Voting for the first round of the Escapist?s <a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/99064-2010-March-Mayhem-Developers-Showdown-Brackets-Are-Live" title="">March Mayhem Developer?s Showdown 2010</a> begins today. It's a chance for the public to vote for their favourite developers. A chance to show the world who truly has the biggest and most persuadable fan base. A chance for The Escapist to treble their readership. But most of all, it’s an all out horrible teeth-gnashing bloody <em>battle to the death</em> to see who will actually bother voting, and who is the BEST DEVELOPER EVAR. We are committed to victory. There is a very slim chance of achieving that victory, it’s basically a suicide mission, and that is why we have chosen YOU to fight for us whilst we hang out behind the lines drinking tea. Now is the time people! <a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/registration/register.php" title="">Sign up and vote for us</a>, the true underdogs of this war. Do your duty and<strong> vote, vote, vote for Molecule! </strong> I’ll lead the charge! The 900 billion people who own Rock Band won?t even know what?s hit ‘em! <a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/532.179670-Poll-Round-1-West-4-Harmonix-vs-13-Media-Molecule" title="" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.mediamolecule.com/images/uploads/rockthevote_thumb.jpg" alt="Oooooh!" width="645" height="860" /></a> <div class="center"><h3><a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/532.179670-Poll-Round-1-West-4-Harmonix-vs-13-Media-Molecule" title="" target="_blank">Vote Molecule!</a></h3> <strong>Note that you <a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/registration/register.php" title="">need to sign up for an account</a> at The Escapist to vote. </strong> | 2010-03-17 17:20:00 Author: Spaff_Molecule Posts: 421 |

Well, I tried to log into the escapist page to vote for Mm because now that it's a first party company, it has a legitimate excuse for playing console favoritism. However, for some reason I couldn't log in. It stumped me for a fraction of a second before I remembered: I didn't register for escapist magazine because I couldn't care less about their kook opinions. Oh well. | 2010-03-17 20:03:00 Author: MMLgamer Posts: 183 |
I think CC should make it so you can't log in to LBPC until you vote for MM . Lol, I'm joking.... Or am I? EDIT: D: the link doesn't work. | 2010-03-17 20:16:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
And if we vote, we get a free crown. Right Spaff?! In all seriousness, I'm going to vote MM because I have never played a game as long as I've played LittleBigPlanet. It's given me much more than the $60+ dollars I've payed. I won't stop playing until they disconnect the servers. And, MM seems to care immensely for it's community. For that, I respect you guys. Long live MM! | 2010-03-17 20:19:00 Author: TheJollyRajah Posts: 466 |

Oh crab apples. The registration link they sent me isn't working. :c Curse you, servers! CURSE YOUUUUUU! | 2010-03-17 21:07:00 Author: GreyMRP Posts: 588 |
I'm trying to vote.. their server is busted. I guess we are crashing it pretty hard. last I saw it was 13 - 4 for Mm. Woo-hoo!!! | 2010-03-17 21:08:00 Author: cdubb024 Posts: 247 |
At first I was totally terrified between the mkaers of LBP and the makers of The BEATLES Rock Band. But as I listen to the Beatles as I type, I realize... they've been putting off Beatles DLC Albums. For the last 4 months. MM, you have my vote. | 2010-03-17 21:54:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
Now I think about it I'm not sure my vote was counted, does it come up with anything like "your vote has been counted"? Because it didn't with me... | 2010-03-17 21:57:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
Harmonix is winning by about 30%. I hope MM makes a comeback. | 2010-03-17 22:00:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
i was reading the post and for some reason believed that it would say something like 'so to persuade you, we've released this hella sweet new DLC! surprise!' but no. voting 4 harmonix b/c gitar hero rox!! | 2010-03-17 22:37:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |

So... you got the goods Mm, cause my vote ain't cheap. http://www.psu.com/media/articles/large_LBP-crown-thumb-large.jpg Just kidding. We a gonna win for sure. Sure they got the overly populated 900 billion Rock Band users, but we got something they don't... a walking sock! | 2010-03-17 23:28:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Just kidding. We a gonna win for sure. Sure they got the overly populated 900 billion Rock Band users, but we got something they don't... a walking sock! We also have the power to communicate with everyone who plays LBP, through the cool pages. Start spamming "Vote for MM" levels into the community folks. | 2010-03-17 23:32:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
Man, choosing between lbp and rock band is a tough call. They both have been keeping quality dlc coming and not over-pricing it. I'm totally hooked on lbp and I've spent more time playing it than any five games, but rock band is awesome and I love to break it out for parties and stuff. Ah, screw it. Gonna' vote for lbp. [edit] We also have the power to communicate with everyone who plays LBP, through the cool pages. Start spamming "Vote for MM" levels into the community folks. Did you really just suggest adding MORE crap levels to all the h4h's and bomb survivals? That does it: I'm voting for Harmonix now. Ok, not really, but still. | 2010-03-17 23:35:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
Did you really just suggest adding MORE crap levels to all the h4h's and bomb survivals? That does it: I'm voting for Harmonix now. Ok, not really, but still. Ever heard of a joke? Cause that wasn't one... | 2010-03-17 23:40:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
Right... but hey, that is a good idea (kind of). We just need to let the LBP community know about this contest. Think about it. Millions of people play LBP, so the community can give Mm that big boost. Besides, Harmonix is going to release the song "We are the Champions" if they win. | 2010-03-17 23:46:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
It wasn't meant as a joke. I was genuinely frustrated with your suggestion. | 2010-03-17 23:50:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
It wasn't meant as a joke. I was genuinely frustrated with your suggestion. Darn, we were so close to actually having a contest without arguements. | 2010-03-17 23:54:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
It wasn't meant as a joke. I was genuinely frustrated with your suggestion. And it was a joke.... End of story good bye! About getting this noticed, you could always politely message your friends? | 2010-03-17 23:55:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
I'm voting for MM,because harmonix is lame in my opinion. LittleBigPlanet VS. rockband Common people. | 2010-03-18 00:03:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |
I'm with kernel...i can't even vote for Mm when Final Fantasy was ANNOUNCED BUT NEVER DELIVERED....im gonna have to check out harmonix and see what they have on the table....idk i might not even vote for anybody....just remembering FF pack isn't around makes me too depressed to vote | 2010-03-18 00:04:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
And it was a joke.... You mean your comment was a joke? Um.... wouldn't it have to be funny for it to be a joke? Ever heard of a joke? Cause that wasn't one... So that must've been a "joke" too. That's hilarious. i can't even vote for Mm when Final Fantasy was ANNOUNCED BUT NEVER DELIVERED....im gonna have to check out harmonix and see what they have on the table....idk i might not even vote for anybody....just remembering FF pack isn't around makes me too depressed to vote So do you suppose that was a joke too? Cuz, if it is, it's almost as funny as the Doopz' jokes. hmm if you win will you release the Final Fantasy Costumes? if not i ain't voting Now see that one actually sounds like it's meant to be a joke. Actually, it's kind of a passive-aggressive half-joke: saying it like a joke, but you really partly mean it. As for the ff costume(s), I looked into it a few months back and the impression I got (though it wasn't said outright) was that Square Enix was responsible for it not happening, not Mm. | 2010-03-18 00:27:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
I vote for MM. Why? Because the people who own harmonix...RUINED SPYRO!! RAAAHHHH!!! RAGE TIEM I am kidding, but they really did ruin spyro >:| | 2010-03-18 00:37:00 Author: LordRattler Posts: 89 |
I can't get the link to work either.. trying something else... Done. Good luck, Mm! | 2010-03-18 02:44:00 Author: BabyDoll1970 Posts: 1567 |
I voted for MM... please register, my friends. I hate to sign up for anything, and even I went and supported it lol | 2010-03-18 06:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
Oh wow. I actually can't bring myself to vote in this lol. Both companies are amazing. I'm a huge fan of rock band AND the original guitar heroes, back when Harmonx was making em. Harmonix has doe such a great job releasing constant DLC for their game, and they're the ones who pioneered the modern music game genre. Yet at the same time MM is also a great company, which gave me the game I've spent more time on than any other. I can't decide! Why couldn't the competition be between Mm and Activision, possibly the most irritating gaming company ever made? That would simplify things a huge deal. Indecisiveness for the win. | 2010-03-18 06:37:00 Author: Duffluc Posts: 402 |
As for the ff costume(s), I looked into it a few months back and the impression I got (though it wasn't said outright) was that Square Enix was responsible for it not happening, not Mm. FF pack was never said to be cancelled at all...so idk who your source was but unless it's in the OFFICIAL littlebigplanet or Mm website...it's false and no mine wasn't a joke...though kernel's probably was...although idk why you think all comments are jokes..some could be serious...like mine was....but yeah like i said FF pack was never cancelled.... so my vote for a company that announce DLC almost 2 years ago and havent delivered...have lost my vote...and harmonix has rockband...that game is pretty sweet and there's always DLC on the market...they dont announce things and then dont deliver but thats if its voting for the company...if its for the game then LBP hands down...but this seems to be a vote for companies only....but to be honest maybe none of them will get my vote but yeah its not an attack on Mm...just to me they shoulda been more efficient with it...dont announce DLC unless you can deliver...or at least give us an update on it...not just leave it all hush hush...or be lazy with it...that being said...don't flame me for my opinion...just tired of it all | 2010-03-18 06:40:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Making DLC for a game like rockband = easy... artists/labels front the funds and have no reason to make legal red tape or hold things up, they collect royalties, and an hour or so of work has colored keys mapped out to the instrumentation. It's probably totally automated detection at this point... then they roll in dough and repeat. MM on the other hand... small, handcrafted individuality, and when they deliver, they deliver BIG time. Square was the hold up for FF DLC, not MM. | 2010-03-18 07:14:00 Author: Unknown User |

I would definitely vote for Mm but I don't fancy signing up and giving my details to a website I've never heard of in my life. I've been ripped off too many times before, not to mention all the junk email I get every time I sign up anywhere new. I also don't own a nervous little bird. Still if it were possible to vote by proxy then it would be Mm all the way for me. Also because I've never even heard of the other one. | 2010-03-18 13:40:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

Still if it were possible to vote by proxy then it would be Mm all the way for me. Also because I've never even heard of the other one. I signed up there and started posting there actually. It seems like a really placid and friendly community board so far... no trolling or harassment tolerated, and it's ok to ask repetitive questions. That's a HUGE plus for me, 'cause I don't even like seeing people get abused online. It's a semi-big game forum... I've heard of it before from going to 1up's site, but just never checked it out. | 2010-03-19 02:43:00 Author: Unknown User |

Yes. It ended today at noon (EST). I say it was an unfair match if you ask me! | 2010-03-20 21:02:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
WE LOST???!!! Probably because rock band and guitar hero are multi platform and we are only on PS3 (PSP was made by sony cambridge not MM) | 2010-03-22 20:23:00 Author: Unknown User |
I call for a re-match! Harmonix cheated, proof you ask? My proof that Harmonix cheated is that there's no possible way Mm could ever lose, so they must have cheated! | 2010-03-22 20:30:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
