I recently got Patapon 2 for the PSP and have decided to make a LBP level as closely related to the actual game including making logic so that the player actually "drums" (or grabs sponges) like how you would press [ ], O, triangle, or X to play out commands. What the player is doing is commanding an army of patapons through the stage using various commands like: [ ] [ ] [ ] O (march) O O [ ] O (attack) triangle triangle [ ] O (defend) and X X X X (miracle (rain)). My idea is to hook four grab switches up to pistons which each have a magnetic key, these pistons extend to activate a switch on a spinning wheel which is separated into four beats (one full rotation = measure = 4 beats) each which have all the switches to activate for that beat. each switch for each beat is hooked up to one of 16 emitters (4 keys per beat, 4 breats, 4x4=16) on a grid which will emit new key switches (which last the length of the measure) which activate new switches which are hooked up to AND switches (one for each command) which will each activate a quick reset timer which will carry out the event for the next four beats (i.e. the player drums four beats, then waits four beats, then repeats). I know it sounds complicated because it is, i can hardly see some of my switches through the wiring, HOWEVER i have finished building the logic and am working through the testing and tweaking phases. once I finish that, I'm all set to build the level around the logic. If you see any flaws in my logic you can go ahed and tell me and ill try to report back on if A: I already know and/or have fixed it already, B: haven't discovered this problem and will look into it (if its there) or C: fixed the result of "B". I hope to have it out as soon as possible and I'll take ANY feedback. :star::star: I have another level out!
