Black Dark Matter?
Archive: 14 posts
I've never noticed this before but if you put a black sticker on DM it doesn't do anything. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to make black coloured DM. I know I could just glue other materials around it and make them black but it would be good if I could make the actual DM black. So can it be done? | 2010-03-21 01:27:00 Author: SR20DETDOG ![]() Posts: 2431 |
Can't be done...closest you can get is glitched DM that looks like Rubber. | 2010-03-21 01:50:00 Author: FuzzballFox ![]() Posts: 217 |

Well...if you are after said 'Rubber DM' I do have it~ | 2010-03-21 11:19:00 Author: FuzzballFox ![]() Posts: 217 |
If you really want black dm just get some rubber and embed it into the middle of some dark matter. Then just cover the thing in a peice of thin layer rubber. | 2010-03-21 13:39:00 Author: theamilien ![]() Posts: 485 |
Try putting a black sticker on rubber, then material-changing it to DM. should work, in theory. | 2010-03-22 02:45:00 Author: Deviantgeek ![]() Posts: 386 |
Why not use rubber and then attach an invisible little piece of DM to it? Why do you need the DM to be visible? | 2010-03-22 03:52:00 Author: comphermc ![]() Posts: 5338 |

LOLS i love looking at threads like these, i think i have a way of doing it, i tryed stickering dm the other day and it didn't work lol but you could do this. Make a block of any material i recommend carboard, make it emmit through an emmiter then, set its lifetime to infinte, sticker the carboard block just emmited, change material to DM and there. That should work. | 2010-03-22 11:33:00 Author: lbpholic ![]() Posts: 1304 |

Why not use rubber and then attach an invisible little piece of DM to it? Why do you need the DM to be visible? Well atm this is what I'm doing, I don't need the DM to be visable it would just be easier and I was wandering if black DM could actually be made. Well...if you are after said 'Rubber DM' I do have it~ I suppose this would be helpful but I'm not making any levels to use it in, so thanks for the offer but I don't really need black DM as such I was interested as to whether it could be done. | 2010-03-23 08:36:00 Author: SR20DETDOG ![]() Posts: 2431 |
Why would applying the sticker then tweaking it to dark matter work? You've still jsut got dark matter with a sticker on it. Or have I missed something here? | 2010-03-23 10:41:00 Author: rtm223 ![]() Posts: 6497 |

I was pretty certain it wouldn't work but there's no point in not trying it. | 2010-03-23 11:12:00 Author: SR20DETDOG ![]() Posts: 2431 |
