Heroes Vs. VilliansShakeMeUpJudy http://i47.tinypic.com/t7csya.jpgA new level using newly invented logic, where every choice you make effects the future. Well i thought i would release it early as i really wanted to, please play this level, it is really good. This level uses a new type of logic which i created my self which allows you to make choices and then the choices you make effect what happens in the future. This level could be short but it was so close to overheating i had to cut it short, the level will have expansion packs to add on to the existing story and so on. The Story line so far is you have just been released from prison for a crime you committed (you will find out later in the series) You are only on bail, you have a choice to make. Do you go over to the light side and try and become a super hero to do the world good, or become a super villain and fight the super heroes to try and bring them down. The choice is yours. This level is short because the thermo was starting to overheat, there should hopefully be more in the next level. Here are some pics from create mode: http://i47.tinypic.com/t7csya.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/xlav7b.jpg Note the text bubble in this picture was a friend talking to another friend who was also in create mode with me about a level they just played. http://i45.tinypic.com/23lku8k.jpg I don't want to reveal too much and spoil the story you will just have to play this level now and find out for yourselfs good luck with it. A special thanks to all the following people: Plasmavore EarthCop TheAdipose Luos_Desuc Fenderjt Mod5.0 Fredik94 You will also see some of the members of LBPC appear in the levels so keep an eye out for them. | 2010-03-04 17:34:00 Author: lbpholic Posts: 1304 |

Ok, I played it - very nice! PROS Nice use of the 3D effect Creative - I haven't seen a level quite like this one Good story and dialog CONS Short - the entire experience was over pretty quickly After you choose yes/know on some things the sponge keeps dropping down afterwards... it seemed odd that I could make a choice but the choices still appeared Not much detail in the graphics - especially in the upper area one you go to the "dark side" you could have had more things to look at. Nice job! | 2010-03-05 12:14:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Nice job! Thank you for checking out my level CCubbage i really appreciate it, when you said i go to the dark side more what do you mean by that? I am also working on making the choices not come down again, but other than that thank you for check it out, any levels you want me to do F4F on? | 2010-03-05 13:10:00 Author: lbpholic Posts: 1304 |
hm.... a 3D city...with a road stretching into the distance... with sack cutouts... and tracking back and forth... sounds awfully familar.... The city is pretty well done, the buildings were especially well built (although they could have had more decoration). The decision idea is a good one, but I think it could be better implemented - I agree that the 'blobs' should either raise permently - or dissolve after each choice. I think the areas after the city are very weak compared to the city itself - I really think they need a bit of tlc. Also, going from a gritty city to some weird sky town felt out of place - could the 'reward' not come from the city itself? I would be tempted to put even more gameplay into the city and take out the extra sections. I think there is a lot of potential in this level, but you've done yourself a slight disservice by releasing before its actually finished. Myself or Luos or many other of the creators im sure would happily play your level before general release and give you a few pointers - especially when you've shown yourself willing to learn and be helpful. I hope you carry on working on this - it's decent. Adi | 2010-03-05 15:09:00 Author: TheAdipose Posts: 533 |
I really like the idea of being able to make decisions that have actual consequenses. I've played your level twice (returning to also check out the hero-ending of course.) Promising stuff, but it could use more gameplay-elements; either some light platforming, or a little puzzle. Some sort of challenge. I'll be looking forward to what you will be doing with your exansion packs. | 2010-03-05 15:21:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I played it earlier and enjoyed it. The city and use of 3D was nice, but I felt it was missing something. Perhaps you could add more decorations or sounds to the city to "liven" it up a bit. The choice mechanic is cool, but like CCubbage and Adi said, the blobs should go away once you've made a choice. It just seemed weird for them to keep dropping into view. I also would have liked to see more choices . I feed the guy a hotdog, told the guy know about killing the lady... then took her out anyway, and then moved that crate. After that, I was evil! It just seemed to come a little too quickly. So, like Adi, it might have helped to have more objectives in the city before having the good or evil declaration being made. Since, I was evil, I went into the evil headquarters and again, it seemed like it was missing something. Maybe you should add more statues of the former villains to fill the space or some gargoyle statues or something to give it an dark and evil vibe. Overall, I really like the concept and the direction you are headed. So, keep making improvements and good work! | 2010-03-05 15:24:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
Wow thank you so much guys for all this great ideas and comments, i have just 10 minutes ago come out of Create mode with Luos who helped me make the sky town city thing better, i have also made the choices vanish after you select them now, i am also adding more stuff into the city i.m thinking about adding in a training course for both sides just to add some more gameplay elements. I havent released any of these updates yet as i wont to release it as a full whole level once it's complete instead of doing individual updates. Thank you for all your comments. | 2010-03-05 15:30:00 Author: lbpholic Posts: 1304 |
Okay it was nice, but there was too much talking. The level was too short and I was confused. Sorry, not much else to say. But the project your undertaking is going to take so long just for much less game play then if you went for a more... linear level. | 2010-03-07 11:57:00 Author: PPp_Killer Posts: 449 |
Didn't liked it very much... The level didn't looked really good, you should polish it abit, plus the sponges stay there even after your choice. I was recruited by the Council after killing a guy... F4F my Darkmist Woods level. | 2010-03-07 13:12:00 Author: Flame Dragon Posts: 312 |
I shall F4F in like 5 mins, thanks for your honest oppinons, i wouldve added more but seriousley the thermo is breathign down my neck is so full, i am currently working on a newever version where now once you make a choice you can't make it again and if you say no i dont want to kill the guy he vanishes so you can't, it is not ready for release yet but thanks. | 2010-03-07 13:21:00 Author: lbpholic Posts: 1304 |
AWSOME CONCEPT!!! I really liked the 3D detail in the beginning, but was sad when it didnt continue through the level . Basically, it needs more choices to determine the outcome as well as some grammer and spell check on those speech bubbles! hehe. Solid 3 stars, deffinately want to play again. . Dont forget to F4F (Death Locker Laboratory). | 2010-03-07 21:59:00 Author: x24k_Sebastianx Posts: 8 |
Thank you for your feedback, the new version i'm working on has better choices, the only reason i stopped the 3d glitch is cause i was fed up with it. It kept breaking my level i will try and add more though. I will be able F4F tonight as i have school lol so thanks. | 2010-03-08 08:26:00 Author: lbpholic Posts: 1304 |
