Hey, they're making the same number of BF titles and Call of Duty titles! Just look at Guitar Hero. They have like, what, over 12 games out?!

Anyway, I think it's cool to make a game about the Vietnam war, but I heard they were making another Modern Warfare game, under Treyarch or Activision, not Infinity Ward.

They can't make another Modern Warfare without Infinity Ward according to their contract. In fact they can't make any game based in the post-Vietnam era. IW were contracted to make the 2nd MW. Now IW are free to decide whether they want to expressive themselves creatively or make another MW, which they apparantly don't really enjoy creating at such a speed any more. Undoubtedly Activision will push for another MW though.

COD7 is rumoured to be set in the Vietnam era and will be made by Treyarch, then in 2011 Sledgehammer Games will be releasing another COD. If IW do decide to make a third MW game, it'll probably be targeted for 2012.

Yeah it would be kind of weird if IW made another Modern Warfare game, but you never know. The Vietnam war idea is very exciting, and I'm glad someone is actually making a good game about it. Yeah, it would probably be released in 2012, because then they would be rushing it if it was released any earlier.

by a landslide.

It turns out that the one being made by Sledgehammer Games isn't going to be like the others. It's being labeled as an "action adventure" which means it may not even be first person. Action adventure is a pretty loose term though so it could be anything.2010-03-16 19:27:00

I hate the way theyre two different companies at the same Game series. It's confusing the crap out of all the uninformed people.2010-03-16 23:48:00

It's not really confusing, seeing that one sticks to the past, while the other sticks to more "modern" wars.

As for this game itself, rumor has it that a new zombies mode will be on it. It makes more sense than the "Modern Warfare 2 Zombies" that speculated about, because Treyarch is making this game, not Infinity Ward. Treyarch creating Nazi Zombies, the zombie survival mode in Call of Duty: World At War. The DLC released for said game made great profit for Treyarch, yet they stop at the debut of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. So with that, it kind of makes sense for a new zombies mode to be involved.

And Activision (the Call of Duty series publisher) will indeed push on for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The massive money it makes is a good reason for Activision to use the hype to gain even more money. Infinity Ward probably saw this type of thing going to happen, which is why they made such a big cliffhanger ending in their last game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Jokes aside, in my opinion:

Activision > Infinity Ward x20

However, I hope activision keeps its style instead of copying infinity ward's cheap explosion/flank/cutscene crap that made them rich :'(

lol, so Activision and Infinity Ward are fighting it out?

COD 7: Game Company Warfare

Activision publishes the games, while Inifity Ward makes them. So they're not really fighting. If they are, then it's because Infinity Ward is going to become an independent company. They were going to become one, but seeing as though 50% of people recognized Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 only because of Call of Duty was inserted into the name, they decided not to.

Oh, and I think they're fighting with Treyarch instead. I think they're releaseing Call of Duty: Companies At War.

I just like Infinity Ward better because they don't make other crappy games like Guitar Hero or something else. And the Modern Warfare series is AWESOME.2010-03-20 04:37:00
