A group of players competing against each other to win a forum Premium Bundle and a $5.99 or less piece of DLC of their choice from the US amazon.com store! For those of you who didn't know, for two seasons, 16 people from the LBPC community have been playing a LBP version of Survivor - competing in challenges, voting each other out, all leading up to one person becoming the Sole Survivor. A new game has started! This time around, we're taking the best players from seasons 1 and 2 with functioning PS3's and throwing in a handful of fresh blood to crown the ultimate Survivor: LBP champion. Regular Game Format: Once we get all of the players, I'll divide them into teams. Every 2-3 days there will be a challenge where the teams face off and the losing team must vote one of their own out of the game. Players will each be invited to their team's group page. There, they can interact with fellow teammates and get all of the latest updates on the game. Once a good portion of players have been eliminated (exact number to remain secret until it happens), the teams will merge and competitions will then become individual. The winner of these individual challenges gets immunity from being voted off. All remaining players will vote for one of those remaining. Once we get down to the final two, the seven most recently eliminated players (9th-3rd Place) will each cast a vote for who they want to win. Most votes in the final vote becomes the Sole Survivor. Rules and format for each challenge will be presented to the players following each vote. Other variations may occur and will be explained to the players as the game progresses. Doesn't LBP max out at 4 players? Since LBP maxes out at 4 players, I've devised challenges that will work around that limitation. Some challenges will have the individual contributions of each team's members adding up to a whole, some will have head to head battles, some will require 2-3 from a team working together. Videos and descriptions of Season 1 and 2's team challenges are available on the official Survivor: LBP website @ christinaspartyrentals.net/survivor Want in? Here's what you need to do. Post in this thread saying that you want to play. Once you do, I'll send you an invite to the Survivor: LBP2 group and a questionnaire to fill out. Join the group and send back the completed questionnaire and you'll be accepted into the trial. Since we've got most of our players from the previous 2 seasons, potential new recruits will need to play a few levels with me so I can get a feel for their skill level. However, there are some requirements for potential players: Be willing to play a few levels with me as a part of the trial so that I can personally see what you're capable of. Once the players are chosen, you must let me know who, if any of the players you have a preexisting relationship with. Be willing to check the forum at least once a day and play in a challenge once every 2-3 days. Be willing to stick with this game for as long as you're still in it. If this starts right away, we'll probably end sometime in mid April. Be able to take in game screenshots and either post them online or send them to me. Be able to respond to messages and group posts in a timely manner. Be willing to follow the rules of a given challenge. Be willing to follow the rules of the overall game. Finally, while this isn't a requirement, it will be beneficial for anyone playing to use Yahoo messenger or any other compatible service. Since there isn't a chat feature on the site any more, this will help everyone keep in touch much, much easier... They are no real limits to who can join this game. Please be somewhat coherent and have at least some grasp of how to play LBP. I also advise anyone who wishes to play to look up the basics of Survivor. As I said before, the winner gets a forum Premium Bundle and a piece of PSN DLC of their choice costing $5.99 or less from the US amazon.com store. For those who don't know, premium bundles allow forum users to drastically increase their private message storage limit, increase the size of their signature pictures, and change their titles from lint or patch of cloth to anything they want. | And we're live! er.... well.... sort of... This time around, we've got 3 teams of 6. Each round, the first place team is safe from the vote and gets a clue to a hidden immunity idol, second is just safe from the vote, and third place will vote someone out of their team. Website is up and has the video from the first two runs. | ^^ LOL! I've watched a fair few of the videos from round 1 and that was a great first challenge. I was getting a knot in my stomach just watching people struggling with those spinning rollers. I can?t imagine what it must have been like to be playing! Kudos to littlebigdude who?s the only person I've seen so far make it over them on his first attempt ? awesome!
