Awesome news Mnimmo! That is very exciting stuff. I was bummed about the fact that the award sticker was accidentally given out free to a bunch of people, but I think that they handled the blunder perfectly! It's sad that the crowns have gotten so common on LBP PS3, and I sort of wished that maybe they would hand out different tiers of crowns, very rare ones for amazing achievements, and then not-so-valuable ones for when your parents decorate your room in an awesome LBP fashion and they post it on the Mm blog. The first time I read the whole post, I thought that these 5 stickers would be given to 5 people who already have made levels that Cambridge really likes. Then, after reading it a few times, I realized that they are saying that they will have 5 types of stickers that they personally will give to creators that they deem worthy (is this how you guys understand it?). So will this be like when Mm crowns someone for simply making an awesome level? If so, this could be really neat since they are saying that they will be doing it for 5 different categories of level. Not only will the sticker show that you had a huge achievement, but it will also show what exactly you are good at. So what do you think, will these 5 special sticker be handed out to awesome levels (maybe levels that are Featured), or will they be given away mainly in competitions that are run by Cambridge (while the standard Gold Sticker will be given away in community competitions)?

sucks for me i dont think i have any artistic talent on me so im not deemed worthy of the new star sticker well looks like im not going to be in any contests.. THANKS SONY FOR RUINING EVERYTHING FOR ME!!!!! (goes to throw out my lbp now) sony u guys really suck now

We still don't really know what kind of contests they're going to hold, or how they're going to be organized, so it's a little premature to be making those kinds of statements. Besides, you shouldn't sell yourself short. I'm still competing in the "Vincent van Sticker" contest here even though I know I'm not going to win (I'm not an art person either). Don't worry about winning; if the contest interests you just go for it. The one way to become better at something is to try to push your own limits and learn. Giving up is the easy way out.

I really hope it is just given out for making an awesome level, I'm not much for contests. I think that's maybe what the 'other' stickers are for. The Superstar sticker is for contests, as pointed out in the OP quote.

That's what all the trolls say, so you just proved BlueBullitBill right! But since your reputation is still green, I'll respond and ask you: You won't play tennis because you think you won't win a grand slam, and you get mad at Wimbledon for it? You won't take physics lessons because you think you won't win the Nobel prize and you get mad at Einstein for it? Sony is making the effort of giving away prizes to motivate people to become better at creating. Better creators means better levels for all of us. And you sure won't win any competition by not entering at all.

Don't worry about winning; if the contest interests you just go for it. The one way to become better at something is to try to push your own limits and learn. Giving up is the easy way out.I couldn't have said it better myself. LBP is all about fun and learning, and hey if there's a slim chance you may get a prize some day then cool! For the record, I've never won a prize in LBP for anything. (Note: I did tie for first in CyberSora's "first LBP PSP level" contest, but the exp award has yet to be given because the system is still down.)
