Moving motor bolts while paused!
Archive: 13 posts
Check this out! ..I was messing around in create and in pause when I noticed some motor bolts still moving. It was wacky enough I had to capture it and upload a video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMFhkxLsASw | 2010-03-12 20:24:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
you actually broke the game. | 2010-03-12 20:34:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |
I've had things like this happen before. For me it was usually related to the "emitter firing in pause mode" bug. Whenever my mechs would get emitted this way, they would act just like they would in unpaused mode, and since they're fairly complex objects they were always a chore to clean up afterwards. | 2010-03-12 20:38:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |

I suspect in my case it was possibly from capturing a room with live emitting objects while in play mode. Can't exactly remember as I had put this in another workshop quite awhile ago. While playing around today on something else in that workshop, I just happened to notice them spinning and decided to record as I found it pretty funny. | 2010-03-12 23:34:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Thanks for sharinng jwwphotos. That's quite interesting, I didn't know that was even possible but theres always a first time i guess. I think i'll keep a close eye on my creations in the future, especially my logic. | 2010-03-13 00:00:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |

It's even more fun with plasma balls. Normally when in play mode, plasma balls explode on contact with anything, but if they get emitted in pause mode by a bugged emitter, they'll fly out and start sliding against whatever they crash into instead of exploding, ending up all over the place. I can't tell you how much fun it is hunting for stray plasma balls at every corner of the level when you realize they've been emitted in pause mode. | 2010-03-13 01:35:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
lol - that's too weird! I'd probably freak out if that happened to me. Glad it doesn't seem like a huge problem but yea, your right - it is sort of funny! | 2010-03-13 02:13:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Wow! How odd! However, it was funny.. all it needed to be perfect was some microphone dialogue from you saying "Wait.. what? What's going on? WHAT'S GOING ON??!!!!". In my opinion, anyway. Thanks for sharing | 2010-03-13 04:00:00 Author: BabyDoll1970 Posts: 1567 |
