenge in some places... such as the submarine section. As for overall appearances, the level looked a lot better than the first. Good use of all 3 layers throughout and the 3D layer glitch towards the end. To sum up: As I commented on your level, its a level built for the masses and in that sense it delivers superbly. I don't think there's been a minute without 100 people playing it. Its a worthy sequel to the first although I would have preferred something more challenging. | 2010-04-03 21:15:00 Author: ladylyn1 Posts: 836 |
I love everything about this level, and like all your other levels it is just straight up FUN to play! And those little versions of the boss- if you really look at them, the way the move and the noise they make- they are hilarious! (in a really good way!) Sometimes I can't help getting a bit ****** off, when I read comments like this. When I read the thread and checked out the first half of the level today (my one and a half year old interrupted) the level had a five star rating with 26k plays IIRC. In my eyes, that's a success. No need to let you be bothered by a couple comments here or online. The vast majority of players seem to disagree with what a few negative posters may have to say. (However, you can't really make a sequel without comparing it to the first. I'm sure you understood that going in. Take everything with a grain of salt, or a stiff drink, whichever you prefer.) I've alway thought cool pages is like kiss of Death, but the number of plays a level gets there can't be compared to anywhere else. A level will always sink there, except it's totally easy. That's ok with anposteller. I just didn't like he got mixed in there, and I think he wouldn't like if I did the same to him. I know he's always very honest, and such honesty helped me a lot to improve levels like Spice CO when he beta-tested. I'm sure all of this is forgotten and we'll laugh as we always do when we join to play together again. **dies** Geez, guys! I didn't mean to make a big deal of it! It's just that I haven't been taking very many writing lessons and my wording might seem harsh. I can understand that it might've taken up more thermo, but I just though it would be a good idea - just cuz I liked what Mm did in "The Mines". Stickering the golfball black would make a difference because I've set normal golfballs on fire and they look like fairy lights. =P It's all to do with what people look for in a level - some people, like me, might be looking for different things. That's all. | 2010-04-04 17:31:00 Author: Richasackboy Posts: 619 |

I started to get bored in create and so gave this level a shot. Overall I really enjoyed it, it played well and left me very little to critique on. The level of difficulty, although a little too easy for my taste, kept me amused and should guarantee you a relatively high completion rate. Feedback: The teleporters: Apart from being well designed and to showcase your skill with logic, I couldn't really see why they were present in the level. They didn't really fit the theme and only really served the purpose of eating into my score every time I was forced to use them. Perhaps have each one emit a Self-Destroying creature brain offscreen to compensate for the 50 or so points that are lost during each 'warp'. The creatures were really basic and their design seemed somewhat of an afterthought compared to how much time had obviously gone in to the layout of the rest of the level. A few still had visible sound objects. The Boss was great, no qualms here. I liked the 2 stage design. Overall, I was really impressed. Keep up the good work. | 2010-04-05 10:36:00 Author: Unknown User |
(...)The teleporters: Apart from being well designed and to showcase your skill with logic, I couldn't really see why they were present in the level. They didn't really fit the theme and only really served the purpose of eating into my score every time I was forced to use them. Well... my explanation for that would be that they are just another game play element. They are a lot more original and fun than using a for example a lift, or a grab sponge. They have also some other utilities. At the end of the bomb-ballon section, the teleporter is used clearly as a "X" to take off the jetpack. At the same time, they are used as a check point, same thing for the boss section. And I know this is subjective, but I think they do fit very well in the theme: Androids, robots, bombs, ruins of an ancient civilization... why not teleporters? Perhaps have each one emit a Self-Destroying creature brain offscreen to compensate for the 50 or so points that are lost during each 'warp' Dude... this is a fantastic idea. And I'll update the level with this feature as soon as I can. Thanks The creatures were really basic and their design seemed somewhat of an afterthought compared to how much time had obviously gone in to the layout of the rest of the level. A few still had visible sound objects. I updated enemies and made invisible ALL the sound objects yesterday night. You probably played it before the update. Thanks for your good feedback dude, and thanks again for the self-destroying idea for the teleporters | 2010-04-05 13:48:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

like ccubbage and you poms for not taking kindly to anyone who didn't love the level Actually, I think I apologized for my post there..... I think what I said was misinterpreted (which is my fault). My original post was not meant as a slam against the author, but was simply meant to be funny - which obviously didn't work. But, my point in the way Poms TOOK the comment is valid: All the creators are trying to have fun. None of us are being paid - this is our leisure time. And at least on this site it would be nice if, when giving feedback, people treated the creators as friends. When giving feedback, try to give useful information in a way that's easily accepted. The reason Poms was a bit harsh was specifically because of the beginning: "This isn't your best work". Which is immediately negative. Same with the comments you mentioned on his level.... We can all take some constructive critisism, but the way some of these people approach it sounds rude. If you were talking to someone face to face, would you REALLY say those things about their art? I've seen many brass, unhelpful comments on levels recently that I've probably started to get a bit frustrated. Posts such as "I'm not going to sugarcoat it - this level is TERRIBLE", or "They shouldn't have spotlighted this level!". These kinds of posts create a bad feeling, and when people reply to them it creates even more bad feelings. We lost some of my favorite members last year because of it, and I ended up writing the "Fair Feedback" thread to help people see the problem. So.... I personally apologize if there was any sarcasm in my earlier post that was MEANT to lighten up a situation that I thought could become volatile. I'm determined to stay away from negativity here from now on. | 2010-04-06 19:08:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
You know.... based on a lot of the recent negativity we're probably all on edge, and when someone comes in and tries to be helpful maybe they're head is getting bit off unnecessarily. I still think the "Hmmm... I'm not quite sure this is your best level, poms." sounds negative for no reason, and could have been totally eliminated, and the "Stick to fewer materials so I'm not as distracted - it helps for your rating." sounded harsh. The fact that a bunch of us took it in a negative way means it probably could have been presented better. But, I see your point. | 2010-04-06 19:40:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Wanted to provide the feedback that I played the level and loved it. (I did throw up in my mouth a bit at the beginning...) I still think Spice & Co is my favorite from you (and from anyone!!!!), but the teleporters were a cool gameplay element. I do find it interesting to watch which levels survive the rating system with all five stars intact and enjoy trying to analyze exactly why it happened. Any guesses for this level? Was it the fact that the angry 12 year-olds can complete it relatively easily, or was it the toilet? Great level though. You're one of the main reasons I keep coming back to this game. | 2010-04-07 03:05:00 Author: Sickivionkey Posts: 70 |
First of all, you made it look like I did something horribly wrong, and everyone here who reads your comment will also think I'm the bad guy, when I didn't actually do anything wrong, and I don't like that. Sorry anpostteller, it wasn't my intention to make it look like something horrible. I just said it disappointed me that you got mixed in that. Rexx123 had basically said that it was overrated and all the people saying it was "incredible" and "without a doubt the best level in lbp" were just looking for attention from a famous LBP creator. Someone else then said "What are you babbling on about Rexx123, I couldn't care less what your petty vendetta against poms is about" That annoyed me because it seems that anyone who dislikes the level doesn't have a valid opinion and is foolish, (...) Well, that Rexx123 guy didn't mention anything about overrating, he didn't even talk about LPB or the BUNKER 2. His message was totally out of place, and totally crazy, and directed to me. He said things like "I know the secret of poms' magic skills, they are making of him the LBP American idol", "There are better levels than this"(This one is a classic) or "Come on guys, bring your hate comments!” I was astonished when I read it, and ThePlacidCasual's post deserved nothing but my applause... but you called him ******* and tried to justify that jerk's post giving it a logical sense, like the "overrated thing". (...) which is extremely disheartening and yet another factor that's making me give up creating... We all have bad days, and bad moments. Imagine how I felt when I read your post, or another person from this forum who posted to remind me that BUNKER 2 was "mediocre". Is that necessary? There are tons of mediocre levels around there! But I'd never post anywhere to hurt a creator's feelings with posts like "This level is mediocre". Anyway... I thought all of this was forgotten. As I said before, that's OK, and I love you anyway anposteller! What we need is to play together more often, forget about this silly thing... and again, sorry if I made it look like you were the "bad of the film". I'd like to say also, that CCubbage's humor is the best of the forum. And his posts always have some big true, or something interesting to read. I feel sorry that he's been crucified for an irony post, where his author didn't even get offended. CCubbage said "sorry", and I said "sorry" too... just in case. So... let's not talk about it any longer. | 2010-04-07 13:07:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

Wow, seriously, I cannot believe the amount of bad comments I've read, especially the ones which have been mentioned above. I think that people should actually appreciate the fact that Poms even made a second part of the Bunker to be quite honest, as he mentioned in the level description on this thread he said it was either now or never. Yes, I know lots and lots of you out there think Poms is overrated but he's just simply a DreamCreator as I would call it, bringing new ideas into the LBP community and not just using the same old boring ones and one great name helps I would say the original bunker is pretty hard to work off from to making a second part without repeating anything but i would defiantly put 2 together for which it overall came out as. Poms has told me that he doesn't just Create on the spot and makes it up as he goes along, he actually plans out, researches then develops the level as this would be quite hard for some people. | 2010-04-07 18:10:00 Author: XXGrEEn0Xx Posts: 75 |
You know..... it just occurred to me. We could make everyone happy at once. Here's what we need to do: For the final boss, I'll donate my Tiger Woods swing mechanic logic. Instead of shooting the final boss, the player will be required to perform a golf swing and hit the boss with fiery golf balls. This way there is, in fact, golf balls in the level and you're doing more than just shooting bombs on the final boss. Yep... shame some of the posts are quite off topic... and makes me wonder why to create sometimes... but that's ok, it's always been like this. I'm very happy with the level and the feedbacks in general. Thank you all! | 2010-04-11 18:07:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

What's up poms? After Spice&CO you havent made anything so special. Are you workin' on something good and new now? Hi there! Well, after Spice & CO I made The Bunker 2, which is special, good and new! | 2010-04-14 19:13:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
Great level! The teleporters were awesome, first time I've seen one like that before! The boss was good, and I liked how it was a bigger version of the ones in the rest of the level. 5/5 from me! | 2010-04-14 23:28:00 Author: Phosphorus15 Posts: 463 |

Alrighty Well first of all let me say.... from reading all this....wow lol, some of you really gotta learn a simple rule. "Don't hate, appreciate!" Poms is one of the best creators I know and not because of his levels. NO! Anyone can make a good level if they try. He's a good creator because hes not a mean type of guy like all the celeberties who act all nice but they are really crappy people when you get to know them. My point is, Poms is a really nice guy so if you don't like the level, don't say anything that won't help the level get better. The only thing that causes is drama. Yes we all love a little conflict but come on.....this is a F-U-N game.....and its also F-R-I-E-N-D-L-Y game too. There is a lot of nice people here and please don't get me wrong by saying this but with such a big community this site has, there are some who say negative things and slam other creators just for the fun of it. You guys need to stop that and take notes from all the cool and nice people you are around. -------------------------------------------- Now for the feedback I played this level twice very good level and nice replay value......not so long and it makes you want to play it again. The first one had the problem where it took a bit longer and you had this feeling where I told myself "Nahhh I don't want to play it again" This level is really more improved. The teleporters were very smooth and it was creative . The lighting was nice and I really don't see the problem with "sunlight" it's illogical to some....but an alive sackboy isn't? Teleporters aren't? If this level was realistic I'd go to my pod and go play something else. This isn't supposed to be realistic and it certainly doesn't say anywhere that a level had to make "realistic" levels. The balance between the two was great. One thing I'd like to say though was that as nice as the idea of teleporters was. Wasn't really necessary (Though it was a lot of fun haha) but great level overall! | 2010-04-20 02:09:00 Author: Flare Skull Posts: 216 |
Thanks Flare Skull for your kind words to my person (I'm a bit embarassed ) When I started to work on the teleporters, I still didn't know if I was going to make The Bunker 2 or any other themed level including them. I thought ther were cool, and my first idea was a level called "The Doors". I agree they weren't really necesary, but what a boring thing to make a sequel of The Bunker and not including any new game play feature. I could have used lifts, or grabbing sponges instead of them, but then the level would probably have been "mediocre" as someone suggested. The teleporters are the "wow" factor in this levels, as the barrel mechanics are in Spice & CO. Glad you liked the level dude, and thanks again for your comments | 2010-04-20 09:14:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
Well finally after reading some of your comments I finally realized the main idea of level. I thaught first time that this was something that should replace your classic: The Bunker. Now I realize that this level wasn't about that. It was whole different level and I didn't get much out of it because comparing it to The Bunker all the time. It's just a level built on the same theme. Well I quess that I was wrong while saying this is not new and special. It's actually more than that! I'm looking forward to your next level! | 2010-04-29 21:12:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |
