Ideas for Obstacles?

| I've been making a level and a difficult thing for me so far is designing obstacle the player must complete to proceed. I have no problem making them if I understand them I just can't THINK of any... I want somthing that nobody else has done you know? A trap door with spikes at the bottom? No way, that's been way over done. Jumping over fire? BORING. But I just can't think of good obstacles. It's really got me stuck.
