I have noticed that lots of members from the August-October 2009 have only one bar of rep, while some members from january 2010 have two bars of rep? Its not really bothering me, but I wanted to get this out there.

You know, I joined in September, and I have two bars of rep. I really don't think a problem has occured, because some members who have joined since 2010 are actually quite helpful (Sehven, for example).

I can promise you there is no mistake with anything. It is indeed the fact others may be being more helpful than you. That's not anything you can't change though, there's plenty of ways to earn rep. Give level reviews in the level showcase. Help people with problems they may have. (Check the help section) Be funny. And there's loads more, but whatever you do, never ask for rep .

how many points makes 2 bars ? 100 rep points. So with only 202 posts, it's quite possible that deviantgeek hasn't received enough rep for his second bar. how many points makes 2 bars ? and whats the difference between thanks and rep ? Normally it is like 100 to the next bar till you hit like 6 or so. After that the rate per bar increases quite a bit. Thanks is like 1 point and rep depends on who gave it to you. The more rep someone has, the more rep points given.

So for example if rtm and I were to rep you, you would get far much more rep from rtm because I have far less rep then rtm. So I would say giving rep is if they've done something really good and thanks if they've done something quite good. EDIT: jww beat meh to it

I thought this thread was an error in the VB4.0 system but clearly i was mistaken, but ye i think one of the main reasons is that half the people on this site don't know how to use ghe rep or thanks system, i was saying earlier today that i thought these sigs where awesome and better than all of ours, and in reply i lost 6 rep points, was really peed at this and it got me really annoyed, i think the main problem is that people don't know how to use the rep system correctly. So i guess we have to live with it. I have coming up to 800 posts on this site and i have a measley 86 rep points, when i have tried to be as helpful as i can. So ye you just need to work hard like doopz said.

In all honesty, I think you shouldn't base a person's experience and/or personality off of the rep they have. I mean, look at me for example; I may only have 3 bars of rep, but I've been around here WAAAY longer than KernelM and Doopz have. Yet, they have more (perhaps due to my computer crashing most of the time... -_-&apos. So if you're worried about a few green bars, just chill. At least you're not worrying about something like "xp"... Oh, and Rock... COUNT ME IN!! :kz:
