LBP PSP Caption Contest! The idea behind this is simple: I post an in-game picture from LBP PSP. You add a caption. Just save a copy of the photo above, add your caption or subtitle, and post it here. Whoever comes up with the best caption wins! Every two weeks a new picture will be posted and the fun begins all over again. What should the caption be? Anything really. Perhaps it's something Sackboy (or Sackgirl!) is thinking or saying. Your caption may be a public service message, or a dramatic movie poster title. Captions can be speech bubbles, signs, or even a short story if you like. The sky is the limit! (I don't need to remind you to keep it clean, do I?) Wait, how the heck do I add captions? There are many different ways. You can use just about any photo editing software there is to add subtitles, bubbles, boxes, whatever. Even Microsoft Paint will work and approximately everyone on Earth has access to that. If you're feeling extra-fancy, however, I suggest you head over to Photobucket.com and grab yourself a free account (http://register.photobucket.com/). Upload the picture above, select "Edit", and go to the "Decorations" tab. You can do all kinds of cool stuff there, all for free! Still having trouble? Don't be afraid to ask for help. We don't bite... hard. The Prizes Awards are given to the first, second, and third best captions as follows: First Place: 250 experience points and the option to serve as a judge in the next round contest! Second Place: 100 experience points Third Place: 50 experience points. The LBPC forum experience system (vBExperience) is still missing in action, but not for long. What are the Experiene points? So what are these mysterious points you ask? Well before upgrading to vBulletin 4.0, we had an experience system (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=1768-An-Introduction-to-Experience) where you gain points based on your usefulness as a member of this community. For instance, you get a certain amount of points for posting on threads or giving out "Thanks." These experience points improve your rank--the "Lint" title above your avatar--and they could've also been used as currency in the experience store to purchase cool sackboy icons to display under your avatar, or buying "bundles" that give you extra priviliges like having an animated avatar, or using font color in your sig. It was an excellent feature for contests to reward points, and we know the developer of the old version is currently working on a new one that will be compatible with this version of vBulletin. Oh, trust me, China LIKES it when people poke fun at Japan. I won't go into a history lesson, but China still has a huge grudge against Japan due to World War II. It's not like a small portion of the population feels this way, it's like the entire nation is still pretty unhappy about it. An example is that I was in a car that was involved in a 3 car accident, and one of the people literally said that the accident should be one of the people's fault simply because they had a Japanese car! Also, the student in my classes don't like talking about Japan. They always get a little angry or uncomfortable. There's a quick mini-Chinese lesson for you :-)
