Better Costume Customization

Archive: 9 posts

I know this is a minor thing, but I really think that they should create something like this. I mean, I like to actually sticker my Sackboy to a color of my choosing. Also, I like to see some zooming in feature like in th PS3. It makes it easy to customize my Sackboy more. Well, to make it easy, here's a list of how to make thecostume customization:

Stickering your Sackperson.
Rotating your Sackperson.
Camera zooming in.
A way to make your Sackperson move a body part in order to get those hard to reach areas (ex. head).

So, what's you in take of this suggestion?

While all those are good ideas are would be great to have, I'd prefer if they focused on the create mode stuff more. IMO, there is already enough sackboy customization for a game with no multiplayer, and without multiplayer it doesn't have the same appeal. Or maybe that's just me.

But I do the zoom feature.

It's all about the processing power. I'm sure they added everything they could without making our PSPs blow up. Still, a "dye" option would be nice in place of wrap-around stickers. That would just a palette change option and shouldn't take up processing power.2010-03-20 01:57:00

I already made a thread about "Lights and Lighting Control". Other than that, I don't think they should change much. LBP PSP actually has a better Corner Editing system then LBP PS3!

It's not really about the processing power. ModNation Racers has multiplayer and better customization, while Gran Turismo has better graphics. I think Cambridge is waiting to make it an update. In other words, they rushed the game to release it near the holidays in order to make some porfit during the holiday shopping. So they probably didn't have enough time to add it in.

Gran Turismo, for example, does not utilize smoothing but rather "shifts" every other frame to the side by one pixel. At 60 frames per second, this gives the effect of smoothing without the processing power required for it, thus allowing more complex rendering to take place. So better graphics yes as a result of optimized use of resources.

Regardless of all that, you are definitely right about shipping the game pre-holidays, so I'm sure there are things they didn't have time make work right that they are trying to fix.
