if you have a game stuck in when your ps3 dies i had lbp stuck in there. There is a way of getting the disk out

step 1 flick off the switch on back
step 2 hold the power button and disk eject button together
step 3 flick on back switch while holding the buttons this may cause the ps3's fan to go crazy
step 4 wala disk comes out i got my lbp disk out doing this i was so happy saves me 60$

i hope this works for anyone that has that problem

We all have our smug moments of my console works because I take good care of it and they inevtably betray us and die suddenly.

We took really good care of our PS3 and still it got YLOD.

@ WESFUN - pleased this worked for you but it didn't for us. Luckily, Sony did send us our LBP disc back, once they had wrenched it open, but after about six weeks!
