If any of you are KH fans and have seen the KH levels on LBP then you, like me, are disgusted. The I remembered x-Nobody-x's Destiny Island level. Then I saw julseyjules' still ongoing Star Wars project. I got the inspiration to make a massive KH project. Story Donald and Goofy ask the Keyblade Sackboy to come with them in their Gummi Ship, telling him it's much better than a pod. I want to have a comedic approach to the levels like julseyjules, not taking the story too seriously. Levels With all my ideas I should have in the end 12 maxed out levels. I've been working on ideas for actually a year (lol) and I do think the levels should be a success. Bosses As all KH fans know, bosses are a big part of the game. From the Armour in Traverse Town to Captain Hook in Neverland, I've made them all. They are all unique and detailed, and ofcourse fun. Help Now, heres what I want to hear. Got any ieas? Comments? sounds quite awesome. Out of curiousity, is the keyblade going to be involved? I know sword fighting mechanics don't necessarily translate all too well in LBP, which is why i asked. Also, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay long ago, i made a KH level. Most of its not very good (i was just starting creating etc ), I've been told its rather hard, and a few items i used in the level are from Nobody. thanks for all your help! i've made a few characters (some i'm very proud of, some not so proud of) as for the keyblade, i saw quite a interesting technique! when you grab the sword (keyblade) paintballs come out. you have to get as close as you can with the sword to get the enemy's paint switch down. but ofcousre i couldn't do this technique the whole way through the project. there will be paintinators, underwater battles (Atlantica) jetpacks and brain bubbles so a battle never gets old! if any of you have made a KH character or anything like that send it to my PSN talbottrembler, or if you want to get involved! I have an idea. Ask people to contribute heartless. i.e. they can design their own! Or a contest, where the best ones are put in the levels (a la Wexfordian's retro robots) This is a simple way for people to help out. I asked for 22 dragons from the community and am currently at 21 so I think you'd do fine. Heck I'll make one anyway and add/send it to you. As far as gameplay goes: Gummi ship, great idea have a look at donkeyshow's mech levels. Keyblade, Look for jumpbutton's tutorial for their torch that is 'weightless'. I am sure players do not want to drag a keyblade behind them for a lot of the time. Costume tutorials are a must. Maybe do the little mermaid level, use water (duh) but also add a sort of rock band type thing for the songs. Summons, how 'bout you get stickers that activate 'summon spots'. thank you very much, Jedi_13! i had a gummi ship ship level ACTUALLY DONE but deleted it because of it being glitchy. i think i actually should do a competion, I'll do it later. as for little mermaid's world, i actually had that rock band idea in my head where you must grab the tunes on time. as for costume tutorials... if someone else would make them i'd use them but i really suck at tutorials. summons is something i actually forgot about (how i don't know) i'll definately include it somehow. The levels as a whole will be like a path, like at the end of the level you get a key for the next level idea. Hm, this sounds interesting... if you can complete it. Good luck :kz: So, for the Winnie the Pooh world... Have it be so that every torn page opens up a minigame that is played for a short amunt of time for one time and you can't restart it without restarting the level. that way you can't repeat any minigames for highscores, and will need all minigames for high scores. yeah. Then... that keyblade idea may get a bit annoying if it's like that for the whole thing... Hm. Yeah. Also... hm... nothing else to say right now XD. yep, i now have 6 minigames (so thats 6 torn pges, duh) at least thought about (thought about, not made) as for the keyblade, don't worry, there will be the paintinator action we all know and love! If I get some time, I'd like to help, but at the moment I don't get much time free, even then I am working on my Spyro project. KH is mostly about fighting, so you need to make the keyblade mechanics really, really good. And don't forget to put a lot of fighting to the levels. If I find the time, I may help, but Dragon Slayer keeps me pretty busy. | 2010-03-28 13:47:00 Author: Chamion B Posts: 124 |
As the levels go on, you couldn't always fight with the keyblade. It'd get boring! For the project there are a number of keyblade ideas for battles, but some of the battles are just gonna have to paintinator specific. Ofcourse the keyblade will be used well, just not all the time! As for levels, there will be 14. This might change but for now, you can expect 14 highly developed levels. I've taken a lot of time thinking about world-specific gameplay so a gameplay idea never reappears in another level. And another thing I should point out is that the levels are played in a linear fashion, like the key at the end of the level unlocks the next (like story mode). I'm always looking for new creators to help so PM me or contact me on PSN. Remember, everyone is welcome whether they make a character or help with the levels! Just a quick note... Neverland in Kingdom Hearts never actually appears (you have to stay on Hook's boring old boat). In the most recent KH game Birth by Sleep (which the japanese at the minute only have) Neverland, as an island, appears. Just playing on old, cooky Hooky's ship would be boring (so you know whats next) Neverland will feature in the Project. Skull Rock, The Indians Camp, the forest and Hook's old boat will be all playable. Expect things to change in the project. To avoid boredom, not everything will be the same as the game! Oh, yeah! i only have kh 2 but i can help you if you want, here's my ID : Haru- i got a idea for magical stuff and fight using a following sack system on the respawn and fix a paintinator on the respawn for magic attack then, doing the same thing on a wooden or other "menu" in the air, and when you shoot on the icons it will switch on some magic effect and kill a heartless for the physics attack, juste be able to grab the heartless (who is made in foluble stuff) and then pouf! the heartless dissapears/dies or using some basical brains, but that's not a sword fight | 2010-03-30 17:34:00 Author: Haru- Posts: 55 |

I wanted to have full control of what goes into the levels, but now I understand, if I'm ever to release the levels before 2012 (y'know, I want to get the levels out before the world ends) some of the community will have to make a few levels. I've made a huge mistake! I've made a thread about this project which is hardly started. I've had to update regulary with stupid pieces of information. Look at the front page. Thats how much I knew what I was doing! I hadn't got a clue! So, in a few days I'll ask CC, or another mod to lock this thread. But don't think the project is over. It's far from that! It's beginning! I've finally did a huge list of things in the project, which I will send to all people involved soon. Thanks for all your help, guys! By guys, I mean the few that replied Quickly post, PM me or add me on PSN if you want to get involved. I need to start the right way, so the deadline is next week. I've also got a competition coming up, so watch out for it.
