Created an amazing level? Taken screenshots, created a thread for it here on LBPC, worked your burlap off, but the level still isn't getting noticed? How about we create a HD trailer for your level?! That's right! Fill in the form below and we'll film it in HD, edit it into a trailer, upload it to our YouTube Channel and send you the link! Voila! You have an awesome level trailer to show off your latest creation and we have another video to proudly put up on our shelf! Bon appetit!

Before you go too crazy, read through the rules and guidelines to check you're eligible! (We will check!)

Rules:

1.) You must be a [fairly] active member of LBPC and have your level posted in the Level Showcase section of this website.
2.) We will all try and play the level before it's recorded and then take a vote on whether we deem the level worthy of a trailer. (This may seem harsh but nobody wants tons of crappy trailers for crappy levels!)
3.) The trailer will only be uploaded to the Sackinima YouTube channel, or else we wouldn't profit from this service.
4.) You must fill out the request form or else your request will be ignored!
5.) It may take weeks for your trailer to be created, so please be patient!
6.) To keep render and upload times to a minimum, your trailer will be no longer than 2:30 minutes long.

I'm sure you all saw the LBPC the game trailer... So just remember leather is the guy who made that, if you want a clue to the utter quality of which we're looking at :kz: so yep, just telling you how much quality to expect... Also, leather was done the trailer in less then a week after we got the footage, so if Moley can keep to speed, should be fast. /endorsement2010-03-22 21:27:00

But you said nothing in your rules and guidelines on difficulty, unless I overlooked something. So what if in the future I have an expert level, and request a trailer, and meet the guidelines? How would you be able to record a video for an expert level? I just figured that would be something that would be mentioned in the guidelines and rules, but I didn't see anything. Oh yeah, I forgot it was a trailer and not a level playthrough. So clips from any part can be shown, plus jww pointed a good idea. I could play while the other records, because watching someone die over and over on 1st obstacle for trailer wouldn't be a good trailer, lol. Thanks!

Any Specific Scenes/Sequences You Would Like Created: Show the lead up to the big teleportation machine when you bomb the floor and make a big dramatic scene for when you get teleported. Make the anti-colour dimension look as fun as possible. Tease or briefly show the big teleportation machine when it's broken.

Parts Of The Level You Don't Want Shown In The Trailer: The part where you fix the machine with the fuses.

Morgana, we would have had your trailer up yesterday but when uploading it kept coming back with errors. I tried it like 5 times and it still did it. So I'm trying again now, if it works your trailer will be viewable in a few hours. Fingers crossed!

EDIT: Yay, it worked! Hope it's ok Morgana. I tried to work out what parts of the level were what, I got a bit confused. So hopefully I've included all the bits you wanted.

Level looks great Morgana. I am curious, it fades to white so often it's hard to tell. But after the coloured switch puzzle thing and the lights start rotating it fades to white and then a new scene appears. Is this editing or does it look like that in game? I am trying to achieve the same effect in a level and my technique at the minute is giant foggy spotlights but it's not ideal or 100% effective, but the transition from one scene to the next isn't that massive. The version in this video is perfect, so if it isn't the editing a clue would be greatly appreciated as to how to achieve such perfection!2010-04-08 17:41:00

The initial white spotlight is in game but the transition is done in editing the video by Leather-Monkey. To get a total white fade in game try setting up a global lighting tool with a lot of fog and changing the color filter to the black and white setting. Makes a great white flash that will pull off the effect your looking for I think.2010-04-08 18:05:00

hey, i would just like to ask a question. I noticed that you went out of "order" and did Morgana's trailer before mine. I was just wondering if you deemed mine unsuitable, If so, im fine with that. I know my work isnt the greatest thing under the sun, and im fine with that. or did you miss my post afterwards about understanding the rules? or were you just boosting Morgana ahead because of her status as a great LBPC member? Sorry poorjack, I was meant to mention that! Morgana's request took priority over the other two requests we now have, mostly because she's a much more established member here and we felt the level was of higher quality. Also, I had a favour to return.

I only have one more level to record at the moment. However, any new requests would not be made for a while because L-M has 3 levels ready for trailer-fying and something else that is awesome.

and I need another 9 hours to upload the rest of the stuff that I have recorded. o_O It seems to be uploading them in reverse order aswell... The last thing I recorded is already uploaded! Delerium, here's yours. I really like this but as a trailer it spoils the levels scary bits. I wasn't really thinking and just tried to put enough footage in so it lasted for the whole of the audio track. I put a spoiler warning at the beginning. If you like I can make a less spoiler-y one...

Then do it like you want. Be sure to show the Woods in their fullest, especially the best parts, like the Pools of Decay part, the Plague Cauldron, The Catacombs, and the evil tree at the beginning.
Please don't show the part where you are selecting the level in the Pod too. (well, i will edit it if you do it anyway don't worry)
