Inconsistency

um, in my level i have a little bit where you ride a cart down a slope. Almost all of the time it goes down fine, but occasionally it does make it all the way to the end. The cart isn't powered by anything. But the times that it does go all the way it, it looks like it could have gone much further but seeing how fast it hits the end. 2010-03-17 17:33:00

The trick with mine carts is to make them heavier, which gives them more momentum, and less susceptible to change in movement by the actions of the sackpeople inside. Polystyrene/cardboard can be tipped all too easily by sackboy, and doesn't pick up a lot of energy when rolling down a slope. Wood, metal and stone are better for this purpose.2010-03-17 22:09:00

Well, the seem like the would make it now but the wheels sometimes break, even when they dont i dont think that it would be able to take two or more sack people. I've finished everything else but this. I'm gunna try different materials, because i cant really change the looks of them. If anyone could possibly help me i would be very grateful 2010-05-12 10:36:00

Change the wheels to metal, too - it is more resistant to breakages.2010-05-12 16:21:00

they are metal, but i've made the cart lighter by changing the material, so it now works on one player. I havnt been able to test with more than one, but i doubt it will work.2010-05-12 17:40:00

Maybe it is something to do with your track, then? Any overlarge jumps can cause problems (you never see them in the Canyons level The Mines). High speeds can cause bolts to break.2010-05-13 00:50:00
