It is used to jump over the wall to the right.

EDIT: I fixed it so that you can't just jump over it.

That's weird... I can see them perfectly, and the they even being stored on this site so I don't know what the problem could be. 2010-03-28 17:46:00

Just playing through it now and so far its pretty good. The story is a little different and the visuals and platfroming are done quite well.
I think that maybe a few of the camera angles could be tweaked a little. Most notably and the area where you use the red cube to get over the wall. The camera was moving around quite a bit which made it a little awkward.
Also the story kind of drifted off to wards the end.

4 Stars

Well the story is continued in the next chapter (probably will be finished after my next two planned levels unless one of them is dropped) and I didn't really want the boss at the end to start telling you a long story about blah blah blah and how he got there because he is a stupid rock thing... and I wanted the player to invest themselves into the story and try to figure out those missing plot areas
I will also try to get to fixing the camera angles.

I have fixed the camera angle and put a bubble that fell back in it's spot. I have also added some dead trees at the end.2010-03-29 00:46:00

I beat this, and I thought it was a very good start to a series. The story is very intriguing, and you set an eerie, post-apocalyptic tone very successfully. This level gives of a very surreal vibe, and it's caught me. Needless to say, I'm interested in where you take the series. I think that the visuals could be improved somewhat, and I think it would be cool if the oracle wasn't just a square with a circular light inside of it. Again, your level looks pretty cool, but with a bit more care it could ascend into "awesome" territory. On the gameplay side, most of the puzzles were simple but offered some enjoyment and the boss was really creepy and original, but the one reason I really liked this level was that the story interested me.

Good job on this. I have it 4 stars and a heart. I'm interested as to where you're taking this series.

When you get the time, could you play my level, Waffleworld Prologue?

I may end up making the oracle a different design (I did have a concept sketch I have yet to upload of a different oracle with crescents on the sides and 4 wired lights. I think I just got so used to the beta oracle that I have grown to love it's simple design.) and do you have any ideas or tips on how to improve my visuals for this level to make them more appealing to the masses of lbpc? I may also end up making the first puzzle a bit more laboring to solve . The next level though ,as I said before in my first post, will begin production once I finish my two small projects.

Edit: I'm surprised no one has mentioned anything about it's length (I think it is pretty short) and it only uses little over half the thermo  .
I'll probably get to playing your level tomorrow and search for the buggiest and glitchiest flaws I can find

P.S. did anyone find the secret secret in the level? It contains about a thousand points worth of score bubbles and the weighted storage cube...

Perhaps you could add some lighting or maybe even a simple Color Correction change could do it. It looks great, it just has room to improve is what I'm getting at. Check out Deftmute's Lost Ages levels if you haven't already. I think you guys have a somewhat similar tone in your levels, though yours is more bleak. Your level looks great, the rest of the series could be the same quality as the first one and they'd still be great, but you can always add more detail.

And no, I haven't found the secret secret in this level (lol) but now I'm interested...

I have improved the level based on awesomemans feedback and things I have noticed.

1. Made the bricks look much more like bricks
2. Added crescents to the oracle's side to make him more interesting to look at.
3. Various scenery touch-ups and add-ons.
4. I have color corrected the level making things look more dusty.

I hope you enjoy these updates and don't forget to leave feedback !

I think I found the screen-shot problem. I had them in a private folder on this site. I noticed I couldn't see them when I was logged out. I made the folder public and I logged out to see if I could see them and I saw the screen-shots. I just thought I should update on this because they are pretty important for getting people to play a level.2010-04-08 11:53:00

Ok, my thoughts:

Initially, wow, a beautiful world you've contructed here. Windmill caught my eye especially, good detail. Over all I felt you had a nicely put together level with a cool atmosphere of being in a mystical place. Boss fight was unique, and though I thought that the tip given ruined it at first, you're proably right that most would get stuck without it, including myself.

Check out my level "A Realm Forgotten" if you get a chance, and leave a comment on my page, Thanks!

Okay, I played the level and here's what I thought. The story was awesome, I really liked it but it was pretty short. I did like the boss battle and thought it was pretty fun. I also thought the ship crashing cutscene was fantastic as well. Great job. Not a ton of detail but still a good bit. I gave it :star::star::star::star:.2010-07-29 17:36:00

Thanks for the feedback. I may revisit this level in LBP2 to give it a few touch-ups. I'm just so out of LBP's create mode because It seems like nothing compared to LBP2...2010-07-29 18:21:00
