I'm beginning work on a level which is meant to have players spend long periods of time in. I want it to have kind of an MMORPG feel in the sense that you're free to go wherever and you can aquire items that stay with you. The point of this level isn't to reach the finish, but to overcome challenges, aquire items, and just explore and play around. The end of the level, however, will be a time trial in which players can use aquired items to get a better time. This means that the leader board will represent a combination of progress and skill. The main interactive feature which will set Scapecraft apart from other levels is the use of a general purpose sticker "cursor" that can be used for things such as selecting a reward, searching for secrets, or even activating a chandelier to drop on an enemy. The theme will be caribbean and the level will be about half water and half land events. The level will support 1-4 players. So now that you know a little about the idea of Scapecraft, what do you think?

Wow, it sounds really cool. The biggest challenge I could see is handling exploration all in one level. I do really like the idea, are you going to use stickers for the items that will help you later on? Or will it activate some kind of switch that will change an obstacle during that last part?

Stickers. Like for example you rescue and repair a broken boat and get an activation sticker for it so next time you wont have to fix it. As far as having enough exploration, I'm just going to have to really limit the different types of materials, stickers, and decorations I use and really optimize the logic. But I still want it to be a very good looking level, so that'll probably be my biggest challenge.
