the meat-room concept

sorry, but vegetarianism is like a disease which manifests itself everywhere (this is a veggie speaking) so i was going to make a level called the meat room, where sackboy is about to be made into tasty sacon. To escape you must escape using paintinators, other sackboys to temporarily stall the machine and cunning. This might fail as soon as it starts but im drawing out some ideas and it should be fun. any thoughts/ ideas?2010-03-06 13:10:00

otther sackboys? you mean killing your friends to get the highest score? COOL! oh and you should have some platformy moving bits too (swinging off sasuages etc) while they are on a conveyor!2010-03-06 13:14:00

It sounds like a good idea, but if your vegetarian why would you call it a disease.

And also watch out saying your a vegetarian on the internet because people will start talking about meat, ive looked at whos online and i'm guessing cue Rocksauron.

fine its not a disease. nice point actually. the sackboys im torn between making it multiplayer and/or making little card sackboys which can die in many more different ways. i was thinking maybe a crusher?2010-03-06 13:30:00

It should be multiplayer IMO.
I agree with Kernel. Killing other players would be fun. :eek:

but do you think it should have little card people also, just so the card person can go in, get crushed and come out as bits of sacon, just for the purpose of the ending of the intro. - lol love that face. oh and the crushere idea, basically this big blocks BBBB BBBB like that with gas underneath, can only be passsed if they are crushing something, P2= player 2 BBBBP2BBBB then player 1 can walk over the top.2010-03-06 15:09:00

Thats not what i think you should do, you should have a conveyor belt with bits of meat etc heading towards a "SCONE" (Slicer Cutter Obliterator 'Neader Experiment) which will slow the conveyor for a few seconds when a sackperson is eaten nom nom nom.2010-03-06 18:54:00

Maybe make it like the survival challenge from the metropolis story mode. You could have one conveyor in the front where sackboy plays, with a food processor at one end. And whenever someone is caught in it, not only slow the conveyor down but give everyone else a point bonus too - just to annoy the sacon-to-be.2010-03-06 22:30:00

great idea! I'm gonna use that but i need lots more trap ideas, it's going to be more of a level than a survival challeng, but maybe ill make one too.

I do not think you should use other sack people... that is kind of morbid. I think that you should stall the machines by shooting chunks of frozen meat that are moving above you down onto a convey leading into the meat grinder. Don't forget the cheesy fake bloodstains. Also, you need flamethrowers and giant rotating saw blades. (They are in the Monster pack) If I were you, I would have parts were you have to hang from moving meat and swing from side to side to avoid flame throwers. There could even be a freezer section with slick floors... and... I have spent too much time on this already. By the way, to any vegetarian faced with "Just pick the meat off!", simply say "If there was feces on your food, would you just pick that off?" ...I'm not vegetarian, but I think that it doesn't matter if one eats meat or not.2010-03-07 01:25:00

Right, git the whole level and story planned. Basically it starts off in a nice grassy field with trees and flowers etc etc, then it tests that you have two people (by this sort of swing-puzzle thing), then you notice this big billboard advertising SACON, mmm... tasty.
So you go into this little factory, because you want some sacon, and you end up in a cage inside a truck. So then you go along for a while, cue more sacon signs, then the truck tips all the cages out into a whole in the ground, they all land on a conveyor which is marching into a SCONE. THen as you are about to be killed the conveyer breaks and your cage falls onto the cement and breaks. The level starts in a nice clean factory and through it you eat some lovely sacon which is on the floor, gaining points. Then as you are still walking through the clean and white factory you notice a conveyer, cages going in one end... ... and SACON coming out the other!!!So you go through all these various kill-your-friend-traps when finally you escape, shutting down the building as you do so, then, you wake up in a white room in a large cage, with scientists yelling at eachother "who let him out?" etc etc. then finally one says "he blew up his own factory you know!" cue end. :star:
any thoughts?
