Hi Rez screenshots

Hey guys, I know how you can take the pictures you take in game and move them to your hard drive. The only thing is, they are very low resolution. I was wondering what the easiest way is to take a screenshot at the highest resolution possible.

I tried doing a search in case someone already said this but all the results show the process I already know. I just want to know if there was a different way that could make nice big pictures not the tiny little ones that I have now.

PC with an capture card, and for proper HD screens you will need one with an HDMI input.2010-03-05 12:42:00

You can also use one with composite out, but will need to purchase the other cable set for the PS3. Not the S-video cable set.

I use a Hauppauge HD PVR 1212 (http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html). It only will record up to 1080i, but LBP only outputs up to 720p. Here is an example of a pic using this... Feel free to click on it to see the larger version.

Or if you have a good picture camera, you can just take a picture of the TV screen (without flash)
and then crop it in photoshop for example...

Sure it's not the best method (a little blurry/"screen pattern"...) and it not as perfect as jww's picture,
but it could do the trick ...

Well, out of those options I'm going to have to try dajdaj03's because I do not have a capture card of any sort but I do have a nice DSLR so I'll try it out. Thanks for the responses!2010-03-05 17:40:00

Or, if you have a DVD recorder, you can record the PS3's output, rip the DVD on a PC, then take some stills from the MPEG2 stream.2010-03-05 19:59:00

How much do those cost?

Should be able to get one brand new for under $100 (or maybe $10 on ebay), but it's the sort of thing that some people already have, but don't realise they can use to create video files from the PS3's output.

Yeah, i've heard about using this idea but mine will record onto a VCR, so no deal for me.
