HELP!!!! I'm Under Attack!!!
Archive: 27 posts
Hidy Ho Sackfriends! While I was in Hong Kong last weekend I had the huge pleasure of having Now and Then banned for the 3rd time. I actually didn't think too much of it, because it's already been banned and Cambridge was so good at sorting it out last time that I figured it would be back up by now. Well, I woke up in the morning, hoping to find that all was well, and instead LOST AT SEA IS BANNED AS WELL!?!? What is going on? Is Sony just banning every level that gets griefed now? I was confident that nothing was ever wrong with Now and Then, but I am even more confident that nothing is wrong with Lost at Sea. On a side note: Remember that Cambridge has nothing to do with this craziness, and this is not their fault at all. Sony is in charge of the ban monster. I just wanted to point that out since Cambridge has been EXCELLENT about sorting things out in the past, so they certainly shouldn't be blamed for this :-) So how is everyone else's day going | 2010-03-30 03:40:00 Author: amazingflyingpoo Posts: 1515 |
This is goiing out of control. I'm very sorry to hear this happening to you. Especially the fact that these levels had so many hearts and plays. Don't you hate it when you gain a lot of hearts, but then you end up losing them all? I don't know how to help out, but I'm very sorry this happened in the first place. I liked Lost at Sea. I don't get it. Why would someone ban it or for what reason would they ban you for? I'm sorry that this has happened again, and I hope things get sorted out. | 2010-03-30 03:57:00 Author: Spark151 Posts: 801 |
Well, there is good news :-) I don't think that I will lose the hearts and plays. Both times that Now and Then was unbanned I didn't lose my data. BTW, I've already gotten the ball rolling for getting the right people notified, so hopefully this will be sorted out soon :-) | 2010-03-30 04:02:00 Author: amazingflyingpoo Posts: 1515 |
Okay, that's great, I didn't want to see you lose those hearts and plays. | 2010-03-30 04:06:00 Author: Spark151 Posts: 801 |
I just had the pleasure of playing Lost at Sea today before it was banned (lucky for me), and there's nothing wrong with it. I don't know why your levels are being banned, but it's unfair and unjust. | 2010-03-30 04:19:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
I believe it's just some kid who hates good levels... and abnormally, yet amazing, flying poo. | 2010-03-30 04:23:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
i swear to god......... | 2010-03-30 05:27:00 Author: Lilman1101 Posts: 91 |
It's sad to hear that. Your levels are epic, a must-play for every LBP PSP player. I hope you sort this out soon... | 2010-03-30 17:03:00 Author: Lleonard Pler Posts: 277 |
Its really sad that thats happening on LBP now. That has also been a problem on the game Spore. Many of the best creators have had to re-upload at least half of there 100s of creations. It's just people who are jealous. | 2010-03-30 19:54:00 Author: masterlemons Posts: 85 |
wow... there must be one big ***hole out there... now if we only knew who moderated it so we could get them banned... oh and btw, i have been playing hg and ss, which is why i have been absent as of late! | 2010-03-30 20:54:00 Author: theswweet Posts: 2468 |
I'm not even really sure there's any jealousy involved. Knowing what I know about teh internets, I think they're just doing it for the lulz. "Lolz, dis guy iz popular, ima good grief iz level!!11! ROFLCOPTER!" | 2010-03-30 20:58:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
It's probably some kid who couldn't figure out the puzzles(even though there are barely any) | 2010-03-30 22:51:00 Author: Silver39 Posts: 1703 |
I really have no idea what the heck is up with all this. Poo, you really do have the patience of a saint. The only thing I can think of is that somehow, somewhere, the "poo" part of your PSN is being translated into a less socially acceptable synonym in a different language. Don't worry, I'm sure it will be my turn eventually. | 2010-03-30 23:26:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
Thanks for all the kind words guys! I can't believe how great everyone is on this site :-) I have great news (at least for me )! Both Now and Then and Lost at Sea where back up on the Community Moon when I woke up this morning! Thanks so much for the support everyone! BTW, it's great to have you back thessweet | 2010-03-31 00:57:00 Author: amazingflyingpoo Posts: 1515 |
Woo! LBPC sends the Ban Monster crawling back to its hellish layer again... until next time. | 2010-03-31 01:06:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
Yay!! Time to go re-download them and give you a few extra plays on each. | 2010-03-31 01:18:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
I wish they were copyable so I could copy them to my moon. That way I could play them even if they were banned. But then again, they're such high caliber levels, I'm positive someone would take credit for them then. | 2010-03-31 02:36:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
Ban monster: MUST BAN GOOD LEVELS!!!! | 2010-03-31 06:49:00 Author: Lilman1101 Posts: 91 |
I find it funny how there are so many scorpion and glockenpop infested levels out there, and they always choose to ban yours! | 2010-03-31 13:16:00 Author: Fastbro Posts: 1277 |
I hate Glokenpop! Why do people like that song, it's like listening to the LBP VERSION OF HANNAH MONATANA (Although I enjoy here voice.... SIKE!!!!) And for those scorpians, I've noticed, why do people put so many in one level, they're annoying! Dam, why does this game point towards many children creators. | 2010-04-01 03:45:00 Author: Spark151 Posts: 801 |
It's really about sticker use. You see, "Lost at Sea" and "Now and Then" both used letter stickers arounf the levels. Someone can just go on their popit and spell something that Cambridge would believe the auhtor made. To be more specific, the Good Grief form takes a snapshot of the level (really Cambridge? I mean, can't we have that snapshot option, now?) and it's sent to Cambridge for inspection. So someone can spell out "SONY SUCKS ****!" in the level, then submitted to Cambridge for them to ban the level. So the lesson here: avoid using too many Letter stickers. | 2010-04-02 00:22:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

Even if the creator has no letter stickers at all, the player could still place letter stickers as long as there's a surface area large enough to fit them. | 2010-04-02 00:36:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
Not really. When playing a level, the level won't let you access all your stickers. Instead, it let's you access the stickers the Creator used (which is sometimes helpful for those who want to know what the stickers were and detail observations). So, players can't use letter stickers unless the Creator himself/herself used them in the level at least once. | 2010-04-02 02:04:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Hmmm.... Thanks for that bit of info Cyber! I had never thought of that! From what Cambridge has says, when someone take a shot, it will specify if the sticker was placed by the author of the level or by the person who is playing the level, but if they are just re-arranging the stickers then maybe it would show up as the author to the person who is moderating..... Hmmmmm.... I might just not use the big sticker intro on my next level.... | 2010-04-02 02:48:00 Author: amazingflyingpoo Posts: 1515 |
awwwww, i like your intros | 2010-04-02 03:28:00 Author: Lilman1101 Posts: 91 |
Ya me too! Maybe if you can make the letters out of material or something. Stupid kids and they're intro hating minds! | 2010-04-02 06:09:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
I believe it's just some kid who hates good levels... and abnormally, yet amazing, flying poo. I think that kid is jealous or somethin. It got banned again? Lost at sea was the first LBPC level i ever played. Well lets hope that kid wont ban more of your levels. | 2010-11-20 08:40:00 Author: Unknown User |
