Nothing: A Story of Creation and Doom

Archive: 10 posts

On ROBLOX, I made a story. And it grew crazily popular. It also got deleted and I had to remake the whole thing 8D! But anyways, I have decided to make a story with a LBP twist similar to that story. Mostly because I had fun making it.

INTRODUCTION

At first, there was Nothing. Pure darkness. Not one single light could be seen on your left, your right, or in any direction. This was how the universe began. But over time, something stranged appeared. An orb of pure light. It was small, and Nothing welcomed it, for Nothing had been lonely for quite some time. But then it began to grow and started to consume more and more of Nothing. Nothing panicked, and attacked the light. Eventually, Nothing won and the light vanished.
For billions of years Nothing was afraid that the light would return. And eventually, it did. But this time it was prepared. It appeared in a huge explosion and destroyed much of Nothing. The light grew and grew, pushing Nothing back. And eventually, it did. However Light felt pity on Nothing, and left it as the size of an atom. Then Light went to work.
In the center of the explosion was a small unexplainable shape of dark matter, the first creation ever. Light work on it and it grew and grew. It began to take shape and change into colors, and grow bigger. Eventually, Light put a spell on it. The spell of imagination. This, was the first planet. The Orb of Dreamers.

CHAPTER 1

But Light was far from finished. It used the Orb to fuel its dreams and hopes. It created billions of planets, stars, asteroids, and all sorts of bibs and bobs and formed them into the first galaxy. Then, Light copied the galaxy to make a second. Light smiled at its work, and then got busy. It created even more galaxies, planets, stars, and bits and bobs to finally form The Universe. Light looked upon its work, and suddenly felt sad. There was nothing to do with all this except to look pretty. So Light decided there should be life.
It moved to the small planet of Spaff, and looked around.
"This will not do.", Light's voice boomed. "I need a more habitable planet.".
So Light searched throughout the universe but found no planet could hold life. Except for one.
Right when Light was about to give up and destroy the whole universe, there came a glow. Shocked, Light investigated. It found a planet, not to little and not to big. Trees were everywhere and rivers flourished.
"This", Light said, "Is a planet worthy of LIFE!".

CHAPTER 2

Light thought of what should live on this planet. Should it walk or fly? Fight or hide? Huge or small? Light couldn't think of it. But then an idea beamed on it.
"Why not make the life itself do the work?".
Life gathered many materials throughout the galaxies. A brown thread, a white cloud, black rocks, and a smile that inspire generations. Light put it all together to form the first ever life. It was called, Sackboy.
Light inspected it work, and Sackboy was afraid of Light, and of everything around him, for Sackboy did not know his purpose. His life. Anything.
"I will teach you.", Light concluded, "To make many generations of yourself.". And thus, he did. Ot told Sackboy everything about creation, living, loving, caring, and the meaning of life. Light also taught Sackboy about evil and Nothing. The word of Nothing caused Sackboy's first ever emotion. Anger.
At his angry face, Light was pleased.
"I have taught you well young Sack. I give you a headstart, and be off." Light said. But Sackboy was sad.
"Why must you go? It is cheery and happy here, and you are my only friend!", Sackboy cried.
"Do not worry.", Light said. "I will create more of you.".
Light created three more Sackboys and four Sackgirls and then left. They all looked at wonder as the orb of light seemed to fade away, but grow more opaque as well. Then, when it finally dissapeared, Sackboy taught his new friends the wonders of life and creation, but he forgot to mention Nothing.

CHAPTER 3

Eventually, Sackboy died. But he lefet many children, as did his companions. Life flourished. Cities were built, imagination used. The planet started as a huge forest, but soon turned into a huge amusement park. Everywhere you went there were amazing creations, from heightless statues to ferocious snakes. Everyone was happy. Except for Nothing.
He had heard about the existence of LittleBigPlanet from his sworn enemy, Light. Light always bragged about it to Nothing and told it how it should've created something as amazing as the Sackpeople. This angered Nothing, so an evil plan came to its mind. A plan more evil than all the villians in the creations of LittleBigPlanet combined. it would destroy LittleBigPlanet. But he couldn't do it, for it was just the size of an atom. So for a thousand years it pondered what to do about the Sackpeople. Then, it knew. It would use a Sackperson!
So Nothing spend a million years searching for the people made of sack, but never found them. But then one day, as he decided Light must have destroyed the planet, it found it. Glowing in the middle of a small solar system. You could hear the laughter and joy even from the planet's moon. This angered Nothing, so he paid the planet a visit.
Like Light said, life was everywhere. Imagination was key, and no-one was sad. Politics was fun, and diseases were few and none deadly. This also angered Nothing. So, he went to a small house from everywhere else.
The house had a small family of three. A mother, a father, and a child of three years. They seemed to be the happiest of all, and thus they disgusted Nothing the most. But then Nothing found something interesting. Locked away in the child's mind, something that had to be unlocked by something as evil as Nothing, it found pure evil.
"This child, shall crush this puny planet!", Nothing chuckled to himself. "I shall make the family think that I am the hideous and foul Light, and convince them to sacrifice their child to me."

The mother was cleaning the dishes and the father was playing with the child, when a voice boomed through their doors and ears.
"It is I, the creator, Light!", the voice seemed to shout with distaste. "I require a hero to help me, and your son is the perfect Sackboy for the job!"
The child, curious, walked outside. And Nothing smiled.
The father ran to rescue his son, but a wind threw him back. The mother shrieked and also tried to get her son back, but another wind came and threw her into her husband.

"You fools, it is not Light, but I, Nothing! Your son shall destroy this planet. You have made a most unwise choice!", Nothing laughed. There was a white flash and the son dissapeared. The mother cried and the father spent a day and a half searching. But they never saw their son again. No-one did. However when he reappeared they would all be long dead.

Awwww, the story is really sweet, I like it! The way you put the creation of galaxy is actually very close to one of my earlier thoughts on how universe was formed, when I was 12-13 only that Nothing created the light because he was so lonely. Something like that. Good job!

Just a minor spelling mistake, maybe, but in the second chapter it stands in this sentence:

...Light expected it work...

I suppose it is it's and not it? Tell me if I am wrong.

It found a planet, not to little and not to big. Trees were everywhere and rivers flourished.
"This", Light said, "Is a planet worthy of LIFE!".

Trees are alive, and you mention that they exist before life itself does.

But other than that, a very imaginative and well-written story. Nice one.
