The Strange Adventures of Dr Nocte Chapter 3-A New Bounds Chapter 3-B The Crying SoulDuckywolf http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/ICON0-1.pngFinally comes the third chapter of this saga. accompanies Nocte to its next destination ... Easter Island. But the island itself is a place full of mysteries and dangers. This chapter has been divided into two parts so do not leave out any of the areas planned. Nocte ... you have a clear objective, yet in your path crossed new problems. Not only that, someone used the bubble of space-time at the same time as you. An Egyptian boy who does not understand a single word of what Nocte says. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/Unafoto_112.jpg (http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/?action=view¤t=Unafoto_112.jpg) Indeed ... There is no doubt that this place is familiar to me! http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/Unafoto_113.jpg (http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/?action=view¤t=Unafoto_113.jpg) Best not to approach these bugs, they are cute, but most are likely to be lethal. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/Unafoto_115.jpg (http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/?action=view¤t=Unafoto_115.jpg) One of the elements of this chapter is the slope of the floor and platforms. Probably influenced more appropriate place to jump. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/Unafoto_108.jpg (http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/?action=view¤t=Unafoto_108.jpg) Some of the pieces are damaged. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/Unafoto_109.jpg (http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/?action=view¤t=Unafoto_109.jpg) One moment .... Who is this guy .... and what is all this. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/Unafoto_116.jpg (http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii317/tlalocine/Nocte%203/?action=view¤t=Unafoto_116.jpg) Ok, these stones seem firm ..... well catch up the other side, wait a second .... is leaning? ( Thanks to Morgana25 and comphermc for the help with this stones!!! It was an honor to have your exquisite logic ) Overcomes the difficulties to the real goal of the year 1984 ... and save Noctes son from certain death. Thank you so much for the transparents Stickers by The_Lil_JoKeR!!!! You stickers was a great add to my level! They gave the level a wonderful image. And thanks to JOGEFER.... for all the splash that born in our first creation together. | 2010-03-25 06:56:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |
Finally! I will enjoy this and you seem to have certainly outdone yourself this time. Will Noctre continue through time until 1984? Or will other things happen? Will there be villains? Find out in the next chapter! I am excited. | 2010-03-25 09:48:00 Author: Arctos13 Posts: 258 |
WOW that was a long title name. | 2010-03-25 11:40:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
The level looks fantastic. Cool cutscenes, and great scenery. The action looks very promising, with the moving stone wheels... only I can't get passed the two electrified wheels??? What am I missing? If you could supply a hint, I'll give the level another try (Anxious to know how the story continues!) | 2010-03-25 17:01:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Woah, seems great! Going to play it...ehy wait...i got YLOD. Ok, going to play it when my PS3 will be back | 2010-03-25 17:35:00 Author: Dante95 Posts: 504 |
WOW that was a long title name. XD, But the reason is because this are two levels in one thread. One chapter split in two level. The Stone head got two layers for details and the NPC... i decided to make it this way. | 2010-03-25 18:04:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |

So, theres a way to pass through this section. I will send you a PM. Because i dont wanna spoil the puzzles at this time. But its easier than it looks. LOVED the level. I thought the second was PHEN0MENAL, but the first was still great. Didn't like: 1. Hats on the statue heads. Sorry D: | 2010-03-25 21:03:00 Author: Unknown User |

Just finished part 3B. What a great adventure. The platforming was rather tough in parts, but very rewarding. Scenery looks great, lighting is very good. The giant heads are very well made, as well as the character models. Best part: the giant rotating wheels. Great stuff. Great transistion from underground darkness (with the piercing screams as a reminder of why you are doing this) to the light of the erupting volcano. I found one little glitch: when jumping along the edge of the volcano crater, to the swinging pendulum, you automatically jump to the background (and thus a fiery death). Can't wait for the next episode! If you have the time fot F4F, I've just published my new level: Lost Shrine of the Bunraku Monks. | 2010-03-26 14:05:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
And about the hats.... some statues really have this kind of hats!!! I blame the Easter Islanders then ;D Can't wait for no 4! | 2010-03-26 14:08:00 Author: Unknown User |

Thanks!!!!! To everyone for all your comments. You made me so happy. When someone says " i like your level" or something like that, make me wanna be better and work hard to offer great experiences. I will check the bug in the volcano and try to fix it. Sorry if im not so good to express my ideas. But all i can say is "Thanks for playing and for take time to give me your comments". I really appreciated. | 2010-03-26 22:02:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |
Brilliant! Certainly memorable. The whole thing was very detailed and the moai statues are perfect as they look in real life. Where will Noctre and the Egyptian man go in the next chapter? | 2010-03-27 00:57:00 Author: Arctos13 Posts: 258 |

I try to do it visually the more close to some of the real statues. And i don't want to spoil the surprise. I will only say... Darkness hour is approaching. | 2010-03-27 03:15:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |
Yooop, another great level ! :hero: In fact, two great levels I was first a bit " inquiring " by seeing these two levels didn't really look like what I had played before with your series, but it was, well brilliant ! So clever, I loved the puzzles you made, and the stunning sceneries of course ! It's been a while since I played the first parts for the last time, I should play them again. | 2010-03-27 11:03:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
It looks interesting, I think I'm about to go give these levels a play. | 2010-03-27 16:43:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |

Just a little point. In Part A, in a speech bubble you called them the "Eastern Islands" not Easter Islands. Anyway, great levels! Wonderful fun and beautiful design! Keep it up! | 2010-03-27 19:18:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
I just played it. The Easter Island Heads were cool and also something I've never seen before in a level. The characters were awesome, and the plot was interesting. :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart for each. By the way, I'll make sure to check out the first ones like you said. | 2010-03-27 22:12:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |

Hey, I don't have enough time for detailed feedback right now, but I wanted to point out that when you sleep in the cave overnight, it's very easy to miss the pillar on the right falling down and if you don't see it happen, then there is no way to know how to procede as the camera forces it offscreen. Changing the camera angle here, or controlling it by a switch would greatly improve that section. Yesterday I quit the level because I thought it was broken. I alsmo managed to trigger nighttime again somehow, whilst trying to procede, which is part of the reason I thought it was broken. All in all there is some very interesting platforming / puzzles going on here and great visuals too. I just wanted to point that little issue out to you | 2010-03-29 20:00:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

I just wanted to point that little issue out to you To build on what rtm is saying, instead, when you activate a switch which does something offscreen(moves a platform etc.) a good idea is to make a cutscene magic mouth beside the place where something happens and have it activate when you pull the switch etc. | 2010-03-29 20:05:00 Author: Unknown User |

Hey, just got through the two parts to this level. they were very well done! I thought your use of the 3D glitch was well implemented, and i really liked the platforming in both parts. I liked the consistent use of the heads throughout both levels. It made the levels feel connected. I also thought the volcano erupting in the second part was great! looked awesome. Overall the gameplay was really fun. I found part 1 great, and i thought part 2 was a little frustrating. Overall though good job! Here's a few pieces of constructive criticism. I noticed that throughout your levels there are quite a few buttons you need to push. I think these buttons should indicate what they do. most of them don't even have sound effects attached. I would indicate what happened after you push the button, even if the effect is obvious. that's just my preference, though. In the second part of the level, i found the rotating circles quite frustrating. It was very difficult to pop the chain that was in the center of the rotating circles. Maybe put a platform in the center so that it's a tad easier to hit that one? Later on in this level there's a race too, but the cogs run painfully slowly. I would increase their speed just a notch... then, in the final part, i thought the platforms that slid down the mountain could be a little bigger... just a few suggestions Last suggestion: instead of getting the player to pop themselves to teleport themselves, i think it might be better to use gas. Overall i really liked these two levels. I think i liked part 1's gameplay more, and part 2's visuals more. I gave them both 5 stars, and cant wait to see whats next! thanks! | 2010-03-30 18:40:00 Author: Duffluc Posts: 402 |
Thanks for the suggestions and the feedback Duff. I really appreciated. I'll work on that budy. Im happy because a big % of my visitors have fun in this levels. Only one person says that was horrendous etc. etc. T_T , Jajaja i think that was a matter of taste (people have the right to like the level or not, but that doesn't gives the right to insult others creation. People sometimes don't have the touch. Thats sad). I always accept the criticism because makes me improve my skills and levels. Others just act like gods an think that their levels are the best of community [with a lot of issues], but as persons they are really mistaken. | 2010-03-30 19:53:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |
you'll always get the odd one or two that just blatantly insults your work without any care or thought. I don't know how people can do that since its obvious how much work and effort has gone into your level. There's really no stopping them though, I tend to just do my best to ignore them | 2010-03-30 21:53:00 Author: Duffluc Posts: 402 |
Ok, i already fix the camera problem in the cave-waiting section. Add some platforms in the spinning circles sections and now this spinning circles (chapter 3-B) can be grabbed. Sound buttons inserted. And i keep working to improve everything. Thanks again everybody. | 2010-03-31 16:50:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |

The last days i received a lot of good comments. And mails from people telling me that they love the series. Makes me feel too happy. A great satisfaction to keep making levels. | 2010-04-03 19:27:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |
