Asides from the fact that it's super fun, what gets you motivated to create something spetacular? It could be for showing off to your friends, or to prove that you can make a good level, or for 1st page cool level hit with community spotlight! Or maybe you just do all for fun? (Likely..)

I really don't care about popularity! Because with popularity comes spam and I don't stand spam! I create levels because a finished/polished level is like a piece of art, you went in your imaginary world to pick the brightest idea and the one that's makes you laugh/smile/..cry? It's all about making it for yourself other than for a creativity-killer community... if you get what I mean.

Pretty much the above point - I feel great at the oint I've released a level and I can't wait to see what the community (most importantly this one!) thinks about it. Of course my real goal is to get in the spotlight, but as long as I like my level and my brother enjoys playing through it - then it's a winning level for me

While it's great to see what the community thinks of your level, I still like to create levels that I personally enjoy. If I don't enjoy the level, then it's not worth creating. However, getting feedback from the community keeps me going. If no one played my levels, I probably would have not created quite as many levels.

When I get bored of playing games I usually go to the editor and create for fun. When I start to create a level I always try to better what ive done previously.
