LOL... You know the story Morgana... The PS3 (and the GameCube before it, and the Sega/Genesis before it) were toys for my kids before I picked up and started playing LBP. In fact, I just had a conversation with a coworker yesterday. He was asking about LBP, "So when you say it's a side scroller, is it like Sonic and Mario Bros?" I had a hard time answering because, while I know those titles and have seen them played, I really don't have any experience with another game (aside from Madden) on which to base a good comparison. And don't knock Madden!! It's a great game!

Shadow of the collosus Final Fantasy 7 (Honorable mention FF 10) and well this released after LBP but Monster hunter Freedom Unite and the prequels (The first game to pull me away from LBP considerably) Also this is much later but i feel obliged to mention Heavy Rain, I love that game.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence... gaming heaven... would love a Blu-Ray release of the first 3 MGS games... would be awesome! 3 has the best story and the best characters IMO, especially the Boss. And Peace Walker seems to show flashbacks of MGS3 and seems to play like a mix between MGS3 and 4... it's gonna be epic!

While it was prettymuch the last PS2 game I bought, Shadow of the Colossus also basically was my favorite game on the platform. Never played its predecessor Ico but I hope that The Last Guardian captures that same epic quality (albeit with a different premise as to be expected).
