The concept is simple: Create an original art piece in LBP PSP using nothing but stickers. It should be no surprise to you that I'm crazy for stickers, so I thought I'd spread the joy and see what all of you might come up with. Like any good contest, this one has a theme, and that theme is....... (drumroll please) Pranks or Tanks To mark the coming of April Fools' Day, create a piece of art that represents your sense of humor with a visual joke, a depiction of a prank, or simply a portrait of a fool. Or, if you'd rather take the high road and fly circles around the competition, create a scene centered around transportation. Create a rocket in outer space, a race car tearing up the track, or a warship blowing stuff up. The Prizes Now we get to the good part! The contest winner will receive his or her choice of the following: One FREE premium LBP DLC pack of the winner's choosing.* (This prize option is for NA (US and Canada) region games only. At this time we do not have the ability to send out EU or Asia region codes.) -- OR -- One FREE month of LBPCentral donor status. No ads! Custom title! Bonus forum features! Did you hear me? NO ADS!! Had enough? Well too bad, because there's more. The winner of this contest will also be given the option to be a judge for Round 3 of the next Vincent van Sticker contest. Your friends will be SO jealous! * Premium LBP PSP DLC is defined as any of the available "level" or "theme" packs currently available for download, including The Gardens Level Pack, The Savannah Level Pack, The Wedding Level Pack, The Canyons Level Pack, The Metropolis Level Pack, The Sack That Time Forgot Level Pack, the Lurve Level Pack, or the Easter Level Pack. Any additional DLC of equivalent or lesser value that is made available before the end of the contest may also be chosen as a prize option. The Deadline The deadline for this contest is 11:59pm APRIL 10TH, 2010 Greenwich Mean Time (http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/info/current-time.htm). Your entry must be received BEFORE MIDNIGHT GMT on the 10th or it will be considered late. For shame! The Rules Stickers only! No game-provided objects allowed. No corner edited shapes. All art must be composed exclusively of stickers. All art must be created on a rectangular piece of "basic cardboard" material. It can be any size you like, but it has to be cardboard and it has to be a rectangle. (Yes, a square by definition is a rectangle. Didn't you study in class?) The entire piece of cardboard must be visible on screen at once. This means you cannot cover any part of your artwork with another corner-edited shape. Follow the theme. If your artwork has nothing at all to do with the theme, it will not be considered. You can submit up to two entries per round, although of course you can only win once per round. Participants cannot win twice in a row. This means that if you win this round, you can't win the next one. If you won the last one, you can't win this one. You can still participate of course, but just for fun. Judges may also enter the contest and participate, but just for fun. To enter the contest, simply post a picture in this thread. Having trouble getting a good picture? Taffey can help! Put your art in a level, publish it, and post here - Taffey will take care of the rest. Be sure your art is fully visible by adding an appropriately adjusted camera zone. Read the disclaimer. Yes, we have a disclaimer. Read it I say or I will send a swarm of angry leprechauns after you! The Disclaimer By participating in this contest, you agree that you understand that the judges will make their decisions objectively, fairly, and in an unbiased manner. Finally, by participating you agree that the point of this whole thing, win or lose, is simply to have fun and enjoy yourself. This is, afterall, a video game. I think this kind of contest might help push people outside of their comfort zones a little bit and try something they hadn't thought of before. The real reason I'm doing this, however, is that I just want to see the LBP PSP community grow, learn, and have fun.
