Trapped

Ohh no.. sack-boy is lost, even better he is trapped. Try fighting the old factory guy, and try escaping the weird place you are. This level is full of platforms and somme puzzles. There is also a very simple boss. I want to thank killzonequinn for helping me in some stuff. The total time this level took me was 18 hours 32 min. Enjoy!!! published now! | 2010-03-26 20:00:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
As a tester I thoroughly enjoyed the level and wish to see more! As I have said, the earlier part of the level is a little rough, but overall a good job. My favourite of yours by a mile! | 2010-03-26 20:04:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |

Looks good Ferrrch I'll play it when i go on later. I'll leave you some feedback tomorrow. | 2010-03-26 20:11:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
You see the two red buttons near the start... change those to two way switches and have the piece of fire become an non-lethal wall instead. I kept burning myself there. | 2010-03-26 20:11:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
ohh yeah i remember but one of the red switches cant change because there is a bolt so you know... but ill do that thanks! | 2010-03-26 20:14:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |

I looked at this thread earlier but didn't read it properly and went off looking for it. I was going to post about not finding it but then read the first post. The pictures look good. I'll give it a go later. | 2010-03-26 21:10:00 Author: SneakySteve1983 Posts: 121 |

ohh thanks but in soo angry its with 3* apparently because its too hard for noobs. | 2010-03-27 01:00:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
Well done on this level, ferrrch. It really does look like a jackofcourse level, graphics-wise. There was only one real gripe I had with it, and it was the fact that some of the pistons and winches aren't very consistent. One minute they are visible, the next they aren't. Overall, a brilliant level, 4 stars and a heart. | 2010-03-27 16:27:00 Author: FlipMeister Posts: 631 |

Thanks i hope you like it. And please remember to give me some feedback after playing it. | 2010-03-27 17:23:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
Its a really fun to play with good visuals. I liked the character and story you added to keep a sense of purpose to the level rather than just random gameplay. Maybe you could hide the gas teleport by blacking out the screen so you dont see outside of the play area. Great level, well done :arg:. | 2010-03-27 17:55:00 Author: SteveBigGuns Posts: 423 |
Thanks steve ill try doing that now | 2010-03-27 18:08:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
Great level ferch. I liked the design. The materials you used worked very well together, even the basic metal looked good in that setting. It had some fun gameplay. It's diificult to do much different nowadays with regards to pull a switch and open up a path because it's practically all been done but you managed to make it interesting anyway. There are some tricky parts but nothing overly difficult. If I can finish it anyone can ! I only had a few negatives such as magic mouths being placed in bad positions where they stopped you moving at inconvenient times and not knowing what the switches had actually done but I got your message earlier saying you'd already fixed those so I guess all is good now. I'll play it again sometime just to make sure and report back if I find anything. I don't have any new levels requiring F4F yet but I'm working on one which hopefully should be published around April 10th if I manage to finish it so if you could do that when it's out that would be great. | 2010-03-27 19:19:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
Thanks man, and as i told you i just fixed all those problems. | 2010-03-27 19:31:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
I played this yesterday and thought it was really good! I love the different types of challenges, some were really clever and i haven't seen them done before . i liked the way you had a character in the level as well, that was cool. Keep up the good work ferr, your good at making levels like this. 5 stars and hearted | 2010-03-27 19:40:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
Well done ferrrch this is a great level I wouldnt have thought those materials would work well together but you pulled it off. Nicely designed, good gameplay and great use of all three layers. Some parts were a bit challenging but thats not a complaint, i like challenges. Too bad its 3 stars though, it deserves a better rating than that. Keep up the good work | 2010-03-27 19:56:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
Thanks a lot! but its obvious why it has 3* its too hard for noobs lol | 2010-03-27 20:24:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
Epic level. The only issues I noticed were the visible LED lights in the signs, and the stickered wood is really distracting because it constrasts from everything else. Also, at the part with the switch enabled platforms, whenever I would try to pull a switch, I would die because the metal was too thin. Almost everything else was perfect. | 2010-03-27 21:00:00 Author: Arkei Posts: 1432 |
hey Ferrch, my opinion is the same as quinns the earlier part of the level is a little rough the design at the beginning is a bit unclean and too much, the simple design later is good. gameplay was good and not too hard its not the hardness why it has only 3 stars i think its because there are some parts in the level where you dont direct know what to do or where to go so people quit, the same happened to me with my level bouncie kingdom, only ~5k of the ~26k players who viewed it have made it to the end, so they rate low (1 star) if they have to quit -_- MM should let only the players vote who finished the whole level. Yep, back to your level - it was quite enjoyable and it deserves 4 stars! | 2010-03-27 21:17:00 Author: Chicoleunis Posts: 123 |
Hey, I just played it, it was a lot of fun. I really loved the character, and I was glad it was nice and challenging. The visuals were good, and so was the gameplay. I didn't encounter any glitches in the level, which is always a good thing. :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart | 2010-03-27 22:08:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |
Fantastic level. Really great leveldesign, with excellent flow: you quickly see where you have to go and do. I didn't find it to difficult, except maybe the part with the big turning wheels and the spikes; I died there a whole bunch of times, before finally making it across. Loved the visuals, great details in the background. One small remark: The ceiling-spikes in the beginning where I bit hard to spot. Overall: great level, big fun. If you have the time for 4F4, I've just published my third level 'Lost Shrine of the Bunraku Monks'. | 2010-03-28 08:57:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Pro - I like the industrial visuals and platforming. Con - The music choice was poor and needs better lighting. Overall - :star: :star: :star: :star: and a heart! | 2010-03-28 15:38:00 Author: AbstractFlesh Posts: 837 |

ok thanks i will be waiting. | 2010-03-28 21:27:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
Ferrrch no need to keep posting so much. Bumping too much isn't really fair on the other levels. | 2010-03-28 21:43:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
I really enjoyed this one. It's a platformer at heart, which I love, because it just makes it a blast to play through. Your visuals are very good too, but I think you could really set it off with some lighting. All around though this is a really great level. Great work! Could you try out my LBP Paint Factory. Thanks. | 2010-03-29 01:09:00 Author: smasher Posts: 641 |
I just played this level again, and here is my feedback. VISUALS I felt that the visuals were good at points, but felt somewhat mediocre. It felt messy at the beginning and bland throughout the level. This can be solved by adding lighting and some stickers so it shouldn't be too time consuming. Character design was good however. GAMEPLAY The gameplay was alright, however, if you're wondering why it got three stars, it's probably because the level is frustrating and annoying at points, not because it was hard. For example, the wheels. The gameplay isn't very original or innovative either, and felt unpolished at points, but It was fun when it counted; The boss was pretty fun. ISSUES There were some plane shifting issues and some of the sections felt unpolished. It was also bland throughout the level. Overall I felt the level could be better. Try spruing up the visuals a bit by adding lighting and additional decorations. Gameplay was okay, but next time i'd try for more original gameplay. Pros- -Good use of the corner editor -Fun where it counted -Nice characters and boss Cons- -Unoriginal Gameplay -A bit bland -Annoying at points -Not hard at all 3.5 stars, no heart Tagged Fun | 2010-03-29 21:19:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
wooow who would expect, thanks for that i will try better next time. | 2010-03-29 23:18:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |
First, as a long time game programmer let me say that, you'll never remove all the bugs, have everything looking perfect, or have the game play please everyone. There is always room for improvement. If you say everything is fixed you will assuredly eat your words. Overall, I really liked this level, I thought it was a lot of fun and that's what a level should be. Visually it was quite good. It wasn't too long or too short and it was always full of action or something to do. I didn't find it too be difficult at all. I made my way through it pretty fast. I don't know if that's good or bad but it's just my opinion. I did notice a couple bugs that you may want to fix. Here are some pics so that I can explain better what they were: I noticed that you had a chain here for no reason. I think you meant to have this block attached to it. If not. you may want to delete it. http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk477/j0joe33/ferrrch1.jpg In this image, the 2 way switch can be bumped as you jump into the newly opened space. This can reset the switch and trap your sack-person behind the barbed wire door. I simply self destructed to get out but, I'm sure you don't want this kind of slop in your level. I would suggest a chain on the switch that would hold it in place after it is activated. http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk477/j0joe33/ferrrch2.jpg Like I said, overall I did find this level to be impressive and I really liked it. I give it 4.5/5 stars and a heart which rounds up to 5 stars and a heart. I do feel that there is room for improvement (I'm not talking about the bugs I mentioned), such as layer transitions but, I feel that you have a 5 star level if you'd just spend a little more time on it. As I said at the start of this post, a level is never finished. There is always room for improvement. I tested my F4F level you played, Lexicon, several thousands of times before releasing it. I'm still thinking of ways of improving my next release and I'm sure there are bugs in it that I still haven't found. Keep up the good work. Your an excellent creator. | 2010-03-30 06:00:00 Author: Jomosapien Posts: 24 |
