In the land of Breakfinland, there live the food and the silverware. Ever since The Great Feast of 2006, WaffleWorld and the Forknited States have lived in peace. While after The Great Feast, the Silverware seemed very apologetic...all, except one nation, reluctant to agree to the terms stated in the Food Treaty of 2006... Things are intense. Something big isabout to happen...and sack boy may be our only hope.


This is really just a level to get people the jist of the series. It was going to be longer, but I produced the first half of this level last summer and just recently got into LBP again and then got the PotC pack and then made the rest of this level. The weird thing is that I think I got a lot better from NOT playing LBP for a long time. Weird, huh?

Lol, you found lights ZOMG! Unfortunately I fell somehow before i could get those score bubbles way on the left. I had a little trouble in the beginning but after I stopped being overzealous and used a little thinking, I could pass through with a breeze. Good gameplay, makes you use your head a little bit. If you used that material sponge intentionally for golden coins, you are brilliant. It's a pretty short level eh? I was expecting a somewhat longer level but no matter, it was an enjoyable level overall. Can't wait for the next chapter! 4 stars/heart for both level and creator. You can get behind those trees by either grabbing and swinging on the bottom of the clouds or walking on top of the clouds. You're rewarded with something that is really stupid.

I have just played the level. Is not bad, I gave you 4 stars. Nevertheless I found quite room for improvement.

- the beginnig is frustrating. I understand the person who tagged the level frustrating (I didn't). I had to play 3 times before I could pass the part of the blue gas. In general I would have abandoned first time. I strongly advice you you to make the beginnig easier. This will avoid you many frustrated players which rate you one star.
- after the beginning the level is much better. Nevertheless it is quite heterogenous. You change from the forest to a castle too fast in my opninion
- the level is too short. You could consider enlarge it a bit
- gameplay is the best part I think.

Overall, the level is good, but you should keep working on it.

Well, I stopped making the level because I wanted to put water in somewhere, but implementing it the way I wanted to would ruin some other things in the level. I went into it not really knowing what I was going to do.

I've played your level. A few thoughts.

-The first platforming part is harder than the rest of the entire level.
-It's awfully short, could be a bit longer.
-Maybe make the checkpoints unlimited life?
-The characters could use a few more stickers, it could make them look nicer with more defined features. They look a little plain as they are now.
-I'd say it has too much Mm stuff. In particular, the clouds and trees.

That being said, the gameplay is good, and the scenery is alright.

The only MM objects I used were the clouds and the trees. Everything else I made myself...unless I wasted all of that time making sticker cuts. I know you aren't looking for me to defend myself, it only makes me come off as an *** who can't take criticism, but I just wanted to clear that up. I'm certain the only MM objects I used were the clouds and trees.

okay...
-The caracters were simple(pour some sugar on 'em a bit in a figurative way of course)
-The storyline seems solid(I'll wait for the sequel)
-The level is waaaay too short! (minimize your number of materials to three or four not sixteen! )
-The first part of gameplay is actually hard and frustrating(infinite life checkpoints would toast your waffles )
-That's it I guess...

I actually don't even think the chest sticker I used is from the PoTC pack. I think it's from the History pack. I know that the PoTC pack added some treasure stickers, but I don't know how good they are.

Anyway, I went and tweaked the beginning. Added an infinite life checkpoint at the swingy part and slowed down the rotating things. Also, I added an R1 sign next to the giant flipping stairs just in case people don't know what to do there.

I thought it was cool, and it has me waiting for the rest of the series... but yeah, the platforming at the beginning was the hardest part of the level. Other than that tho, it was good. I went back and replaced what I think was the hardest part of the whole beginning and put in a much easier part. I also added some awesomeness to the scoreboard and tweaked the beginning part with the corner editing tool. I think you guys should have no problem getting past the first part now.

Thanks for playing and commenting on my level!

So I played this twice and currently have the 3rd place score

Ok the visuals really could have been better but that being said I did rate it 4 Stars and tagged it Platformer.

The reason:

Your platform elements were good (I see you have tweaked some before now to make it easier) and your story really hit a 'Sweet' spot with me!
When King Waffle says 'what can we do, we are only Delicious Waffles' I laughed so hard that I cried!

I know I am a bit strange but hey that was a great high point for me and why I played a second time if I am honest!

Anyway I thought it was very cute but could use some TLC on the visuals.

before I comment on your level let me say: thanks a lot for giving feedback on my sackmare on elmstreet 2010 level
I always appreciate a good , extensive feedback post and your's was great!

Anyways, this level was original and stylish. I have to say it was not very impressive visually (for me at least) as I'm not too happy with the use of stickered characters but it did the job pretty well here.

I do have to agree with the previous posts, the beginning nearly had me quit after four attempts. After that hard start it gets better and plays very fluently till the finish. It really didn't bother me that much that it's short. Like you said, it's a PROLOGUE and those are never meant to be very long.

I do expect a longer second part now ;-)

First off the idea of the level. Having waffles fight silverware is pretty funny. It was light on story, but enough to give you a reason to get to the end. The gameplay wasnt overly complex or new but it was done right. I liked the pulling the block off the ice by pulling the swing, and where the stairs popped out of the ground to go higher. The characters design was simple but it felt right. It was pretty short so theres not much else to comment on. How far along is the sequel?

The sequel I haven't really worked on that much, but it's getting there. I just made a banana boat for it. I also encountered an extremely bizarre glitch in which I glued some points to a treasure chest thing underwater and then everything in the level falls through the ground. It was weird.

I finally got your level to load! So I thought it was very good but very short. I don't dock you points though since it is the prologue. I did think though that the characters are well designed but the rest of the level was rather ordinary. What I mean is that the gameplay and the other visuals (beside the characters) were kind of basic. I did have a problem with the first little bit of the level, it almost felt slippery in a way. Enjoyed your level. Nice gameplay. Funny characters and dialogue.

I still found the beginning rather hard.

I played your level twice (went back to go to the secret areas with the lights and the prize).

I'm looking forward to the next part.

I just finished playing your level and here is what I think...

The good:
1.The platforming was good and had a lot of fun to offer.
2.inventive characters and a comedic situation.


What needs to be Improved:
1. I saw that you forgot to make some of bolts invisible, just play through again and you'll see them.
2. The platforming felt a little bit samey (the same) in some bits. For example the rope swinging on the skulls and another section of swinging before that.
3. In the end I thought the skulls were placed down way too much. I suggest lowering that amount because it just felt too clustered.
4. When using the brick material you can use the corner editor to give a very nice bricky feeling.

Overall: A good platforming level that is worth checking out because it has some very creative challenges but treads the ground of rope swinging.

3 stars (and a heart so I can come back to it and see what you did with this feedback )!

Time for Arkei to make one of his famous home-style late promises.
Gameplay-wise, the basic contraptions and puzzles were fun.
VIsual-wise, however, it needs a little work. It has the strange feeling of being very detailed and not detailed at all. Most of the time it looks either made completely stuck to the grid, all pointy and blocky, or kind of sloppily trimmed with the circle tool. A few visible components. At the tunnel with the fire-blocks coming from the ground, you should try covering the entire bottom with a thin layer to hide the tiny little slivers of light.

Good job so far, looking forward to the next levels.

Hello awesomemans, I have just played your level again. Let me tell you that now it is much better. The modifications in the blue gas zone, when you have to grap to rotating thins, are great. Now the level is easier, although still there is challenge. I have noticed that you have also enlarged a bit the level, adding some fire at the end of the castle.

Congratulations man, looking forward to know the continuation.
