Virtual Reality Survival Challenge v2.5 by v0rtex2002

OK - I wasn't sure where to put this, as I don't really want to submit it to the level showcase threads. And I feel kinda silly even putting it here - "suggesting" my own level. But I've just released a new version of my popular survival challenge and I thought there may some interest. The thing is... there's only one new room in it. I've managed (with some brilliant advice from rtm223) to realize much more of the thermo, and therefore squeeze several more rooms into one level. So what I've done is to recycle rooms from both of my previously published versions. I've reversed a few of them, shuffled their order, and added one new one to keep it at least a little bit fresh. Anyway... because it's mostly recycled rooms, I don't feel the need for a lot of feedback, and I certainly don't want it in the run for the Spotlight, so I chose to post it here.

Virtual Reality - Survival Challenge 2.5 by v0rtex2002
New thermo-saving design has allowed me to add more rooms. This one is a combination of v1 & v2 rooms. Make your way through each room before your time expires and the next room drops down around you. The longer you stay alive, the less time you'll have.

You're killing me, man!!! I played version 2 about 100 times, and by reversing some of the rooms, you just about gave me a brain aneurism last night.

Great stuff, really.... I just have to RETRAIN EVERY MOVE MY SACKBOY MAKES AFTER GETTING INTO A ZEN-LIKE FLOW FROM THE PREVIOUS GAME ** pop **

Loved it, but daaaang reversing the rooms!! No fair!! Especially I think room 8, with the 3 sprung bolt type platforms. I swear I kept going the wrong way every time for the chicken switch and wondering why that empty huge canyon was under me. lol!!

Much fun for sure...

This could be challenging. Looks like I'll have to use my super secret weapon again to dominate this one, allowing me to attain a state of heightened focus and strategy.

Maybe if I have the time I'll secretly go back to reclaim the #1 spot in the previous incarnations like a ninja. Wait, did I say that out loud?

LOL- Excellent... I knew it would tweak a few brain cells. Partly I did it to keep things fresh, but also out of necessity. The rooms have to fit together like puzzle pieces. So I had to get a bit creative. In fact one room (I call it the bumble-bee room) had to have a destination platform removed (which was a tough decision, because it was a really fun 2x part), and in another (the blue/fire room) I added one. But flipping the rooms was fun - I wanted to flip them all (except the symmetrical ones), but it didn't work out.

Haha - That would be awesome!

I hit a score of 240k on this new one, without even breaking a sweat. It wouldn't surprise me to see 400K + on single player. I wonder if multi-player could hit a million... Mr. & Mrs. Vista hit 800k + on the prior, so I think it would be doable.

Have fun!! I'm working on putting the contestant rooms together, and also on an all-new version of my own!

I'll admit it, you threw us for a bit with the reversing and new order of rooms. However, we faced the challenge and are proud to announce that Adipose and Clariepose are once again 1st place for 2 player in V2.5 WOOHOOOOO!

Awright!! Congrats!

You two (and Mr. and Mrs. V, and Morgana) are like junkies to my back-alley dealer. Silly me... I should've mentioned, the first play is free... after that...

EDIT: BTW... Has anyone besides Morgana, Ungreth, and myself experience the level-breaking bug in v2.5?
I'm working on trying to fix it, but I can't consistently reproduce it.

Well, I'm quite certain that I've fixed the bug, so no more worries there (let me know though if you see anything outta whack). I saw your score. Very impressive.

Gilg, I had to go and beat that score (finally). I died foolishly too... I really think I could have had so much more if I hadn't been so greedy!

A ha, not bad. I'd started to wonder what was going on with this challenge. Unfortunately I'm still in the midst of doing missions in FFXIII, and I'll need to get reacquainted with the rooms. So enjoy having the #1 spot for now.

I never really achieved anything even remotely good in the other ones, but I love them all the same! Brilliant level! I actually think you might have laced it with something...
