A Missed Feature of Mine...

Archive: 7 posts

Before the update, you were able to look at your posts in the forums and be able to tell which ones people have posted on since you last posted, and to me it was my most used handy way of stopping by the site to get updated. I don't quite recall the icons but one icon represented one that was read, posted on by yourself, and that new posts have been added since your post. Nowadays I have to spend some time going through all my posts to see if anyones posted since I have, which doesn't normally happen.

I don't think I explained it well. To whoever understood what I just yelled, I love you, and I hope you agree with me on questioning why a simple convenience has to be so taboo.

Yeah.. I think I know what you mean. Have you tried hitting the Settings link? That shows any threads you have subscribed to and sorted by activity. Might not be exactly what you were looking for though.

I usually use the What's New link, but that just gives you everything that has had recent activity.

If I'm understanding correctly, you can still do this - it's called "subscribed threads".

First of all, you need to configure your settings to automatically add threads which you post in, to your subscribed threads, by going to the Forum Settings (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions) page, and changing "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to "Through my control panel only".

Then whenever someone posts a new post to any subscribed thread, it will appear in the Settings (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/usercp.php) and Subscribed Threads (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/subscription.php) pages.

You can also 'watch' threads which you haven't posted in by adding a subscription to that thread by choosing "Subscribe to ths Thread..." from the "Thread Tools" dropdown on any thread page,
