(lbw3) malibu water sports

(LBW3) MALIBU WATER SPORTSfenderjt
Malibu is based on an exotic beach with sport activities.
(I hope its ok to post this here, even though its for the LBW competition?)

I made this level for the LBW3 Monthly contest, the theme was "Sport".

I had soooo much fun creating this level and I hope people have fun playing it too!

In total there are 10 events! Mostly to do with water

I used the 3D glitch in the level but not as much as I usually would. I wanted the level to look open!

I have placed a character throughout the level who will guide you along your way, she also will try to make you laugh! (I love adding humour to levels!)

This level is not just any old sports level...it has a twist to it. I don't want to give away to much but lets just say the sport activities are not like they should be...

I have also included real rain in the level, I was messing about in create mode as we all do and discovered how to make rain!!!
At first I was using the simple method of making rain by having a piston on a but if material splashing up and down into the water but then I discovered a better solution so im using that!

I wanted to make the level exciting and different so I hope I have achieved this!

The level is for 1-4 players. I hope you all get the feeling to play it again after you've played it once as I want everyone to have fun! Bring back your friends to challenge them on the activities!

I know most people will be saying this....I hope I win! Fingers crossed!

P.s I know this level is not perfect but I did try my best, the thermo was also quite high and by the end I couldn't fit anything in really.

GREAT level!! Loved the attention to detail with the palm trees and beachy furniture. The games were fun. The whole concept was original. I played it twice under khalima523. 5 stars heart and brilliant tag. Don't know how to do it without dying going from one area to the next. Someone left a comment that they were able to do this level without dying. hmmmm, gonna have to try it again, lol. The camera angles were just fine, someone left a comment about that, but you must have fixed it, I saw nothing unusual about the angles. It flowed nicely. The rain was very novel. My only thought about what could be fixed, and this is soooo minor I hate to mention it, but I thought the final scoreboard was hard to read. Maybe tone down the background a bit. Thanks for playing it! Its impossible to play the whole level without dying, obviously they are lying to tease people lol!
I havent adjusted the angles, i thought they were fine...
I did notice the scoreboard at the end was bright, can you no see the scores then? That can be easily changed, i will sort it out next time im on. Thank you again 		2010-03-16 17:19:00

This is a really fun level right the way to the end Theres alot of cool little things in it, especially the running part near the beggining ( i have no idea how you've done that). Nice use of the layer glitch as usual, but not too much that it takes you away from all the cool events you take part in

Overall a great level all round, i dont recall seeing a level like it before.

Okay, played this last night with my friend! Was a lot of fun! I enjoyed all the different events, each one had a uniqueness to it that kept the level fun 'n' fresh. I particularly enjoyed the high speed dash, triple jump, and weight lifting games lol. XD

I actually didn't realize you released another level - I found it on cool levels last night while doing my periodic lament on how horrible cool levels has become.... but this one was REALLY fun. Some great glitch use, great gameplay, and a lot of personality (you got quite a few smiles out of me).

I gave it 5 stars and a heart - really creative stuff and definately your best gameplay so far.		2010-03-18 14:28:00

Very fun level. I really enjoyed all the different challenges - the gameplay was varied and included some cool ideas. I particularly liked the running and jumping challenges.

Great humour too. The bit with the sand in the eyes and the weight lifting genuinely made me laugh out loud.

I was not sure though whether it was intentional that you can, if you have the patience/can be bothered, get 1 million points from the very first challenge in the level. I only realised this when I finished my first run through and saw that some people had points totals hugely bigger than mine so I went back to investigate.

That was a fun level and congratulations on making a spotlight in this site. The sports obstacles are enjoyable and the level design feels like I'm in a beach. The dialogue is also quite clever and humorous. Funny and fun.2010-03-21 19:52:00
