I need to calm down
Archive: 41 posts
*hears everybody nod their heads* I dont get why, But on the psn I am the sugar spice, everything nice with added whipped cream, chocolate mouse and love sprinkled all over the surface.. I know most of you dont believe it, but (most of) the people on my PSN can vouche for that. I dont know if its lbpc itself, the people on the forum.. or (probably) just me.. but I am unable to stay cheerfull, happy and positive on this forum. I must have offended nobody, steve, vista (and probably some moderators) in that process and I apologize for that. I need to calm down. So.. besides posting a level here when its done, I will relieve some of my (and some of your) stress by not getting involved in most of the forum topics (contest related etc). And try to stay more on the BG for now. Ill go (and stfu) for two weeks, If thats going along fine ill probably make a month of it. To give you some visual aid on how I reacted: This is how I should react: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs48/f/2009/216/3/7/37c79015af09f0da110e0e52f59319a8.jpg And this is how I am reacting: http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs50/f/2009/257/2/7/271552b9708c6515cd26ad75d23cd06e.jpg So for now, a big hug for people I offended.. *puts some relaxing music on* *sits in lotus position* *Breathes deep* | 2010-03-05 11:49:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |
It's not rocket science Luos, for a lot of people the site is built on being a friendly place where you can give/receive constructive and practical feedback. Criticizing or making digs at other peoples work for no other reason than you don't like it, or feel your work is better helps absolutely no-one. That said, you've made tutorials threads/vids, and made many helpful comments since you've joined, you only seem to rant when the subject is the OC competition. It obviously brings out the competitor in you. | 2010-03-05 13:00:00 Author: julesyjules ![]() Posts: 1156 |
...jules nailed it on the head Luos. ![]() I think you are an amazingly talented individual and have been very helpful and thoughtful in several threads as well as some really great tutorials. Your pics of your 3dsmax work were unbelievable and blew me away. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to have your arms debilitated to the state that you have said in another thread because of that same work. That in itself has to be horribly frustrating. I sincerely wish all the best for you and a hopeful recovery. As jules said, it seems most of your rants have been on the OC thread as well as some of the OC entries level threads, at least the ones I have noticed. One thing that might help you out a bit is regardless of what you think or react, don't post until you have calmed down. You seem to be horribly critical of others at those times, but don't for one moment take in consideration that they are humans as well as what age they might be. Possibly when you are on PSN, you are nicer because you see a moving sackboy, but here you just see words on a screen and fail to recognize that there are real humans on the other side of those words. We are all here to learn, share our experiences, enjoy the comradery, as well as our perspectives to each others work. Be nice, thoughtful, and caring. Would you want to hear criticism from someone that is whacking you in the head and screaming, or good feedback from one that is patient, caring and supportive? I pick B every time. ![]() My suggestion.. make your comments in notepad and get whatever angst out of your system. Wait until you have calmed down and reread that comment, then rewrite it with a clearer more thoughtful mindset. Most of the time, you can still make your point, but do it in a constructive and more considerate manner. It may take a bit more time, but in all honesty the damage control that you have to do like this thread as well as the apologies take much longer than simply allowing yourself time to calm down and make a thoughtful and helpful post. Good luck and all the best. ![]() | 2010-03-05 13:43:00 Author: jwwphotos ![]() Posts: 11383 |

Hey luos now worries, many people get more bold when.. say they are writing a comment as opposed having a pleasant gaming session. I nice that u have taken the liberty to make a apology thread and I commend u for that. Personally, don't get too flustered with all these peeps who can get on your nerves. "Now breath deeply and extend to backwards dog postition" Ive been stuck in that position for 6 days no. Finally got free! I took some time off from the forum, as my bro is hogging the ps3 I had some time relaxing, enjoying some sunlight (that isnt created in lbp) and had a few good days of rest. | 2010-03-16 20:12:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |
[grammar nazi referring to sig] I was told that you don't have to type an 's after something ending on -s or -x, just ' will do. [/grammar nazi referring to sig] | 2010-03-16 21:02:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Yea.. I kinda noticed that a few days ago while playing FF13... Atm I dont care for it, but I will pay change it in any future sigs. | 2010-03-16 22:37:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |

Since I'm so perfect (sarcasm), I'll lend my advice. To grammar nazi's: Let it go. To luos: Let it go. The best thing to do is just to keep looking forward. When you look back, you trip. You know, water under the bridge and all that stuff. Now if I could only follow my own advice I'd be golden. | 2010-03-22 06:14:00 Author: Jomosapien ![]() Posts: 24 |

Ya, I have to say you are way out of line with what you said on the Christian Gamers thread. What's your problem? He was minding his own business and you have to start making curt remarks about religion. | 2010-03-22 18:25:00 Author: Incinerator22 ![]() Posts: 3251 |
Ok, I dont think that bringing up a past mistake is what Luos was aiming for when he wrote this apology thread, the past is the past and etc. | 2010-03-22 23:40:00 Author: damaz10 ![]() Posts: 771 |
He did that a few days after making this thread. | 2010-03-24 03:49:00 Author: Incinerator22 ![]() Posts: 3251 |
hence the remark, im trying! *couchs loudly to start quoting myself* “If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? If we are like you in the rest, we will resemble you in that” Oh wait.. that was not me, this is: Its not fully working yet, But I am trying http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/../images/smilies/1/smile.gif Personally I have nothing with religion, lets just keep it at that. What's your problem? I often talk before I think. so there you have it, my problem on a silver platter! lets eat! | 2010-03-25 12:36:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |
I don't think LBP Central is a very good site to let all of your emotions flow out on. Say if your depressed, scared, angry, hurt, or mentally ill, LBP Central isn't a good site for that. Just talk to your parents or closest relative. And by the way, how can you hear people nod their heads? | 2010-03-27 05:44:00 Author: Shockwave4 ![]() Posts: 200 |
I don't think LBP Central is a very good site to let all of your emotions flow out on. Not really my problem lol, and looking at the offtopic etc, I can tell that there is a lot of emotive talking, also looking at a lot of blogs.. I notice a lot of emotive talking.. So.. you might think its not that good for it, but for a lot of people it is. Just talk to your parents or closest relative. at a certain age, you cannot talk about everything thats bothering you with your parents. Also, besides my brother and mom, all my family died. (dont worry, its okay!) how can you hear people nod their heads? You just did! ![]() | 2010-03-29 12:55:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |
Someone tell me why this thread seriously hasn't died yet. ![]() | 2010-03-29 18:31:00 Author: Doopz ![]() Posts: 5592 |
Music works always fine for me, to relax. When I want to relax, I sometimes listen to Metallica. Not the most quiet band, I know, but some of their songs make me want sleep on on a soft bed made of feathers. I always listen to Fade to Black. If you have an ear for music, and possibly like metallica, I would advise you to go to Youtube, or get the "Ride The Lightning" CD, and listen to the song. Hear how all the sounds from guitars are in harmony. It works for me. If not that works, I can recommend Pink Floyd and the two last songs on the "Dark Side Of The Moon" album, which is "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse" after each other. I always get goosebumps when I am listening to the last piece of "Eclipse". I hope it helps! If not that helps either, you could always try to make a poem about something peaceful. Like a butterfly? "Oh, you teeny tiny butterfly with wings flopping through the air Your entry in the world is almost impossible for us to hear But all the joy you bring, such a tiny little thing You can make a child smile, and make the world a better place In my opinion, you're happiness's face" Now I wonder if happiness's is correct, I can't notice anything. | 2010-03-29 18:55:00 Author: moonwire ![]() Posts: 1627 |

@ moonwire, Im no metallica fan, though their music with the orchestra is very amazing, preferable I like to listen to various forms of electronic music (Ettiene de crecy/daft punk/thom york/aphex twin/cassius/chiptunes/chiptech) But my average mp3 list is also filled with Otis redding (and other soul singers), Mozart, Various forms of jazz, pop, french deephouse and some rock (incubus/machine head).. but lets not forget some good rap like "Bons thuggs and harmony" for instance. Just dont give me any dutch folksmusic, american country or fake gangsterrap like that half a dollar worth of rapper. I havent written any poems in the past 8 years, and the ones I do have are not so tranquill and peacefull. One of my best poems though, written a long time ago is this one: He was just a small child He was always happy and always smiled He always played outside Until one day his father died He was just a small child That never had a childhood He never know what it was It was something he never understood Left by all the friends he had They thought the kid was weird Because he always cried about his dad So they just disappeared Now the kid was all alone Always feeling weak and tired Since then the kid was on his own Never had the love that he desired All he needed was that special shoulder But he had to do it all by himself Now the little kid is bigger and older Big enough to reach that knife on the shelf Thought about his dad that he missed Closed his eyes and said goodbye And then he cut his wrist Leaving him on the floor to slowly die But the little kid wasn’t sad He even left his mom a little note Now I'm finally going to be with dad That was the last thing he ever wrote ![]() Someone tell me why this thread seriously hasn't died yet.I attached some life support! | 2010-03-31 12:09:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |

Well I am done with level 5.. need to make me a banner/trailer and create a challenge level for it (got it all set up so will take me about 3 hours) So might publish around monday. | 2010-04-01 02:05:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |
Not really my problem lol, and looking at the offtopic etc, I can tell that there is a lot of emotive talking, also looking at a lot of blogs.. I notice a lot of emotive talking.. So.. you might think its not that good for it, but for a lot of people it is. Yeah but why though? I understand blogs are used for emotive talking, but I think that should stay contained in blogs, not forums. Blogs are for personal/business life, and forums aren't. at a certain age, you cannot talk about everything thats bothering you with your parents. Also, besides my brother and mom, all my family died. (dont worry, its okay!) I also said 'closest relatives', if that makes any statement. Are you, your mom, and your brother the only people related to you? What I do if I'm depressed or angry, being a young adult, I usually shake it off, play some video games, and get over it. I also am a Christian, and I usually pray to God for help whenever I need it. Other people might not, but I do, and that's my opinion. (Uh oh, we don't need a religion war!) | 2010-04-01 22:33:00 Author: Shockwave4 ![]() Posts: 200 |
@Luos Wow, that poem blows away anything I have created, that's for sure, and now I feel a little uffish... I think I will have to open the tread "I really need a cheering thought"... ![]() The poem rocked anyway, you did a great job with it. and Sack the legendary 5 is out soon? all these invisible connections to all these invisible people i don't want to believe i close my eyes i don't want to see i drain my heart i don't want to breathe what you are is what we see what you feel is what we say i wrap you up in red to keep you close to me i send you out into the night to find a love for me anything to make me see to make me stay to make me breathe what you are is what we see what you feel is what we say today is the last day i don't want to stay today is the last day i want to run away what you are is what we see what you feel is what we say today is the last day today is the last day Your poem inspired me to post this. Its been a while, and therefore this might considered bumpage, sorry for that. I would like to let you know that ive followed some anger management stuff, mostly focussing on my verbal communication. Even though I still have the tendancy to curse a lot more among friends (but hey, who doesnt), I have noticed that not only my verbal abuse of the english language has somewhat decreased.. but my mind has become less chaotic of it. I think it shows in the way I have been acting on the forums lately, I dont think I have flamed anybody or anything the last few weeks, maybe even longer. I tend to think twice a lot more, and that not only helps in the way I talk on this forum, but also in me communicating with others. Being more calm and sometimes just taking a deep breath before responding/replying/answering has allready resulted in better outcomes. Thats about it, cheers ![]() - A little less angry luos | 2010-06-22 19:29:00 Author: Luos_83 ![]() Posts: 2136 |
