Archive: 12 posts
Announced just now, LBP PSP has received the BAFTA for the Best Handheld game. http://twitter.com/baftaonline/status/10741413708 So, your thoughts? A well earned award, or was there another game from the nominees that it should have went to. The nominees were: WINNER: LittleBigPlanet (PSP) Gran Turismo LocoRoco Midnight Carnival Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story Professor Layton and Pandora’s Box Scribblenauts The PSP version was also up for the Use of Online award. However, that award went to FIFA 10. | 2010-03-19 22:33:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |
FIFA 10? No offense, but that's not a worthy nominee. Sure Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can take it in my book, but FIFA 10? | 2010-03-19 23:04:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
All the nominees are excellent as well. But the best game definitely won! | 2010-03-19 23:18:00 Author: Fastbro Posts: 1277 |
Wow, I'm amazed it beat out Gran Turismo PSP. Then again, GT's lack of a career mode probably hurt it somewhat... but it's still jaw-droppingly epic. Yay LBP PSP! Does anybody happen to know how many levels have been published yet? | 2010-03-20 00:18:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
My guess is 70,000 levels. LBP PS3 had that many in two months, so with LBP PSP going on for four months but lacking wireless internet users, it should be around that. | 2010-03-20 00:36:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
I'm so glad Midnight Carnival was nominated as well. That game is extremely cute and fun ^^! But LBP PSP is incredible! It really did deserve to win, in my opinion. | 2010-03-20 00:38:00 Author: Phalaina Posts: 181 |
Well deserved. The PSP has had a good running when it comes to best handheld games. | 2010-03-20 02:01:00 Author: MattAstr Posts: 99 |
i remember a while back when scribblenauts was 1st aunounced, poeple were excited about it. i dont own a ds but i always assumed it was a good game does anyone have it ? what is it like ? but anyway, lbp psp is a worthy nominee and congrats on winning i have not played the others though there all good games and it looks like it was a hard choice | 2010-03-20 02:05:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |
Scribblenauts was actually a pull factor for LBP PSP in my opinion. LBP PS3 had converted average gamers into Creators, making them LBP fans. Scribblenauts converted average handheld gamers to Creators too. Now with LBP PSP out, many might have actually got the game in order to replenish their creative need. So I think Scribblenauts introduced the Create genre to handheld owners, and with LBP gathering media attention, it wasn't long before the those guys decided to get LBP PSP. So with that, I kind of thank Scribblenauts for that boost. | 2010-03-20 03:33:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
I'm very glad that LBP PSP won. Totally deserved. It's one of the best portable games ever, even with the initial problems and bugs. | 2010-03-24 02:06:00 Author: Lleonard Pler Posts: 277 |
My guess is 70,000 levels. LBP PS3 had that many in two months, so with LBP PSP going on for four months but lacking wireless internet users, it should be around that. But now take a guess at how many are actually worth playing :/ lol | 2010-03-24 17:34:00 Author: Pete1991 Posts: 225 |
I'd say it definitely deserves the award over it's competitors. Though that isn't to say the game is anywhere near perfect...I could stand to see less bugs. But other than the bugs, it is a truly impressive game. | 2010-03-29 00:55:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
