Did I make a good choice? (regards buying a PS3)

Archive: 9 posts

So I just bought a 40gb PS3 on ebay that has just had a new laser put in for ?120. Obviously it's very cheap, but his feedback was over 1000 and 100% positive (seems he sells lots of them) so do you think it will last long? I already have a 60gb PS3 but thats at home and i never use it (bro does) so I got this for when I'm at uni. There was a 30 day guarantee on it too so it seems rather trustworthy.
I also can't decide whether to make a new account for it. Reason being, say I'm online and my brother wants to use the PS3 at home then he cant sign in if im signed in. But it means losing all my trophy/online save data which sucks Hard decisions!

umm, most likely it wont last, thats why you barely see the old PS3's now, all you find around is the new slim one for 299 or 250, which is definetly worth it, but i mean yeah you did make a good choice i mean, You did get a PS3 after all , so dont feel consused bro.2010-03-03 23:57:00

I'm fairly sure if you sign in to an account when someone else is signed into it you kick the other person off.

Haha well I already have a good PS3 which is my proper one per say; I just wanted a cheap spare one and this dude seems fairly reliable. Oh well if it breaks after a few months it will sell for about 60/70 so I would of got my moneys worth no doubt.

And cheers R-C, thought it might. It's a **** hard decision but I may have to make a new seperate profile I'll still add my other one so I can get all my games though.

Could you keep your account and force your brother to be the one that gets a new account?2010-03-04 10:50:00

I could do, but then my bro would lose his mw2 level and he wont like that He barely plays it anyway tbh so I may be able to just use the same one and get off it when he wants to use it (which is rarely). Just been dispatched so it should come tomorrow. Can't wait to finally be able to play PS3 again May even finish/make lbp levels again. I have one that is SO CLOSE to being finished...

I decided to just use my account and have my bro tell me when he wants to use it. It came today... mega happy Just playing Uncharted 2 for the first time. There's a huge problem with the game though... no loading screens or breaks or anything :/ How am I supposed to get off it!? Must... see... what... happens... next!2010-03-05 19:37:00

If you say you never used the first ps3 then what's the problem with starting fresh on the new one?2010-03-06 17:37:00
