What kind of stuff do i need to do to level up from Lint ? (gain the green bars)

Well, the title you have (lint, thread, etc) is based on number of posts. To get green bars, people need to press the thanks button that is under every post. So in general, if you post a bunch and for the most part it is on topic and helpful, you will get both higher ranks of titles and more green bars. Edit: Notice the thanks below each of our posts, that means you just gained rep! On an off topic side note, I just noticed I reached two bars!

You can also use the star button at the bottom of each post to add more reputation than with a simple "thanks" button when appropriate. Actually, with this button more the people have rep themselfs, more you will gain exp when they will press the star. And btw, you can see who gave you rep and why in the settingh option at the up of the site page. But warning not to abuse this system of rep, the site administrators and moderators really don't like this, and we can easily understand that
