In many 3d modeling programs, the program will allow the user to import pictures / files from the hard drive to use as blueprints for building. I think this should be implemented into LBP's create mode. I'm not the most artistic person, so most of my creations aren't very artsy. Rather, they stick to what things actually look like (I hope ). I often use photos as references when building objects, and I think it would be very neat and helpful if you were able to simply upload these pictures into the level to use as a blueprint. The difference between a picture uploading option, which I know has been brought up before, and a blueprint option is that blueprint's don't show up in play mode. They also should have their own special layer, right behind the thin layer furthest back. With the use of front view instead of game mode you would be able to recreate very accurate objects and scenes using these blueprints as your guide. The only way I know of to do this right now is with the eye toy, where you have to take a picture of a picture. it doesn't work very well and this would be much easier. I also couldn't see it conflicting with any of the problems often associated with uploading pictures, such as inappropriate content, copyright issues, etc... what do you guys think?

That's a great idea, it would make it so much easier to create backgrounds and the like. the only problem is that now I'm annoyed I don't have it.

Blueprints would be pretty kewl it would be like saving, your level onto paper.

Good idea. I build the same way as you so know exactly what you mean. I have no artistic talent at all so have to rely on copying pictures, usually from books because I can never find a picture that's any good on the net. You'd think the net would have millions of good pictures but in reality you usually find a search throws up hundreds of results but all with the same rubbish pictures. Your blueprint idea would also make it much easier to get things in proportion too which I always have trouble with.

Great idea it would be much easier to build in 3D that way cause of the fact that, the Camera when 3D is "VERY" annoying at times. Sometimes your barely see whats where.
