PS3 users can expect to see additional games bringing Trophies support to their feature sets through 2008 and beyond, providing even greater opportunity to showcase their accomplishments and compete with friends. The following first-party games are also slated to offer Trophy support: BUZZ! Quiz TV LittleBigPlanet MotorStorm Pacific Rift NBA 09 - PS3 PAIN PixelJunk Eden Resistance 2 SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation Warhawk also our friend list has been doubled to 100... in 2.4 | 2008-07-01 10:16:00 Author: Reshin Posts: 1081 |
Nice didn't know that they are making our friend list bigger! | 2008-07-01 16:25:00 Author: OverWork Posts: 873 |
wonder how its gonna be used. | 2008-07-03 05:16:00 Author: Jack Posts: 999 |
2.4 is pretty bland, you see the trophies menu, you click the game, you see what you unlocked and what is locked.... voila... and the new gamer card system is pretty weak... you see the recent trophies you got on top and the level at the bottom.... thats it.... and the worst part in in-game xmb lags, and the worst worst part is that the xmb music playing is a feature not a seperate thing, developers can decide not to let it be used in their game (MGS4 doesn't support the xmb music playing in-game) | 2008-07-04 02:33:00 Author: Reshin Posts: 1081 |

Well I'm grateful for this update and I'm sure we'll be seeing games with abit more interactivity in the future. | 2008-07-04 14:23:00 Author: Maltay Posts: 2073 |
2.4 will start to get a little more use further down the road. Devs don't want to go back and patch old games, but almost every game from here on out will have in-game music, trophies, etc. | 2008-07-04 20:49:00 Author: bbroman Posts: 1374 |

I'd have a lot of trouble believing devs wouldn't use this to its fullest extent. It's a pretty major selling point. If I have a choice between two games that I like about the same, I'm definitely picking the one w/ trophies. Most people will probably go through a similar process. There's no way devs would pass up those sales. | 2008-07-05 03:31:00 Author: bbroman Posts: 1374 |
Oh, and as for how they'll use it, here's an interview with Mm's David Smith: will. asks: Now that we have Trophies on the PS3 what sort of wacky tasks can we expect to be tearing our hair out over? Personally, I'm looking out for 'Rocket sack - launch your sackboy into the heavens!' David Smith: We've been having a lot of fun working out what trophies most fit our game. Because we have this catchphrase of 'Play, Create, Share', the trophies (and indeed some of the other scoring systems) reflect this. One of the trophies is close to what you've suggested - for somehow making your sackperson be thrown at some huge velocity. You'll probably need to make a machine using the create tools. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=164853 | 2008-07-05 03:35:00 Author: bbroman Posts: 1374 |

or they could make the so called "huge velocity" something unachievable by catapult.... maybe some rube-goldberg type of thing where your sackboy is fling from one device to another, now that will be fun to make (if not frustraiting when your sackboy misses the mark...) | 2008-07-06 11:14:00 Author: Reshin Posts: 1081 |

I foresee hours of frustration I don't think so; one of Mm's main goals throughout this entire thing has been to keep frustration down. Even if there's a challenge, they want to make it seem fun. I don't think they'd change all that just for trophies. Hard doesn't always mean frustrating. | 2008-07-07 02:20:00 Author: bbroman Posts: 1374 |

Super stardust HD is the only game with trophies and alot of people are having trouble with them, not me though. We're gonna have to wait and see, for the trophies. | 2008-07-07 04:00:00 Author: Jack Posts: 999 |

Trophies are nice for this game and i'm excited that they're there in the game but this game would still be amazing even without the trophies. | 2008-07-28 21:55:00 Author: Frank-the-Bunny Posts: 1246 |
