DualShock3 vs Sixaxis and the effect on gameplay...
Archive: 10 posts
I recently got my Dualshock 3 from amazon ($40! tax free!) and finally booted up Warhawk to play with it for the first time... Let me say first off, that the controller feels solid. Give your 'ole sixaxis a good squeeze and notice how flimsy it feels. The build and the weight of the controller are PERFECT. Holding it in your hands no longer feels like you're not holding anything. The analogue sticks also feel a bit more responsive and are sunk down a bit. Now back to the game play, I was shocked to realize that I was missing so much without the force feedback. Really. It made the game so much better. Shooting the gun felt awesome, sniping was 100X more enjoyable, and any explosion rattled the controller. This is the perfect controller, (well beside the horrid L2 R2 triggers). Shame on Sony for not including this to begin with! Anyway, enough of me, how many have a DS3 and noticed the same thing I did? Is it really that big a deal like I'm making it out to be? Anyone else have a similar 'awakening' with this controller like I had? Thoughts? | 2008-09-30 22:26:00 Author: LightGrenades Posts: 218 |

I got my ds3 on import back in april, couldn't be bothered to wait for a UK date. Was well worth it for GTA 4 and MGS 4. | 2008-09-30 23:13:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |

Is it seriously worth it? If you need an extra controller its definitly worth it. uuu.... a controller is a controller... its not like wow i got a new keybourd with a fridge in it... noncense Its all about what you want in your controller, while the Sixaxis and DS3 look the same the DS3's rumble, more solid feel and triggers that don't go off if you breathe on them make it a must have for alot of PS3 owners. | 2008-10-01 09:17:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |

Rumble can be turned off if you don't like the way it works in a particular game. | 2008-10-01 09:24:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |
