Teleportation tool.

hey people, i've recently come up with a pretty simple teleport tool that takes up very little thermo space. 1. First you'll need 2 infinate check points. 2. Then make yourself 2 of these http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/1.jpg set the magnet switch to 1 shot (leave the emitter for now) 3. The next step is to make 2 peace's of grabbable material with grabswitches. Place them both above the checkpoints. Set the grab switches to 1 shot and attach each one to the emitters. http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/2-1.jpg 4. Now you must attach the left grab switch to the right checkpoint and vise versa. http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/3-1.jpg 5. 2 global lighting tools are next. Set them both to 0.1 seconds with no light and max darkness. Attach the magnet keys to each lighting tool like this. http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/4.jpg 6. Now make and capture one of these. http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/5.jpg Then have the emitters emit the object in the middle of the dark matter. Set each emitter like this, Frequency - 0.1s, Lifetime - 0.1, Max emitted - infinate, At once - 1. 7. Next you will need 2 more global lighting tools set to 0.1s and whatever normal lighting settings you want for the level. Place each global tool above the checkpoints. Take 2 sensor switches and place each one on a checkpoint. set to 1 shot and attach to the corresponding lighting tool. like so. http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/6.jpg 8. The final stage is to create a strip of material, 3 layers thick, that is attached to a peace of invisable dark matter with a piston. set the piston to Max length - 50, Min length - 1, Time - 0.3s, Stiff - yes, Visible - no http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/7.jpg Turn the material to gas and capture it. Then place 2 emitters each above a checkpoint and set to Frequency - 0.1, Lifetime - 1s, Max emitted - infinate, at once - 1. Then have them emit the object you've just captured just above the checkpoints and attach the corresponding megnet switch and your done. If you've done this correctly it should look something like this. http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt252/flinnoy/9.jpg These checkpoints can now be placed anywere in the level and you can then teleport to other places. My level crystal forest 4 will be out soon and use's this toll quite well. I made a simple teleporter that I'm going to use in a future level but I just used a proximity sensor, I guess though if you have all of this captured you can easily just put them throughout your level without having to wire stuff over and over again. | 2010-03-03 23:37:00 Author: shebhnt ![]() Posts: 414 |
