INNER CIRCLETonyTwoGunz This level is made to be fun and is not too difficult, so everybody can enjoy it! I had an idea for a level a while back where everything was basically built inside lots of interconnecting circles. No story, just a fun platforming level. I made the level with only two materials, they seem to work well together in my opinion and i got the look i was going for. Hope you enjoy Thanks to everyone who tested the level for me while i was building it Special thanks to fenderjt for making the logo and playing it about 20 times with me | 2010-03-23 01:18:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
This level is so much fun i dont think i will ever get bored of playing it! Ive played it about 20 times and i think i know it off by heart hehe! The different challenges are sooooo much fun, you will not be left with nothing to do! Tony you are very clever when it comes to different challenges, i am not someone who can come up with clever ideas like you have! I wish i was though as it is good for the people playing the level, they will be thinking "cool, how'd he do that?" lol The whole level design is great, i like the way you have only used two materials. Good choice of materials too! This level is multiplayer friendly too! Always good to have that 5 stars and a heart for you matey! | 2010-03-23 11:18:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
A very impressive level. The whole level design is very good which makes it a fun level. I agree that the two materials work well together. I think that its sometimes better to stick to only a few materials. I was very impressed with how you used all three layers to move the player though the circles. It wasn't too easy or too hard and there weren't any points where I didn't know where I was supposed to be going. Whenever I play through a level that I intend to do a review on I always keep an eye out for things that I think could be improved. I cant think of a single thing. I think I'm going to go and have a look at a few of your other levels. Loved it. 5 Stars and a heart. If you get a moment could you try my level out. Thanks. | 2010-03-23 11:42:00 Author: SneakySteve1983 Posts: 121 |
I looked at this thread simply because it said 'fun and not too difficult' but I think you may be misleading people there. Looking at those thumbnails there are spikes everywhere and it looks very difficult. I'll give it a play though and find out for sure. | 2010-03-23 14:12:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

Brilliant level! The two materials are lovely together. I had a lot of fun playing it. Nothing I saw that I thought needed to be changed, great work! Hearted | 2010-03-23 16:39:00 Author: OneEyedBanshee Posts: 1370 |

The gameplay variety and creativity was excellent. It was fun to play from start to finish. Ill play it next time im in my pod so I can rate 5 and heart this amazing level. | 2010-03-23 18:02:00 Author: SteveBigGuns Posts: 423 |
Thanks for the great comments everybody That was nice to come in from work to see, i really appreciate it. @mistervista Yeah there is a fair few spikes to be honest, but fire, gas or electricity would have looked out of place really @stevo_1983 Sure, i'll give your levels a try next time im on mate | 2010-03-23 19:00:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
I looked for this about 15 minutes ago and it's locked. Either you're working on it or you locked it by accident? | 2010-03-23 20:47:00 Author: Powershifter Posts: 668 |
Awww no, i published it again and it must have had the lock on I'll unlock it in about 10 mins | 2010-03-23 20:55:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
Ok using my best Italian accent: 'Tony, Tony, Tony...thats some pretty good work right there!' Ok I thought this was great! I loev the premise...I usually like a story but yours was perfect just the way it was. I thought the materials worked great to achieve the overall almost serene feeling and atmosphere. I agree with Mrvista that there are a few tricky parts but due to your infinite life CP it really didnt matter. Inventive platforming elements and good layer use. 5 Stars and Hearted I think I tagged it platformer...check level comments to be sure Please play Part 2 of my BORG Saga....thanks! | 2010-03-23 21:44:00 Author: AJnKnox Posts: 518 |
Hey nicely done! I like the idea of this level - it works very well. That said, I found a game breaking glitch that you should know about. It's hard to explain without a pic (I took one but can't find my flash drive!). It's at the section where the check point is moving in a frantic figure 8 pattern, and you have to run, jump, grab a circle thing, and let go to put you on a floor below. You walk to the left and there is an elevator with a switch. Pull the switch and the elevator goes down. Once you're down, if you die at any point before activating another check point, you're back to the top of the circle with the figure 8 check point. The problem is the elevator.. it doesn't come back up. If you could put a player proximity switch next to it that would sense if the player is back on top, then make it reset the elevator to its top position, that would fix it up. But as it is, if the player dies at that spot, the level is not finishable. I suggest checking out the elevator section in the LBPC logic pack if you need further help. If you're unsure as to exactly where I'm talking about, PM me and I'll send you the picture as soon as I find my flash drive. Great level though EDIT - hmm.. just had a thought. I wonder if the player actually needs the elevator? I'll give it another try. If the player can just fall down the hole, then ignore what I said above | 2010-03-24 16:25:00 Author: Powershifter Posts: 668 |

If the player can just fall down the hole, then ignore what I said above If you have to have or want to keep the lift just add a 'weak' piston to one side of the switch that is set to keep the lift at the top (hooked up to a mag switch set to directional) then once they get down it will automatically return to the top. (unless they have trouble exiting the lift when its down you have to check your design to know for sure) Just a thought | 2010-03-24 17:01:00 Author: AJnKnox Posts: 518 |
Thanks for spotting that Powershifter i'll have a look at it when i go on shortly, glad you enjoyed the level aswell @AJnKNox, I think i'll give your idea a try, i'll have a mess around shortly | 2010-03-24 18:35:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |

Hey Tony, I played this earlier and had a lot of fun, but I wanted to tell you about an area where the player can get stuck. I believe it's about half way through, when there is a wood circle that carries you horizontally and then get's smashed. Well, I managed to get squished and when I respawned, there was no wooden circle, thus I could not move down to the lower level. I'm sure it was just a fluke, but I thought you might like to know about it. | 2010-03-25 01:38:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
I seriously love this level, I have played it several times now, or at least attempted to. I played it through the first time and thought it was pure platforming at its best. The visuals were simple but impressive, the two materials really go well together. I immediately decided to play through it again which isn't something I do often. The second time I ended up getting stuck, I believe in the same spot Powershifter is talking about. Besides getting stuck, it was still worth a few more plays. | 2010-03-25 06:17:00 Author: CallMeCoolEthan Posts: 27 |

Hey thanks for playing it I'll be honest, all the times i played through the level either on my own or with friends that never happened, but thanks for letting me know, i'll take a look at it later. Maybe i could trigger a checkpoint when you start to move behind the glass, i'll think of something @CallMeCoolEthan Glad you liked the level so much I just didnt have time to look at that part last night but i'll get on it tonight and have a look. Thanks for playing. | 2010-03-25 07:34:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |
Played this last night with my friend Monstahr, and I must say we both really enjoyed your level! I love how you used your materials together! Looks really clean/professional/...comfy. Great platforming elements and puzzles! I particularly loved the physics based puzzles. Very multiplayer friendly, too. Me and my friend had no trouble getting through apart from a few hilarious deaths lol. Song choice is perfect. I missed playing a GOOD level with that song. xD 5 stars and hearted! | 2010-03-25 16:03:00 Author: GreyMRP Posts: 588 |
Ok ive addressed the problem mrsupercomputer pointed out, ive added another checkpoint at the bottom. And the other one pointed out by a couple of people, ive changed the way you get down to the next level. Thanks for telling me about these, its much appreciated | 2010-03-25 18:43:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |

Great level. Lot's of fun. You had a unique choice of materials which actually worked very well and great gameplay to boot. I'd give 4.5 star and a heart for you! Great stuff. Looking forward to more! | 2010-03-26 00:11:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
Hey Tony, i really liked this level. The level is all about the gameplay but has clean visuals as well. Overall the game play was very sound, everything worked perfectly, it all seemed to flow nicely. I liked the transitions from circle to circle as well. The visuals stuck to a certain look with two materials consistently, and all of it was clean and smooth. I liked the simple designs such as the thin ovals diagonally back to back in the hallways. Throwing in little things like that keeps it from becoming repetitive and keep the visual fresh. Overall it was a very good level, i gave 5 stars and im gonna heart it, i was in a hurry and had to leave right after scoreboard. Could you check out my level Gangsta life of Detroit level? Pros: Level plays well and difficulty increases nicely. Some of the platforming is pretty unique and well made. Cons: Ok so first time i played it was with 2 other people: There were places such as the circle which moves horizontally and then gets smashed... one of the players had died so the two of us got into the circle (obviously set to require all) and then half way across moving along the 3rd player spawned at the lower checkpoint so the circle moving horizontally returned to its original position and we were forced to pop... perhaps a logic sequence set to continue the process not just a simple require all switch would be better suited here. Id go over the rest of the level and check for require all points too, its not always the best thing to use. Note: I did play later as a single player and I flowed much better. The design was pretty bland throughout, I know you said that you wanted to stick to just a few materials but a little bit of a mix up later in the level would have helped. Don't get me wrong I liked it at the beginning but after 10 minutes of playing it just felt meh. Plus this is one of the few levels I don't think should have used the layer glitch. Just sticking circles in the background didn't work for me. Overall its a good level and as u can see with the rating lots of people like it. Its like I said to Poms you've made a level which the majority of people will enjoy and ur getting the praise u deserve for it. Just for a 5 star level I'm expecting something that makes me go wow... and this didn't. Oh and btw, don't mention overheating... feels a little bit tacky. Rating 4 stars, no heart. | 2010-04-06 11:24:00 Author: ladylyn1 Posts: 836 |
Nice one. Yeah i get what you mean with the movin circle part, the only other person that happened to, as far as i know, was mrsupercomputer. I'll look at it. And as for the materials, i mean, come on im hardly goin to change the theme of the level half way through am i? Think about it. But whatever, your opinion is your opinion, so i'll take onboard what you've said. | 2010-04-06 11:51:00 Author: TonyTwoGunz Posts: 139 |

And I didn't mean to entirely change it, you could perhaps introduce a more enclosed section for one of the rooms or introduce a new material... i don't know just spice it up some how. Still you've got it as you like it, so I wouldn't bother changing it... as you said it's just my opinion. | 2010-04-06 12:50:00 Author: ladylyn1 Posts: 836 |
That was a clean and fun level. I simply like the idea of using circles as everything in this level. The usage of Paintinator worked nicely too. The puzzles are enjoyable and intriguing. It's funny to see such an amusing level that only has 2 materials [I think]. P.S. How come the thermo of this level was full? I only see a few different objects and materials in this level and there seems to be plenty of space in this level. | 2010-04-09 00:54:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
An excellent level! great gameplay and great use of the materials! Be sure to check out my levels, On Stranger Ground and Sky City! | 2010-11-16 20:43:00 Author: Unknown User |
There is a necromancer amongst us! Although I agree it is a good level. You should check the date the thread was last commented on. This one is from april. | 2010-11-16 20:46:00 Author: TheAffected Posts: 626 |
Not my style of course, the wood and plaid style and the music made me bored and ****** off, but 5 stars for the actual gameplay. Also, I like the part which had circles. | 2010-11-20 22:20:00 Author: Cronos Dage Posts: 396 |

No offence/controversy intended, but I really liked the simplicity of the material pallets in this level. I felt that from my own personal play through it enhanced the gameplay and made it seem smooth and precise. I am aware that it isn't your prefered style but I am pretty sure that the simplicity was intended for this effect | 2010-11-21 01:12:00 Author: AssassinatorRFC Posts: 715 |
I really enjoyed the simplicity of this level. It seemed like I just flowed thru it, which can be a nice change of pace. I liked the various "chain reactions." (like using the paintinator to move things around) I don't remember having any real trouble with anything, so I guess I don't have much to be critical about. Fun stuff! 4 stars! | 2010-11-23 04:47:00 Author: skumchunk Posts: 57 |
