Okay, I just got back from playing this and here's what I thought:

First off, it looked jaw-dropping. I don't think I've ever seen a level make such good use of the 50-layer glitch (or however many layers it adds, I'm not saying 3D glitch because it's stupid.) Lighting was great and, while I have never played the Lost in Nightmares DLC for RE5, I think that the color correction you used for this level made it looked just look what I have seen from trailers and reviews.

Unfortunately, I found the gameplay a bit lacking. I know this is supposed to be Adventure Game-like and I have no problem with that. I'm not going to say the platforming was weak, I know what you were going for here. However, it's awfully easy. It's not set up in a particularly rewarding way, and at the end I felt a bit empty, like what I had done really meant nothing. There was no climax or anything at the end, all that happened was that I opened some weird door and went to the end. I feel for you, your thermo was full, but the actual adventure-type gameplay wasn't set up in a way that I was a big fan of. It was all pretty obvious in terms of what items you had to use where and the most challenging part was finding some of the more out of the way paths to go. I always hate when people recommend levels for me to play to see what they did right that I didn't, but if you want to see a great level like this, go play Siren: The Lost World by Exalted_Yawn. A great bunch of adventure-horror levels that I think could give you some inspiration.

Anyway, I thought this was a pretty good start for the series. It was definitely one of the best looking levels I've ever seen. 4 stars.

I know the ending seemed weak, but in the game the same exact thing happened. if the thermo will let me i'll try and extend the ending with a climax with the main enemy. Part 2 is gonna have action this time, i'm also thinking of adding a reward system to the lvl. Finding the BSAA emblems. I'm gonna try my best to make part 2 even better.2010-03-23 01:46:00

That was a fun level very close to the original but it would have been funny to see a reference to the Jill sandwich. Visuals are very nice and the free to explore feel is cool. I like it good job can't wait for part 2.2010-03-23 23:46:00

Hi

I played this Xeno and I agree. You do something I havent seen before with your movment system. I havent played any of these games so I dont know about the closness of matching an original but I thought you created a new genre within LBP. Of course I dont play enough level really as I am always creating! I loved the visual style your layout and the feel and atmosphere.

I gave it 5 stars and tagged it Brilliant!

Please Part 2 of my BORG Saga. Thanks
