Buying things from the Store.

Archive: 12 posts

Hey Everyone.

Say ive got 2 munnies on the PSN store, and I decide to buy something for 1.32 munnies. Would That just subtract the price of the item from the amount I already have in my wallet Leaving me with 0.68?

I know it sounds a bit stupid but I was wondering if the PSN store would randomly take 5 munnies out of the bank cause its like that.

Yep!

If you had ?10 in your PSN wallet and you spend ?4 of that on something, you'll have ?6 left in your wallet. There aren't any separate transaction fees or anything.

Any funds you add to your wallet can't be refunded, and you can only add funds in round numbers like ?5, ?10, ?20, etc.

Actually, I think if you buy something directly from the psn store (not an in-game store), and you need to add funds to have enough for the purchase, it'll take exactly what you need from your credit card. Say you have $0.68 and you're buying something for $1.99, it'll take $1.31 from your credit card. I know it didn't always work that way, but a few months ago it stopped asking me how much I wanted to add to my wallet when I didn't have enough, and I noticed there was no change left in my wallet afterward.2010-03-29 11:43:00

Hmmm, I live in the Uk and the store only allows you to put on money in ?5 increments like Ayneh said. Its probably different in other countries though and whatnot.2010-03-29 16:14:00

You can set the wallet to charge itself automatically when you need funds. I believe it does it in 5 dollar increments. otherwise, i don't think that the psn will just say you have insufficient funds if you can't pay for your purchase, i think.2010-03-29 17:15:00
